  1. On average, are car batteries meant to last for 5 years?
  2. Hmmm yeah sounds more like a battery issue. If your new battery drains in 60 minutes of driving, it'd be the alternator!! Same thing happened to my mates Leopard. All of a sudden, things started to die, lights didn't work, started doing crazy things. Replaced the battery and bam, all good! An hour later, everything's dead again! Turned out the alternator just wasn't charging the battery.
  3. Alternator issue? Have you replaced the light switch on the dash? I'm serious... mine melted and caused all the electrics to do crazy things. It's a common issue with the 32 GTR's.
  4. Spotted a Yellow Stagea with a Blonde chick driving it this morning on North Tce. Very clean car and a very nice looking chick Spotted a Red 34 GTT going down North tce this morning with P plates and a black bonnet.
  5. IT? I went down that path. Got a IT Traineeship through Kaz Group (now gone under due to Telstra). Got my Cert 4 in IT through that plus a heap of Microsoft certifications and qualifications plus my A+ certificate and a Cisco certification. Through that, got contracted out to other companies and landed jobs everywhere. Automotive mechanics isn't really something that pays high at alll!
  6. Vu, lucky that they didn't ping you for the wobbly seat. I had the same slight play in my drivers seat and I got another defect!
  7. Yeah even Cert 1 in some form of Mechanics would be a good step, too. And the course is pretty cheap!
  8. I always wanted to be a mechanic, too! Well, my good mate got his apprenticeship with Jarvis Toyota by simply taking a Mechanic Cert 1 or similar course at Tafe aaages ago. When he was there, he did a work experience placement and they liked him, so offered an apprenticeship! Otherwise, if you get into Tafe and do a Mechanics course, I heard that mechanics first look in these courses for job candidates? Or, just search the papers? Seek? Even try a job agency? There's plenty of positions around, although, becoming a Diesel mechanic seems all the rage these days, as they're quite sought after.
  9. Spotted a very muddy Stagea going past the exit of the expressway at about 4:15pm tonight near Old Noarlunga. Also spotted a few 33's in Victor Harbor today. And a 32 parked in Shell in Victor Harbor.
  10. Good to see that things are changing from the old image the club had.
  11. Haha Dan, I know. I know. If my bank would allow it, I'd have a Chaser and the GTR!
  12. Haha same!! As much as I love the GTR... Chasers seem all the rage these days!!
  13. So many lines up for grabs these days! Infact, even I'm barely keeping hold of the GTR. Still up in the air about if I'll sell it, or keep it... If my $ improves, then I'll keep it for another year!
  14. I thought you said... YABBIES!!
  15. Lol. Well it's no secret that plenty of cops own modified cars... there's a cop down my street who owns a WRX with a giant canon, BOV, front mount... basically the usual mods for a Rex.
  16. Lol. Wow... 900 pages in the Wasteland!! Good effort.
  17. If Yahoo Japan was working for me, I'd show you some examples of clean 32 GTR V-Spec 2's!!
  18. It's dangerous when it gets this bad...
  19. Saphire, you never cease to amaze me on how long all of your posts are!! You always write things in extreme detail! Lol. Keep it up! Just wanted to compliment it
  20. Book your flights and transport!!
  21. Guy digs a pit in his backyard... and finds skeleton remains of bodies!! http://www.mr2.com/forums/tool-box/Toyota-...garage-pit.html Crazy shit.
  22. Rhys, with your injectors, did you just replace the O ring? The actual injector might be split (happened with mine)
  23. Pete, a few pages back, I managed to find a heap of 32 GTR's (not V-spec's) but they had genuine 30,000k's and stuff like that on them... basically garaged for years! They were going for about 25-30k. It wouldn't be hard to find a mint condition one! There's still plenty left in Japan. You just need to fork out a bit for them.
  24. Pete's going to do the Aussie Dream and tour Australia in a caravan! And collect fridge magnets from each location! And then buy a cowboy hat and attach badges to it from all the locations! Woooo! Lol.
  25. Nothing else, no. Unless you have a high mount turbo sticking out the bonnet....
