That's the problem with Adelaide... we have plenty of venue's, but they're all too scared to play something different, so they stick with what they know is successful - either commercial, RnB, electro or both.
I mean, here's a quick list off the top of my head:
Marble Bar - Electro
Garage - Electro
Swish - House/Electro
EC's - Electro
Duke - Electro
Mojo's - Electro
HQ - Mostly electro (unless it's a Friday night)
58's - Electro (until 4am on Saturday night)
Swish - Commercial trash
Red's - Electro/RnB
Isobar - RnB
Star Bar - RnB
Crib - RnB
Dog n Duck - Electro
Earth - Trance/Prog
P J O'Briens - Commercial trash
Stag - Commercial trash/bit of electro
Austral - Commercial trash/bit of electro
The only venue's that play alternative/'unknown with the cool kids' stuff is:
L!ve, Dragonfly, Sugar, Crown n Sceptre and Apple Bar.
I know there's a few other venue's with other stuff (Electric Light, Enigma, Worldsend, etc), but that rounds up the most popular ones.
It's good to see L!ve taking a risk and putting out nights for the 'real' music lovers, with stuff like dubstep, glitch, hardstyle, psy, etc. We don't need anymore electro in Adelaide!!!!
Brendon always has played a flawless set! Good to see him a resident at the Q these days.
Oh and for all you trance lovers, there was an announcement last night that Ben Gunner is moving Subconcious to HQ... which would mean no more St. Pauls nights
