  1. Straight from a horse's mouth (or taking a page from SST Steve)... Rocco didn't get the time to change the injectors on the R32 - it still had the standard ones in it. It's got some huge Turbonetics turbo on it, and should be running better at the next meeting.
  2. Yeah they are work equips, I have a set on my white GTS-t atm. Nice rim
  3. Tops.
  4. Fact: Lighter cars go faster Fact: I'd rather strip my car than go on a diet Result: Slow car that is stripped, but chunky driver
  5. Schtandard, pretty much put standard engine/turbos/ECU etc in it now. But if you wanted twin 2835R's or so I'm sure can work something out Yeah has N/A brakes on it atm for 15inch rim goodness. Other available brakes are GTS-t, AP 6 pot, Brembo 8 pot etc. Car does not have the engine/turbo/exhaust/intercooler that it was running at Brett's drag day.
  6. The rims are Riga Master's, model is Evo. Top rim, lightweight and not common in Aus.
  7. Oh and these are a limited edition version of the Sport-(JJ/JC/DC) style seats.
  8. Selling a set of front seats, rear seat and rails to bolt directly in to an R33. Seats are Recaro Raptor (have air pumps for lumbar support), rear was retrimmed by Recaro in the same material. No stains, tears or marks. Cost me over $3500, selling $3,000 ono.
  9. Selling my other car as well, this one I've only started to modify. Completely dead standard car, bought privately in Japan and complied August last year. Genuine 79,000k's on speedo, car was an N/A 25 and has no accident damage. Has full 4WD system exactly the same as a GT-R. Currently is set up for an RB26, with BCNR33 wiring loom and chipped ECU. Standard RB26 motor and HKS full dual exhaust (from dump pipes to tail pipes), R32 GT-R gearbox and OS Giken twin plate clutch. Asking $22,000 ono on the car as-is. Have a ton of aftermarket parts from turbos, interior, suspension etc. that can be fitted and sold with the car - choice is up to the buyer.
  10. Car must be sold by end of the month, so price is negotiable.
  11. So you would like the old rules back? What about the weight breaks?
  12. I think that the current arrangement is a bit odd. For starters you already have a dedicated ET bracket - why change the whole field to DYO? The ET brackets are pretty free with regards to rules, since it's so open anyone is free to jump across if they are consistent enough. The weight breaks for SportRWD are kinda ok - I doubt that many 4WD cars will get to the minium weight due to the restrictions on fibreglass parts. GTS-t's will be slightly over the minimum unless they strip a bit - is this acceptable? With 4WD vs 2WD I think it's acceptable competing together. 2WD will be automatically lighter with less rolling resistance, admittedly it will take some time to tune the suspension for the tyres but isn't that a given? There are street tyre'd Supras running alot quicker than the fastest street tyred 4WD's Australia has to offer, and that's with the Aus cars weighing in less. Especially the fact a 2WD car will be significantly cheaper to run (and build) to be competitive, having a weight penalty against 4WDs would be a disappointment.
  13. Hi guys, With the DYO changes and the infancy of the class there's been alot of talk to change the rules again, with input from various communities. I'm sure alot of people on these forums are interested in competing in the Sport Compact class - but what changes to the rules would you like to see? Hopefully we can present a clear opinion to Jason O'Halloran (and in a diplomatic way) and try to get the class more appealing to the masses. What class appeals to you? What changes would you like to see? What car would you compete in? How do you like to go racing? Try to keep this as an open, positive forum. Please try to use factual data - no chinese whispers or derogatory insults. If we can get enough support on this forum then the Supra guys might be interested in petitioning as well.
  14. Only going to reply once to that, will start a new thread re:ANDRA rules to continue on the saga. Nice backflip on your previous comments: If you felt compelled to post something like that, why would you support it by competing? Surely you have a bit more backbone that that? But this is a class that Jason O'Hallaran has even said was changed due to input from community members. He mentioned he spoke to you in depth about it.. so you represent the SAU community? People like 600hp, T88OnBoard, NV033, Bu5ter, MrBlonde, Judd, Theo etc. are all spending big dollars on cars to go fast - why would they want a DYO class when they are aiming to be the quickest? The amount of power and lack of traction would prove to be a very poor choice of bracket wacker, even more so with a manual transmission. Not a very smart choice, hey? I've stopped work on building a car until the rules settle down to something a bit more acceptable. I'm not willing to build a PRO class car - that's a money pit and a half even with some serious sponsorship. Until a time comes up where there is a heads up, street registered class I won't give it a second thought. As for giving examples on cars built up towards the current rules, hell not even two hours ago you came out with: Obviously to post that you would have some idea as to what you are talking about, I seriously doubt you would post something you had no idea about? Oh, and please help me understand your concept of bench racing. With my elderly fading memory I can't quite remember posting anything about how quick I am going to run, hell even details of what I am going to run. Edit: Left out a couple of things: 1) This event was touted as being the first official Sport Compact event. Wow, 1 whole event. Alot of people didn't show up since it was moved to a different date - does this mean they have no concept of the class since they have never made an official event ever? 2) There's a difference between having a car that meets requirements, and building a car up to meet the rules. Not everyone is content with running a stocker that will pass into any class, be it S/S, S/C or some specialty DYO bracket. Hell a near standard car would pass into the PRO rwd class, with the small fields you'd probably make it into the semi's... wow imagine if you got into the finals cause you pulled out a bye run?
  15. It's DYO, who gives a shit in the end cause it doesn't matter what time you run. Only how consistent. Give some examples of people who have built up a car to compete in these Sport Compact DYO brackets?
  16. Yeah I had Brett for the night, must have been good he even got me breakfast!
  17. Half tank of fuel : $20 Pizza at Lucky's: $15 Bu5ter yelling at Shan while he had a nap on the side of the road: Priceless If only we had a digi cam! The first time I "met" Brett he was threatening to smack me one, and I thought there is no way this mountain man is getting within 5 km of me.. hehe. Scary much!
  18. With the HKS cross-over and non cross-over's, neither of them would require extrude-honing. Maybe slight port matching, but the ports are pretty well spot on. /shameless plug- Both for sale, non x-over are new.
  19. Have 290 + 280 sets, in 11.5mm lift. Also a 280 set 10.2mm lift. And 260 10.25mm cams. How large lifft/duration did you need?
  20. Hey I had that problem, but I was too lazy to get another battery. Thanks for the tip Troy!
  21. Yeah, I'm not sure if I should run the Mitsu L300 in the all motor class, or the Ford Transit in the forced induction one. Ahh such decisions, better check that it's going to pass scrutineering.
  22. /cough Trust and OS seq boxes for sale! Hey maybe I should set up a donut + gearbox stall there, at least I know Brett will support the donut bit.
  23. Stock or aftermarket?
