Oh right! I never new this! Ah I wish I asked on here before I paid stupid amounts of money for those injectors.
-
Dude, you're in the same situation as me!!! I had one leaking injector... then 2... then 3! They all seem to go at the same time. Had fuel stains, very strong fuel smell when you turn off the car, you get comments like "Wow it smells like you've been flogging this thing for hours!" etc etc In my case, replacing the O ring wasn't enough as the injector's were actually cracked from old age, so I forked out nearly $2k for 6 brand new GTR injectors from Nissan. Why? Because I don't have a aftermarket ECU to control the aftermarket ECU's, and I know you can get full sets of bigger fuel injectors for over half that price. And I really don't want to go down the road of aftermarket ECU's yet. But yeah, replace all 6 at the same time, as they all seem to go with each other in a period of 1 - 2 months. Got Boostworx to replace all mine. But prepare to fork out nearly $2k for 6 original brand new injectors or you can get a second hand set for a few hundred, but these are apparently hard to find now as everyone wants to get their hands on it. Or, if you have a aftermarket ECU, then anything goes really. It's a common issues for RB26's - especially the older ones. They just get weak over time.

I've got one built into my alarm but you can't set it for anything under a minute which makes it pointless. The Nissan Skyline manual for a 32 GTR even says "If you've been driving at 100k's an hour for over 30 minutes, when you come to stop, leave your engine running for 30 seconds"

Just Cars only offered you 21k max for your GTR? I'm 21, insured my 94 GTR and Just Cars offered to cover it at $22k - and that's just with twin pod filters and exhaust modifications.

It's very true about that defect letters in the mail. Ages ago I told a new guy on here to cover his numberplate in his pics he posted up - I got flamed for it. Go figure.

Ahaha awesome pic of the GTR decked out with it's party Sombrero hat!! Was awesome to meet you and the others! Glad you had a good time. It was a crazy 3 nights, but that night was the biggest. People were still drinking and chatting outside playing pool at 7:30am on Saturday morning! That Sega Rally machine got a solid workout! Haha Also spotted Jack in his 33, Robbie in his 33 and Ryder in his 32 GTS @ the party.

U-Pull It. They'll take it. Just make sure you make 'good use' of those tyres first.

Bang Noise Now No Boost! R32 Gtr

According to the RB26 manual, 15% different between cylinders is acceptable in a compression test. -
GPS units are removable, though (suction capped) Let's just put suction caps on boost gauges and stick them to the windscreen and have vaccum hoses running down haha

What Is Going On In Adelaide, With No Respect For Your Car ?

Yeah I guess I can't complain about the North... Even though, once I saw a Statesman doing a huuuge skid in a drive through washing bay off main north road. He was actually spinning the wheels while his car was being washed! Haha it was crazy. And a week later a S13 with a Screamer was doing a very nice, smokey skid down Main north road... and he was also holding up traffic as he took up 2 lanes! And this was 4pm in the day!! Crazy stuff up North. The best we get down South is Corolla's on Macca's trays... -
Dior 33? Hahaha that's one woman with an expensive taste!! I'm guessing you're reffering to Christian Dior?
-
Damo I don't think there is such a thing as a good defect experience? Unless your car has some massive engine conversion with a high mount turbo that's so huge and high mounted that you had to cut a hole in your bonnet to make it fit and you have 2 giant NOS tanks sitting in the passenger seat and you look like Vin Diesel... But the cop fails to notice all that and you only get a cop shop defect for bald tyres? Oh but there was that one where the cop came back to the guys house and removed the defect because the cop got the defect wrong (he quoted the wrong ride height).

Lol so true. I was just paying out that old bag in the commercial!! It's Ultratune that I hate! haha

Lol Rhys @ the Pizza Hut car. That's crazy. North is alot worse than the South. There's more stabbings, bashings, graffiti, voilence, etc up North! But Aberfoyle Park is a huge hole. Mate got his rear windscreen smashed by a bunch of guys throwing ball bearings into his 32! -
Can you fix my hair?! Oh... I mean AIR! Fix my AIR! Thanks, Profix. Nearly as good as Ultratune!

+1 to that. I know plenty of Seaford people... both good and bad. Lol yeah +1 to that one. You should have seen her. She even had her kids in the back of her car and she was screaming and swearing at everyone! Then she starts hitting some guy and the police jumped in. Why are these so called 'women' parents?! But that's another thread saved for a rainy day! -
I thought that said 20kw ultrasound!! Hahaha bring on the high mount and 4" exhaust for the scanner!
-
Does he have time to wait and import or does he want one right now? There's a few up on Car Sales, too.

Hahahaha Rocco @ Sinergy is a bit of a character. Sinergy have a good collection of cars. I can't say anything good about Redline after a mate of mine purchased a N/A 93 Supra from there and had nothing but issues. I was speaking to a dude from Redline and he asked "What do you drive?" and I said "94 32 GTR, imported through Iron Chef Imports" and the guy had a blank look on his face and said "R32's stopped production in 1992 and Iron Chef is a TV show, not a Import Yard" After that, I walked out.

Don't get me started on that Christies Beach cop shop! The people who work in there are mindless pricks. They won't help you with anything. Nothing. Yet they let all the stupid Commodores across in the Macca's carpark rip skids and start shit with import drivers! Maybe it's because the cops get discount at that Macca's and don't want to ruin business... But what they are good at is spraying capsicum spay on knife-bearing people in wheelchairs and arresting phsyco, drug-fueled, swearing, man-beating women. If anyone here spent Australia Day @ Christies Beach earlier this year, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. That was a crazy night. -
This is why some people opt out of importing and just cruise on down to their local Import Car Dealer to purchase a car, as they don't want to go through the hassle, or wait a few weeks/months. Importing has alot of catches to it (car can get damaged on the ship, parts can go missing, compliance can go wrong, you're judging the quality by pictures and reports, you can't test drive the car, etc etc etc) It's all risks that the customer takes.

Oh and yeah +1 on the pin dent + paint issue. My "mate" came around the day I took delivery of the GTR. He decided he would throw his large pile of keys up and down over the bonnet of the GTR. He 'missed' them and the keys landed on the bonnet, putting a nice chip in the paint all the way to the bare metal. What a dick. He said it was a 'accident' but he clearly has a jealousy issue. Oh and I have a few minor pin dents on the car. One on the passenger door and another above the wheel arch. Some people have no idea how to park or open their doors. I'm saving up for a Daily! Saving up meaning saving $400 for a banged up Rolla or something haha
