  1. seconded. Adam and Ben certainly know what they're doing.
  2. it's one of the more modified RB25's on SAU. Hope you get it back mate. I'll keep an eye out for you.
  3. the engine number will start off "RB20...." or "RB25....."
  4. pics of the cooling panel?>
  5. this thread has traces of MINES_DATSUN But if money is not a consideration then buy yourself a Tomei Renesis RB26DETT. Phase 1 Derive puts out 480bhp...you can go all the way to Phase 3, I'm sure that'd be an easy 1000bhp and because you have no money restraints that'd be nice, sweet and simple for you.
  6. good work mate and very entertaining story. Do you have your time slips? Oh and what car?
  7. same would apply for a R33... but in a straight line launch you wouldn't start from below 3,000rpm
  8. IF it is a 180, how is that a sedan when it's a coupe.
  9. would you seperate parts? you can possibly get more money out of it
  10. *phew* that's a relief thanks guys.
  11. just to clarify this is on a RB20DET
  12. I was trying to remove my O2 sensor yesterday (which is a total bitch by the way - I gave up). I noticed that I have a hole near the turbo. It's not on the turbo itself but it's close enough for me to be worried. Anyone got any ideas?
  13. I'm guessing it's either a 4 door Skyline or a Cefiro.
  14. how the hell did you bonnet come off? Aftermarket bonnet and no bonnet pins?
  15. doesn't say anything about a Skyline, only the media goldmine words like "turbo" and "Nissan"
  16. BUMP. I'll even straight swap with a stock exhaust.
  17. just saw a dark grey R33 with a SAU sticker on the side boosting it up Waterloo Rd.
  18. I think my exhaust may have a leak somewhere. I have a feeling the turbo gasket may also be up the creek. I drive with the windows down a lot and I tend to notice a strong exhaust smell occassionally (both in traffic and when I'm totally alone). I have thought of replacing my exhaust with a stock unit as I'm sick to death of my droney cat back. Question is what do you guys recommend I do? I don't really want to buy a new cat back but I will if I have to. I don't mind going back to a stock cat back but is it really that quiet and will I lose a lot of power? Cheers.
  19. Ok I bought a new Nismo gearknob but it doesn't fit on my gear stick as it's a short shifter. I was wondering how can I get it to fit? To attach the gear knob there's a removable screw piece which you screw onto the gear shifter and then you screw the gearknob onto this. The thread on the shifter is too small so it doesn't work properly. I thought of cutting the smaller thread off and rethread the shift but I'm not too fond of that idea. Anyone got any ideas of how to get the gearknob to fit? Is re-threading the best option? I have thought of using araldite but yeah, once it's on it's not coming off.
  20. attached is where the wire goes through. To get to it in the cabin you need to take the kick panel and the panel below the dash to get to the other side of the firewall.
  21. saw R34 boosting it nicely on Parramatta Rd going past Auburn Maccas.
  22. welcome to the endless money trap
  23. you'll get more than $4K for the parts. The engine should be ok I reckon...
  24. Lucky I've got my camera at work today. I'll take some photos of where I've put my wire through.
