  1. Only got a few bits and pieces left over from the sale of my s14, so here they are. Offers welcomed. Centre console - aircon vent. Please take note of one pin that has snapped. Might be able to repair it. $20 Stock s14a cooler (the intakes have been covered with the plastic bags to prevent dust - before someone asks!) $50 Original front mats $20 Spacers - generic 5mm $10 Prices negotiable. Should be able to send the smaller items, but do prefer pickup. Thanks!!!!!!!
  2. Thought I'd update this. I've worked out that the reverse ticking noise only occurs when you ride the brake in reverse while turning the wheel (ie. Parallel park). Wierd! If I reverse without riding the brake, all is fine (still turning the wheel of course)...
  3. Think the first one with the clouds forming makes it look tuffer? lol...
  4. +1 for tuffness! How does it ride though on 20's and slammed?
  5. V36 coupe and sedan are both nice looking and modern. I'd still got the coupe. The car sorta resembles the Lexus in a way! V35, definitely coupe only. I too get the same reaction when I tell people it's a 2003 car. Just Friday, the response was "I thought it was a bit newer than that, maybe 2007?"
  6. Ok cool. I'd be keen to see how you go. Also uploaded the reverse ticking noise. You can hear it in the background (ignoring the reverse beep!) reversetick.wav
  7. Yeap oil is normal and I changed oil the weekend I got the car. Running edge 5w-30 in it. Oil is right level and done about 2000k. Haven't noticed the noise lately but will keep out for it.
  8. Yeap, got a coupe too. Smooth road is smooth as. Bumpy rough roads, more road noise and what not, but I don't think it's that uncomfortable? I came from an s14 lowered, so everything about this car is more comfortable Are you trying to compare it against any particular car?
  9. Had my 03 v35 auto coupe for about a month now. Great car, and a very smooth drive Picked up on noises lately that I wasn't sure about. First is at cold crank (usually overnight). Sometimes I get a rattle/crank noise when I start. I'm guessing this is an oil pressure problem of some sort? Rare to occur, but always in the morning. Only noticed it twice in the last week. The other noise is a ticking noise in reverse only? This isn't the infamous axle clicking problem is it? Fairly light noise, only when I engage reverse and turning into a park. Sounds like its coming from the front. It's a similar sound to CV joints failing in fwd cars (but a hell of a lot fainter)! The third noise has been deemed normal (thank god). The one when you first take off in D and get a funny noise once you reach 20kmph. I'll have to try and record these noises at the right moment!
  10. Think there are quite a few potenzas? What model. Think it reads RE002 or something? All I know is that the Potenza is a fairly expensive tyre!
  11. I get that noise too on an auto 2003 v35 coupe. Think mine is more of a "choof" noise. Comes from first start, in D, and when you first hit 20kmph or thereabouts. Glad its normal
  12. Yeah, the v35 sucks with the largish camber. Can't really square them up without getting aftermarkets. I'm running -2 on the rears. For some reason, one side could go to -0.5 and the other side couldnt get under -2 :S Previous owner(s) must've hit the kerb pretty hard or something?
  13. $300 a corner fron Jack Baker. Not dirt cheap, but affordable!
  14. For completeness, ended up going for the KU31. Good dry grip, low noise. Haven't tested wet yet, and we'll have to see about wear!
  15. Hmm, been skimming through posts here and I have hopefully narrowed it down to a manageable 4 to choose from (based on quietness and wear): Falken 912 Sumitomo HTR Z III Hankook K107 Kuhmo KU31 Time to get prices I reckon!
  16. Yeah, once I sort out which tyre I'm definitely replacing all 4 to get it back to the standard recommendation! Thanks for the tip. Will look into those Kuhmo's Dames!
  17. Put my silvia rims onto the v35 which had Federal 595ss (235/40/18) and they're noisy as! Nonetheless, gripped well and lasted 30,000 so far and still just under 50% tread left. Will be changing tyres I think, because I don't think I can bare the 4wd noise much longer (never realised how noisy they were in the silva!!!)... Will go for the taller 45 tyre, but just deciding on a quiet, hard wearing tyre...
  18. Ahh nice. Just removed it!!! Changing the rims now hahahah...........................................................
  19. Oh, so it's not meant to be there? zzzzz... Thought it served some crazy purpose... any idea how it's held on?
  20. lol@interior.... geebus.... crazy japs.... Tuff rims though
  21. Looks good, maybe needs to be a little bigger like the others said Hopefully the valance improves the look for you!
  22. Hi all Just wondering, do any of you know what that extra orange coloured stud in my photo does and if it can be removed? Reason is that I have a set of rims from my old car that I wouldn't mind putting on the v35, but that 6th stud (if I can call it that) is slightly in the way! I don't want to have to modify the rim to fit, so I might end up having to shop for new rims just because of it! I reckon it'll limit the choice of rims massively as well?? The photos show the extra stud on the v35, the rims I'm trying to use, and the stock rims from the v35.
  23. 1131 with justcars. 27yrs, no accidents or disqualifications. SA.
  24. I just placed one of those motion sensored chime things (battery operated), and it got rid of my issue... depends if you can place it in a good position and how closed off your garage is
  25. I'd be interested to know the same thing. Just purchased a v35 as well and I've done oil, but will need to drain the other fluids too. Mine is an auto, so maybe we can get auto trans capacities as well.
