Cheers for the quick reply mate, I think I need to invest in some quality front speakers. I'm not sure if the ones in there are stock, there a dark blue? There's also a pair of kenwood tweeters attached which came with the kenwoods that were in my rear parcel when I bought the car. I have since replaced the rear speakers with some MB Quart 6x9's but these decided to melt on me, thankfully the warranty covers it and i'll be getting them replaced. However with the subs I really don't have a need for the 6x9's as im assuming they'll just be drowned out? So I may get rid of them and get a quality component set for the front. Yea i'm going to bring in a electrician mate to give me a hand with the wiring installation etc so it shouldn't be too much trouble upgrading my ground wires etc. Would it even be worth hooking the second amp up to my current speakers? They look to be in a decent condition unlike some stock speakers i've seen in other cars mainly falcons. Thanks again Jamie

Basically guys my situation is I was just given a subwoofer system including two subwoofers, two 4-channel amps and 2 capacitors. The system is used but in really good nick however it is probably been sitting around the house for at least 4 or 5 years judging by the fact the subs and amps arent made anymore. What i'm trying to workout is how they had it hooked up as short of going to the shop that installed it and asked what they would have done i'm quite baffled. The system is the following: 2 x 10" Eclipse SW8102.4 500W RMS, 4ohm Subwoofers 2 x Eclipse PA5422 800W Max Amp This amp can run in the following: 200W x 4 2ohm (MAX) 120W x 4 2ohm RMS 85W x 4 4ohm RMS 240W x 2 4ohm RMS (bridged mode) 2 x capacitors Now seeing as the amps can't be run in a single bridged mode the only conclusion I can draw is that the subs were running off of the one amp at 240W each, half what they could handle. And the second amp was used for speakers throughout the car. Does anyone else have any insight into this as to other possible ways it could be hooked up? The other option is that there was another mono amp that was forgotten about but even that doesn't make sense as who needs two 4channel amps. Any help would be appreciated. Also what gauge wiring should I look at to power this system? And do the brands matter for wiring or are the differences negligable as JB hifi recommended either Sony or Cadence wiring packs. Ahhh. . . I would have definently taken the motor off your hands, my RB25DE just died. . had a look on the forum nothin up at the time so I bought one from a wrecker for $1250. . so anyone else looking for an RB25DE your getting a crazy bargain on this one. Good luck with the sale mate.

Hey guys looking for some Sunny Coast knowledge here. Recently got my P's and I want to finally do some work on my car. Its a stock R33 with only some pretty average rims. At the moment I have around $4.5k to spend on it. I got $800 rego due soon so i'd make it around 3.8k I was wondering if anyone could point me to a panel beater or similar that could either fit a bodykit and make the paint look new again or simply fit the bodykit and respray the car in the same colour? Anyone think it would be possible to get it done for around the 2-3k mark? Kits costing me $900 from DMD who want 2.6k in total to fit and colour code it, no fixing of paint elsewhere. Just after opinions. PS please don't mention its a GTS and why waste my money etc as i'll be driving it for 3years and the bodykits really the only mod i'm going to do as the stock one depresses me. Once i'm off my p's i'll get what I can for it and buy a turbo or a GTR if I can scrape the money together.

Spotted a skyline cruise Ya's woulda seen me walkin home in my woolies uniform as ya went through beerwah. . . some seriouslly nice skylines. Out of curiosity the silver R33 at the rear of the line what exhaust you got sounded very very nice as you went past. Wish I coulda come, once I got the license i'll be there. Car will hopefully have around 4k of addons by then too

Down in sydney on friday seen a brand new Red R35 outside a dealer 0K's on the clock. Put me to shame seeing as it's brake discs were probably bigger than my rims Yea if i'm correct the Silver R35 on the coast is owned by the young guy at Junipers has it got plates "pay320" if so apparently it's a V-Spec but I don't know if thats correct so don't quote me on that

Yea I didn't make the post to judge the people in the crash, just wondering if they were on here cause it was a seriously lucky escape. Pic looked intense car was nearly in half. Yea the article didn't say anything about speeding and it was probably raining at the time with the weather we've been having.

Hey guys need some advice on product and method. It seems a cat has spent some time on my car and theres tiny lil scratches which im hoping will come out with a really good clean. What kinda products and what should I do to get at the scratches to be at least less visible. OR My second option is im getting a bodykit once kevins money comes so how much extra do you think it would cost to get the car touched up while there colour coding the bodykit to the car??

Oh and also yea cheers for the warning bout not tellin em where my car's parked, however there is a very large van thats parked behind mine in the driveway 90% of the time so if they want me there going through that dirty beast first god I love the van.

Also I was driving past landsborough saturday night and a white skyline, pretty sure R33 passed the car behind me and myself. Sounds very nice and i've seen it once before I think. Possibly had blue neons I can't remember.

I read about it in the courier mail or sunny coast daily can't remember. Skyline hit a tree bent in half and driver and passenger walked away without a scratch. Was it anyone on the forums or does anyone know em. Seriouslly lucky people.

Hey Jase cheers for the reply man. My car is currently parked in Nichols Avenue near that new development next to the high school. Gotta wash the thing tomorrow damn tree in the yard decided to drop all its yellow flowers on it. Jokes on the tree though cause it's no longer there! Umm well lost the license not from hooning before I get grilled.... I got my ass kicked for that overloading past 11pm and no P plates lost all my points and decided to take the 3months of no license rather than 12months probation..... Lets just say I won't be doing any latenight Macca's runs with the boys anymore.... i learned my lesson.... I think i get my license back in the next few weeks so i'd be really keen to meet up/cruise with any of the sunny coast boys. Do you know who owns the black R33 out on Peachester Road near the primary school Jase? Theres also an older couple that drive a white R33 that I see shopping in woolies sometimes.

I think it'll look unique, the rust adds a different effect looks good.

Hey guys just thought i'd introduce myself names Jamie but everyone calls me Pez. I live out at Beerwah but make regular trips into Chancellor for uni and i'm on the coast. One's my cars back on the road i'll be keen to meet some of ya's and check out these rides. However i'm on my P's so I only drive a humble GTS..... I know..... but hey at least it's a line.

Three years is a long time who know's what will happen to my humble GTS between now and then. If enough work goes into it i'll drop a new engine in instead of buyin a GTS-T. Thanks for the replies too guys, not 100% on what i'll get yet but the responses have helped a lot. Im thinkin one of the lower end $1000-1500 ones as they seem to be more street friendly?

Hey guys thought i'd tap into the vast knowledge on anything skyline and get some info. At the moment im close to the $2500 needed for my new bodykit however im now thinking i'll save that little bit longer and get coilovers at the same time so it looks even meaner. My car is a 1994 R33 GTS, no NA jokes im on my P's and therefore i'm happy with my lil GTS. In 3yrs i'll drop somethin nicer in the bay or just buy a GTS-T... but anyway what's everyones thoughts on coilovers. I don't want to spend a fortune as i'm not a serious racer but I am keen to hit up some track days down the road. What kinda price range would I be lookin at for a mid budget coilovers? Also what brands do you all recommend and who should I steer clear of. Theres a few on ebay that look the part but im cautious bout buyin anything off ebay as I don't have the knowledge to know what i'm looking it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Pez.
