that was me! That was the last day that GTR was actually drivable until the clutch slave cylinder said "Goodbye cruel world" and leaked clutch fluid everywhere.

It'd be hard finding much at the moment due to most suppliers being shut down for the xmas period, but yeah if Nissan is a no go (expect to pay $350+ for a single brand new injector) then try Nisswreck!

Sorry I couldn't make it out, the slave cylinder gave up on the GTR which means I have no clutch lol. Glad to hear you had no cop trouble... they're doing a huge blitz at the moment. There's massive amount of cops on the streets these nights!! I'll be out on the BSM cruise for sure, though!

Turbo MUST be standard. Why don't people understand this?!?! They CHECK the housing numbers, etc on the turbo. Chuck on the STOCK turbo unless you want to go through Regency again. They affect emissions. You cannot get away with putting in a different turbo in Regency. You can grind off the housing numbers, put a beanie on the turbo, etc but it won't get past the inspection!!!! I told this to the dude who owned the 32 GTR who got done, he ended up leaving his N1's in and they found it. Had to go through again. Make sure your turbo is the stock model. Steel wheel is fine, high flow should be fine as they can't check inside the turbo. Preiss, most 34's, if not all, came out stock with Xenons hence why you passed.

Oil breathers on the rocker cover are NOT defectable. They pass through Regency fine. I had one on the Familia and got through Regency without a hitch.

Lol Ruby! Sounds like the time I was driving down to Boostworx. I was going along Goodwood Road when a cop on a bike pulled up behind me out of no where. He then basically tailgated me down Goodwood road, then turned off with me down Boothby street. I did everything right (indicated, etc). Anyway, he's still right up my ass, so instead of pulling over to park out the front of Boostworx to drop off the car, I just drove into the workshop lol and parked it inside. The cop on the bike then drove up the driveway a little bit, but then stopped and turned his bike around when Shaun and Troy walked outside lol. Then the cop just drove off slowly, just looking at us. Then, once the cop left, I just reversed the car and parked it in the street. Daniel 1, Cop 0.

Yeah +1 to the comments on this page. Why did we even bother making an effort to e-mail that cop anyway? And this must be a real slap in the face to the members on here who actually supported him! I've been close to a defect... even though my car is pretty stock. I was just lucky a young girl cop pulled me over, and she was alone and actually had no idea to what to look for. So she just did a rego check on me, and let me off. I'd like to see what she could actually defect me for, though! But yeah, we all drive Skylines, and one day we'll all get defected at least once - legit or not. It's just what the Skyline name carries with it!
