  1. I only get 320-ish a full tank before the light comes on. (City driving). only got exhaust, pod and fmic (boost at 0.8bar).
  2. Ryco filters. use 10W/40 synthetic (or semi synthetic oil). I use Motul 4100. change: water pump, timing belts, sparkies. Flush radiator if you haven't already, same for brakes (use Motul DOT 5.1 or higher grade brake fluid). Clean the pod if you haven't already.
  3. I'm surprised I'm the only import on my street, althought there is a guy with a VL and RB30DET in it.
  4. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/me...tposter&t=43160 PranK
  5. coil pack issue. Roy and myself both had a similar problem.
  6. do you have any pics of the airbox? Is the airbox for R32? [email protected] cheers.
  7. i have one on my 32 but even turned up all the way it's really really dark. My Blitz boost gauge however stand out like a sore thumb.
  8. I recently installed a front mount intercooler and accidently cut the wrong pipe. Anyway I did a quick patch up job but now I'm leaking boost (hot side intercooler), so in order to not do some damage I've been driving off boost. Conclusion - the RB20DET is a dog off boost. What mods can I do to improve low down performance? Currently I've got installed: A'PEXi Power Intake (pod filter) - but I'm going to change back to the stock airbox because I haven't made a partition and the heat soak is fairly noticable. Blitz LM Intercooler Blitz BOV (stock BOV still present) exhaust is 2.5" but I'm changing to 3" very soon (hopefully). I was thinking of getting some adjustable cams. UAS have this STR cams for $380 (both in and ex) which I think is a bargain - if properly tuned can cams give me some grunt down low (off boost)?
  9. hands up those currently driving around with no front bar? I've seen a few Skylines like that this week...
  10. flush the gearbox oil first. Try Castrol VMX80 if you're on a budget or Redline Shockproof Gearbox Oil if you've got about $100 or so. I had similar issues on my R32 but I changed recently to VMX80. Solved most issues. I'll be trying the Redline in about 10,000km's. John from UAS swears by the Redline Oil.
  11. hey mate I have 2 10" JL Audio subs (10W0-4) 4ohm. they're in good condition.
  12. buy some beer and take a SAU member along to check it out with you (preferrably someone with experience in Skylines). Can't get better protection than that.
  13. omg liek lern 2 speel!
  14. there's a vid on the mccr forums.
  15. you're forgetting the bomex front bar and 400r side skirts are an extra 20rwkw each! seriously why do people do this? (listing mods which have no effect on power). we need more details like - what turbo - what front mount (specs) - boost level
  16. nice but the wheels are too small.
  17. yeah i sometimes have coil pack issues with my R32 (one would misfire and it'd sound like a Boxer engine). Also make sure your injectors are cleaned.
  18. oh...i didn't check the hoon thread on OCAU. still nice find.
  19. mate a granny shift is like shifting at 3 grand (ie. not redlining it). a short shift kit will reduce the throw hence it's quicker. the c's kit is 30% short than stock).
  20. double clutching? wtf? i think you've been watching a little too much fast and the furiNAWS. vin diesel's granny shifting speech was full of crap and didn't make sense... oooh..
  21. Mother's is quite good. how much was the respray?
  22. there's a pic of her in the vic forum.
  23. poyz good find!
  24. lol...no sympathy on SAU for idiots who purposely break the law.
