  1. holy crap yes! it's scary aswell as I know I have better brakes then they do! I have full comp but I drive like I don't as it costs too much too make a claim.
  2. i agree. It's an import so good luck in finding cheaper insurance.
  3. spotted MKEWAY in Burwood the other day. also spotted what looks like to me a R32 GTS-t with a GT-R badge...
  4. thanks for the replies. I'll continue to monitor the car (been fine) but I'll check the coil packs this weekend when I have the time.
  5. i got a dodgey mechanic to check the car before I bought it. So far it's cost me $1,500 in getting it up to scratch (replace clutch cylinders, gaskets, power steering pump, right front boot plus a few others I can't remember now).
  6. I was driving my R32 this morning, just cruising at around 60km p/h and suddenly I got a really weird engine noise / feel. I stopped at the lights and it felt really "lumpy" a bit of a "put put" engine sound like what the VW Beetle makes (but not as high pitched). I gave it a bit of rev when stationary (quick tap up to about 2 - 2.5) and much the same. I then proceeded to drive off normally in the hope that it was just an intermittent thing to no avail. I drove on boost and that was fine. Then I guess suddenly it went back to normal (ie. not lumpy). After that the car was fine. I checked out the engine after I parked (with it still on) but I couldn't find anything wrong. Does anyone have any idea? (Note I wasn't boosting hard before it happened. Just normal driving.) It got serviced last week, just an oil change etc... I've done a few hundred km's over the weekend without incident. Apparently the car's done 60,500 but I fear it may be wound back
  7. new pics edit: $6K and I'll include 12months rego
  8. UAS has the R33 service manual for $249
  9. hippy - I too would be interested in where you got your headunit.
  10. most probably the Penrith one.
  11. saw JEF33R today parked in Auburn. Also saw many other Skylines over the weekend...a lot of waves from me...none returned damn rude people, don't deserve to drive such a good car!
  12. yes where do you live? I usually try to wave to all Skylines.
  13. hmmm....better take off the a pillar gauges then...
  14. stock R32 can be had for around $14K stock R33 can be had for around $17K I went with the R32 because it looked better (IMO), and is less common than the R33. I'd prefer an RB25DET but I'm not really complaining, a lightly modified RB20DET will still knock the pants off most cars on the road. A RB30DET will fit (barely) in a R32. Sydneykid has one (I think). If you're a tall bloke the R32 might be a bit squashy for you. I'm 6'1 and 70kgs yet I find my R32 a bit squashy. I'm not sure how I'll trackday with a helmet (I have a sunroof so I have less headroom). The seats are nice and comfy and hold me in tight, if you're large I'd go the R33.
  15. From Jax I got quoted 17x7's with Pirelli P7000's around $1700. I'm sure you can easily talk them down. (Tyres are around $200 a corner)
  16. how do these compare to the big Jap name brand versions? (GReddy, A'PEXi, Blitz, HKS etc...)
  17. if you can get a plug to suit R32 GTS-t I'll take it.
  18. Can I get an estimate price for: GReddy PRofec B-Spec boost controller GReddy remote switching system Also do these prices include shipping / taxes from Japan or are they extra?
  19. pics please (you got my e-mail address)
  20. is the piping included?
  21. does it come with the plug? who's the warranty with? I'll probably take it.
  22. http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp some people have gained 30rwkw with the SAFC tuned. Different cars, different mods, different tuners, different gains. As far as I know it's universal (unlike the PowerFC).
