Will never work. Was tried in Melbourne and just made things worse, so they removed it and put more police on the streets. Go over there and walk the streets at 3am... You'll find at least 6 cops on each street along with heaps of cars on patrol. They also do constant license checks of the venues. Although, those license checks aren't the most reliable way of checking on things as I've seen first hand. Closing places at stupidly early times will simply put more people on the streets. What do they think will happen? The club will close and everyone will be like "Oh! Home time! I can't wait to get home to go to bed!" I don't think so. In saying that, if you keep to yourself, you should be fine. Don't be a drunken idiot on the streets. No wonder Adelaide's nightlife is dying on it's ass along with tigher venue restrictions and making it incredibly hard and expensive to get a liquor license. The business model works well interstate in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane where the crowd loves it but Adelaide is more drift/jap-spec orientated. Autosalon has to remove their image of blinged up cars with 7 LCD's in the firewall and bonnet. An Excel with an air-filter hanging out the front bar is no longer appealing to the kids of SA. I'd love to see a 'where are they now' of the old cars from Autosalon's from a few years back... the Indulge WRX, Hulk WRX, that Wizard air-brushed WRX... Spotted a Silver 34 going along South road near Marion on Saturday... Some ethnic guy driving. Was a huge fail when I saw he put a GTR badge on the boot on the left side half way up. And his Bob Jane special rims. The bigger fail came from my lady passenger who said "That GTR looks better than yours." Glass in the face was an option running through my head at that moment.
