  1. Thanks for all the replies guys. I've called Nissan and they tell me they can do it for me. Mount to the front seat rails, I think. Will let you know once its done.
  2. I think the pre-requisite is that it needs to be easily accessible, so it needs to be in front. My friends 911 and BMW have it stuck to the front seat structure. Just don't know who in Melbourne can do it. Thanks.
  3. Hi Guys, Here is a question for you track gurus out there. I am a true track amateur with my GMG R35. I intend to track the car in a few weeks and they require a fire extinguisher to be installed in the car. Where can I get it done? How do they do it? Does it require welding or drilling? How much does it cost? Would be good if you could post some photos of the install. Thanks in advance.
  4. I've got my exhaust heat wrapped from the mid-joint back to rear mufflers. Hopefully that stops radiated heat getting to the tranny. The main reason, though, is to reduce in-cabin temps. However, I've noticed that my tranny oil temps sit around 86deg C on a spirited country drive, utilizing 4,5 and 6th gears. A friend's R35 on the same trip recorded Tranny temps around 90 Deg C ( with no exhaust wrap). Of course, this comparison is highly unscientific, but is interesting. Outside temp was 14 degrees. What are you guys recording? Anyone tried the Willall tran fluid and recorded a significantly lower temp?
  5. Has anyone tried heat wrapping the exhaust from the catback to reduce trans temps? I have read this in a few other forums and it seems to lower temps in the trans AND the rear seat of the car!!! Is this true??? Thanks.
  6. 3000km on the clock would be a used one, though. I am wondering if anyone has ordered a new one and got less than $170k for the car. Interesting to know because a lot of prestige cars in that segment are finding it difficult to find owners.
  7. Has anyone negotiated on a discount price for the R35 (new) considering the current "buyer's market" due to the price of cars plummeting?
  8. Thanks, mate. We'll have to take a chance. Hopefully global warming will come in handy!
  9. Werribee is not authorized. It is Blackburn and Ferntreegully Nissan who are selling it. City Nissan thought they were selling it and took 12 deposits of $5000. Guess they're not now...
  10. Dealers here have said March 2009 delivery from the very start of this year. That has not changed, in their opinion. I have put and order down, already. I hope they stick to their word. I am not holding my breath though, I am expecting Apr or May 09, knowing what car salespeople are like. By the way, I am going to Frankfurt in Feb 09. Can you please tell me if the roads of the BlackForest and Nurbugring are snowed under in February? Is it worthwhile going for a drive in those 2 locations? Thanks.
