  1. As long as the car can start, hold an idle, doesn't pump out smoke, then yes, you can. I passed last year in a Familia and that was running and idling like shit and they didn't say anything... as long as it doesn't backfire or stall... and it has to hold up on the 4000rpm rev + handbrake test! Goodluck!! Edit: Wait... Regency inspection at 6:30pm?!
  2. In Victoria, they're not allowed to have both a exposed pod and a fmic... only one or the other. It's such crap, cause that's not even a ADR!
  3. Spotted Howie's 34 (pretty sure) in Boostworx today. Also spotted a grey 33 4 door being dropped off. I was there picking up the GTR after it's service + new brakes! Wow... these new brakes are actually amazing lol. I put the pedal down slightly and I nearly go through the windscreen! (that was a slight over-exaggeration)
  4. A high mounted stock turbo? Meaning, high mounting a regular, stock turbo, on say, a RB20?!
  5. Interesting read: http://blog.thescream.org/2008/08/sapol-unrandom-checks.html A exotic car being pulled over... and defected!
  6. FYI here's the media release from SAPOL: From: http://www.sapolice.sa.gov.au/utils/html_v...amp;str=skyline
  7. Lol retreads! My mate bought 4 of them for his Colt for like $20 each!
  8. Look what this has become! Now he is basically targeting us!! And even recommending the owners to SAU! That's bad luck, Crack_1. It's becoming real bullshit. The guy has it out for any Skyline owners and has no discretion what-so-ever. But at the same time, I guess it is a legit defect. Our defect laws are a bit different to Victoria (assuming that's where you're originally from). But yes, welcome to SAU and the community!
  9. Can't wait for this!
  10. Looks good on the Caucasian skin
  11. Lol Damo, you beat me to it!
  12. Can't find any other information, though... I only just Google'd that! Edit: Wheels 2008 Tyre Test is here: http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/wheels/site/ar...A25745000255724 if that's any use to anyone? Edit #2: Here's the results of the Motor 2008 Tyres Test: http://www.ozmazdaclub.com/forum/members-l...-test-08-a.html
  13. Here's a double fail for today: Fail #1: There's a young guy working on the labs here at SA Water in our new building. He's fitting in the air conditioning. His boss walks out, so what does he do? Flops out his phone and starts taking MySpace-style pictures of himself! Fail #2: The same guy walks out past my desk, and then his phone starts ringing... whats the ring tone? That stupid Soljah Boy song! DOUBLE FAIL! Edit: I fail for posting 3 times in a row...
  14. I'll also be interested in this, too! I've heard Adelaide Tyre Power (Jack Baker) are the cheapest in Adelaide?
  15. Woo! You're a legend mate. I was just using some stupid Image Resizing program to 'squash' the pic lol. I'll change my Avatar now! Edit: Much better! Thanks again!
  16. Madaz, I'll check now!
  17. You should compare Splitfires to brand new OEM items, straight from Nissan You'd get a better spark if you're replacing your current coils, which could be 5+ or even 10+ years old...
  18. Splitfires don't give you a performance increase... they're just a replacement if one of your coils has failed. In the end, OEM coils straight from Nissan are the best you can buy, but expect to pay mega $$$ hence why people buy Splitfires. But yes, some people do replace perfectly good coils with Splitfires thinking it'll give them a KW increase...
  19. As that guy on here from Sydney said: Now they're finding even P platers driving Subaru RX's are wrapping themselves around trees. Once this law comes in, be prepared to see alot more FWD Corolla drivers being classed as 'hoons'.
  20. Ya high mounts are illegal... just like low-mount non-stock turbo's are. It affects emissions. But if it's a drag car... who cares? I don't know any that are getting around Adelaide... but there's plenty of them interstate! No one bothers here due to no drag strip and most high mount setups are simply too laggy for the street (eg. T04z's) unless you don't mind having the turbo hit boost at 5000rpm.
  21. Someone once told me gear oil smelt the same as clutch fluid! Master or slave cylinders not leaking or anything? Yeah A/C's can let off weird smells sometimes, too.
  22. Lol sounds like you've got alot of stories! PM you for why you're getting a respray... PM you for why that guy owns the GTR... etc Spotted a Silver R34 with Black bonnet, plates RPM-340, this morning going along a street near my place down in the dirty South. So refreshing to see another Skyline in my area! Car looked great! I was in the little green Corolla being driven by my mum
  23. Just got told that by a fellow employee, Pete! It's crazy!
  24. Lol sorry, I was reading what you posted, really quickly and it looked like: :laughing-smiley-014:
