  1. my turbo timer won't let me lock the car whilst it's counting down...kinda making it obsolete. I've found out that they're a little useless, as my EGT will give me a better indication of when to turn the engine off. My turbo timer is mainly used for it's other functions now (HKS Type-1). Found another issue - I can't adjust the height of my steering wheel. The locking thing which you move down to move the steering column up and down is stuck. I might have to use some ingenius ways to loosen it...

  3. wrong. I told this to famous and they rejected that and said that you need to have a policy in your name (not the go with dad and be nominated trick). I was pissed off with them but they were still cheaper than all the others. But next year I'll probably be going 3rd party only. reignman82 - if you can't afford it then look at something else.
  4. actually no. I got stuck in similar traffic last week in mum's auto 323 and my left leg was asleep after 5 minutes. I find it actually more intense driving an auto as I have to battle to stay awake

  8. I used to have starting issues in that the car used to struggle to get up to the idling rpm. This used to be resolved with a simple jab on the accelerator to bring it up to the right rpm - no issues. I then fixed this issue by replacing my fuel pump to a walbro 225L p/h and it's been fine since until recently. I had my alternator die about two weeks ago and it got replaced last week. Now one thing I've noticed is that the starting issue has re-emerged. The other thing is that my voltage sits at around 12V until I rev it up to around 2,500rpm. The "normal" voltage I read is around 13.5V or so (this is reading through my HKS Type-1 turbo timer which has a voltage readout). I'll check the voltage at the battery itself (multimeter has a blown fuse) this afternoon. Shouldn't the voltage be at 14.4V when the engine's on? What could be causing the starting issue? Not enough power? This is in a RB20DET btw.

  11. the only thing missing is a cold air partition (like on mine)... oh and the adapter is a little too long, I only want to move mine 4/5 inches to the left so it's easier to make an cold air partition.
  12. light brekky and skipping lunch will not make a difference (unless you eat like a horse). try running 225/50's on the stockers...else you could get GTR rims which are 16x8 (as opposed to 16x6.5) I'd probably get onto the track first and see what times you run. There's no use in us telling you to do this and that without knowing how far off you are from a 12sec 1/4. If anything a good launch will get you the most improvement.
  13. best thing to do is probably respray it with the colour it is now. As Waz said it's harder to sell a car that's been resprayed.

  17. I've been pulled over for taking a corner "too fast". I argued hard with the cop that what I was doing was legal - he argued that my tyres were screeching (they weren't) so it was a his word vs my word type thing. He was looking hard to defect me but couldn't, his mate in the paddy wagon then called him back to go chase someone else.

  20. the attached image is of my pod filter. I want to move it more to the left, so it's easier to make a cold air box for it. I tried to do it the other day but it was near impossible as the filter is too close to the intercooler pipes. How does one extend the intake pipe? I've seen it before with other people... What's the cannister to the right of the pod filter?
