After a recent trip Squizz and I took to Super A-Mart, it was decided we needed to pass on the knowledge we gained in moving furniture.
I think the most important tip is be prepared.
1. Have a suitable vehicle, a 1980s Mazda 626 Tourer with roof racks.
2. Have suitable straps to tie down the furniture, one occy strap will do, two may be required, two plus a piece of wire, a shoe lace and a sheet is ideal.
3. Don't bother learning how to use the adjustable tie down strap you remembered to bring as it won't be required with the above straps.
4. Brind a friend with enough common sense to suggest using two occy straps instead of one (but not enough common sense to work out the proper tie down strap).
5. Test the load is secure by pushing it once and if it moves less than a foot it is secure.
6. Drive 20 metres before deciding two occy straps isn't going to cut it, just to be sure, then join the piece of wire and sheet together to make a third tie down strap.
There you have it, easy. You think I'm kidding?
