Tap water is fine for top ups.. Looks to me like you just had an air pocket in your coolant system.. Not bled properly when the coolant was changed... Don't stress unless it drops another liter...

If i could only get the synchros it would have been way under 2600... But i due to supersession i would have needed to replace a long list of parts... As soon as you tell nissan parts that you have a series 1 box they tell you to sit down before they give you the quote.

If you had read the whole thread you would have realized that he was referring specifically to V8 supercars and not to V8s in general. I think your looking a bit to hard for a V8 Vs turbo argument that never goes anywhere... I'm pretty sure most people would think its pretty dumb going on skylinesaustralia and calling turbo's snow blowers. And your le mans argument is pretty flawed because as far as i'm aware turbo diesel audi's and peugot's are dominating...

No more strain on the drivetrain. Not needed... But i want one.. If your really not happy with the way a 1.5 way diff works.. btw your explanation of how a 1.5 way diff works is wrong. You should buy a standard diff from the for sale section. (should be fairly cheap) and sell your 1.5 way.. Pm me if you want to sell it.

Gear ratio exactly the same... Only thing i know for sure (from first hand experience) is that you can't get spare parts for series 1 gearboxes. For example i wanted to change 1st-2nd synchro. Called nissan and due to a supersession i needed to replace all synchro's, selector and a long list of other things... Trade price quote came to $2600... In short the series 1 is fine as long as nothing goes wrong in it...
