This is a pretty strange issue.
My R32 GTR, under very random occasions (about once every 2 months) when I accelerate and hit boost, I'll have a cloud of white smoke behind me. If I let off the accelerator, obviously it goes away. If I do the same again straight after, there's no smoke what-so-ever and it won't happen for another few weeks or even months.
Now, this has only happened to me twice now but both times it's been raining and very cold outside. It's obviously not the normal condensation in the exhaust, but would it be some sort of condensation somewhere else? I'm only taking a random guess, though. It's not burning oil, and there's no howling sounds from the turbo's or any of the normal symptoms of a turbo on it's way out. When this happens, I don't loose any acceleration either and I don't hear any other weird sounds.
Also, when this happens, the car's been driven for around 5 - 10 minutes so it's hit/close to normal operating temp.
Any ideas?! I've had the 100,000k service + dyno tune. I do have a rubbish exhaust though (loose baffles inside the cat) which is getting replaced soon (sounds like a beer can rattling when I'm drivin) but I doubt this would have anything to do with it.
I'm still running the standard turbo's.
Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers
