  1. Not true unfortunately. Sensitivity of a driver is measured at 1W, what the driver does with 100W or say 1000W in the real world is an entirely different matter. It's easy to build a driver with a light coil and suspension, that has an efficiency of 105+dB with 1W, but it would most likely explode when you put even 100W into it. Also "efficiency" specs never take into account enclosure etc. The bottom line is, don't buy a woofer based on it's efficiency spec. Phil
  2. Add a solenoid to lock the hand-brake up. Install a fuel cut solenoid. Hide the alarm module, it doesn't have to be under the dash. Best still, get a $1000 shit box to drive to work. A shame, but often necessary in these times....... Phil
  3. Wow, you really seem to be mis-understanding what I'm saying. By saying that we are number one, I'm not putting down other people's products. We're proud to be number one, I know a lot of brands are trying to beat us. Not sure where I said "everything is crap (pioneer, alpine, jbl, etc....)", but hey make stuff up if you need to. Our amps have a replacement warranty, so if your friend even exists, let alone his "collection" of amps, he really should be taking them back to the place of purchase. Phil
  4. The best options for bass in a Skyline is to lose the spare and go fibreglass in the wheel well. Woofers loading off the boot lid gives the best results. I've gone a big as 6 cubic feet for a pair of 9515s in an R33. Phil
  5. Or you could listen to any of our demo cars. Ferrari F430 with two of our $7000ea ZT45 tube amps 12,000Wrms BMW X5 on 24s 8,000Wrms VE Senator on 22s 14,000Wrms Cartunez Colt - airbags, full custom dash with ten 5" mids, walled with nine 10" subs. Or something a little more down to earth, Ben's Echo with a set of our 5" splits and three 8" woofers. (even it still does 145dB on Termlab). Phil
  6. You can argue until you're blue in the fact, but there is no denying that we are number one. Sorry for this getting do far off topic. Back to Focal clones........ Phil
  7. The only problem you had is being busted ass broke and not being able to pay for something you committed to purchase. We refunded your deposit in full, not sure what you've got to complain about. Stop making up lies to make yourself look better. I'm sick of your crap. Phil
  8. USACI isn't the world standard for audio competition, dB Drag Racing is. www.dbdragracing.com.au The loudest car ever in the entire world is Alan Dante, at 180.5 and he uses just one DD woofer to do it. Phil PS: I assume you're referring to Audioque HD-312s, they are made by DD. :)
  9. We can say we are the best because we are. Outright World record five years running. Every Australian class record. Actually George used Digital Deisgns Z1a amplifiers to set the Street A record as they were 0.5 louder than his Atomic amps. He also used DD woofers for the Street B record. In fact here's George's (the Atomic importer) sig from "Mobile Electronics"...... Phil
  10. Really, in what class? I think you should check your facts. Vernon is still 2.5dB off our 3 year old SS3-4 record. Team Boomz are 5+dB of our SS1-2 car. Phil
  11. Look better? Not sure we could get any better. We hold EVERY Australian SPL record. We have been number one in the World, FIVE years running. Phil
  12. ROFL Phil
  13. I didn't mention our brand at all, I just pointed out some things I don't agree with about Option Audio. I for one, would never sell fake Focal speakers with our brand on it. Option Audio is a locally based, marketing company. An engineering powehouse it is not. Phil
  14. Well five years in a row of being number one in the World proves otherwise. Phil
  15. You only make yourself look stupid spouting BS like that. Perhaps you should read this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fu...em-t202203.html Phil
  16. You really should expand your horizons......... Phil
  17. Take a little drive and see Tony at Doran Pro Audio www.doranproaudio.com.au Phil
  18. Engineering? They go to China and say "that one will do, slap Jaycar on it and give us 10,000". They do offer good power for the $$, but shop around you can buy "name brand" amps for not a lot more, that offer better performance and re-sale value. Phil
  19. Option Audio is very well marketed. Their screens and headrests are great value and very popular. I'm not so keen on some of their other gear, for example off their website: "OAX3200 the ultimate – need more be said 3000WRMS Class D amplifier. Producing some award winning DB records" Having tested this amp, and knowing that we currently hold all (yes every class) Australian Records, I disagree with this statement. Also, take a look at the "Option Audio" splits vs Focal splits. Phil
  20. This is our 99Z subwoofer, as used by Alan Dante, the loudest man ever, 180.5dB. It's not cheap (at around $5000), but it is the very best you can get. Our course, we have "normal" speakers as well, even our entry level 512 ($249) is hand made in the USA in the same factory, by the same people, with the same glues and materials as used in the 99Z. All DD gear is designed for sonic excellence. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that it's "SPL only", this is definitely not the case. We win in SPL because of efficiency, power handling and being over engineered. A single DD woofer can outperform 3-4 "normal" woofers. A lot of people use our 1508 8" woofer as it kills most other 12s. This saves weight and money. Phil
  21. Absolutely, for example our Digital Designs S4 is a high end asymmetrical amplifier. It is rated at 2x100 and 2x200Wrms. It also features on board 24dB/octave bandpass crossover. It can deliver 2x100Wrms into front components and 1x700Wrms into 2 ohms mono for sub(s) from a single compact package. I'd be happy to demo a vehicle and show you what you've been missing all these years. Autobarn Capalaba were the 2007 Australian SPL champions. Over 162dB from just two DD woofers, in a car with standard windows. Phil
  22. The World standard for car audio SPL competition is dB Drag Racing, surely even you has heard of this? www.dbdragracing.com Please visit the site and select the "dB Drag Racing" from the menu on the left, then "Leaderboard" Select the year, start 5 years back, 2003 and “dB Drag Racing”, then “next”. Then select "Maximum Certified SPL" and "List Standings" This brings up a list, in 2003 "Team dB Warriors" hit 173.3dB using Digital Designs (DD) woofers. Search 2004 at the top is "Team Loud" on 176.1dB If you look further you will see they too used Digital Designs (DD) woofers. Do the same for 2005: It's a tie at 178 for Team Loud (DD) and Edge Audio (Pioneer). However in Deathmatch competition at the World Finals, (a five minute average!), Team Loud hit an incredible 175.1 (non stop for 5 minutes!), while Edge Audio managed just 104.8dB Now 2006: Team Loud, 179.5 - guess what, again with Digital Designs woofers 2007: Alan Dante - 180.5 Alan is the loudest man ever, the first ever over 180dB. Alan uses a SINGLE Digital Designs 18" woofer and only four amps to hit 180.5dB!!!! For the record Edge Audio came in at number 2, with a still impressive 179.8 using 13 Pioneer woofers and 52 amps. There you have it. DD have been number one in the world for five years running. We also hold every Australian record. I should know, I've built the loudest car in Australia since 1999. So who ever has been filling your head with these lies, tell them to do some research. Phil
