  1. While Mario Jr. wasn't looking I sneaked a picture of inside the plenum...
  2. Mahle are pretty good pistons, as long as you get the clearances to the spec sheet provided everything will be fine. CP's are very fine pistons, they require little clearances (much less than Arias or Venolia). Due to the low expansion/clearances required, if they were put in a motor and spec'd to "normal" forged pistons you'll have excessive gaps, and probably get a bit of piston slap.. as well as blow by and wear. I'd be pretty concerned/annoyed if I was the owner of that CA18.
  3. So does Bu5ter.
  4. They lost power with the plenum! The mere possession of it cut 100kw out, when it's installed they will lose another 50 and be back to stock!
  5. Rice factor! Hollys with seq shifter were $22K, regular H pattern was $18K. OS is a bit cheaper, or was when it was purchased. A few more reasons, but that was the main one. Oh and did I mention the 5 OS Gherkin shirts we got with it? And the stickers... oh what a bargain! Pity I'm too fat to fit in any of the shirts, damn weedy Japs
  6. The OS boxes aren't Hollys, we have one sitting here in a crate. HKS used to resell Hollys but came up with their own (similar) box that they sell.
  7. http://www.otomoto.com.au/nissangtr.htm
  8. And that bodykit you got from mainland China was made out of Bamboo, and weighs in at a hefty 110kg too! Not to mention the 5mm thick exhaust, and then the 75mm thick intercooler. hahahah
  9. Unless he goes on a diet I don't think he's going to break the mid 11's. No mo' donuts for you Mr. Pitcrewchief.
  10. Kick in the nuts coming your way sir, compliments of the house. Will deliver said kick at Spastic Attak
  11. Hah and you can always compare my T51R dyno graph, that car ripped the heads off many a rice pudding.
  12. It's not so much if the gears are straight cut or helical, true helical are quieter but they both use direct dog teeth to engage the gears. There's no buffer zone, and with a seq you can't exactly rev match on the downchange - which is one of the big destroyers of dog teeth.
  13. Not so much impossible as unrealistic or impractical, or poor return for money invested. You know it would be easier to bolt on a larger turbo and make 450kw+ instead of the plenum, and the gearbox you are talking about is a dog box that requires alot of maintenance (5,000k pulldowns). But then again anything is do-able...
  14. You can still get the HKS ones for R32 new, best bet would be to get an ETC + a drag controller. Works tops (and is the only 1 I have experience with). I'm sure there are some others out there...
  15. I think it's a case of 360awkw car, 200awkw driver Grats on the timecard, now buy my trust boxes!
  16. Selling two Trust 6 speeds, both straightcut H pattern dogboxes. First one is freshly rebuilt with new parts, crack tested, cryo'd and coated. Billet selector forks and billet center plate. Has R32 (push clutch) bellhousing. $8500 Second one is in pieces, have got new replacement gears for the ones that looked suspect. Can be assembled in an R32 or R33(pull type) case. Just regular parts used, nothing other that the Trust (and Nissan) pieces. $5500 unassembled or $6200 in case of your choice. If you're a serious racer who anticipates breaking everything in their driveline multiple times buy both - for $10,000. Or go halves with a mate and draw straws on the built one. Hell it's $4300 for a comparable OS gearset (www.otomoto.com.au) , and you still need to upgrade to R33 specs to boot. Have other parts spare that will throw in as well. Have got 2 clutches to go with them as well, an R4C and R3C. $1200 for the R3C and $1500 on the R4C. Only selling the clutches with the boxes.
  17. The HKS manifolds come blended, about the only thing you might need to grind is port matching... but they are already generously sized, similar to the exhaust gaskets. But please sir no more talk of touching as Micheal Jackson is lurking in the thread somewhere.
  18. Well if Mr Hogan does manage to blow his gasket, his ol' buddy is back from the grave..... ladies and gents, the second round will introduce........ Andre the T51R Giant!
  19. The Hulkster will own you all!
  20. Selling a used Trust intercooler, suit R32/33/34. Has twin entry and single 100mm exit. Core is 600x294x149mm, will fit (just) behind standard bars (inc R33 GTS-t!) No damage to fins, tanks or mounts, selling as parting out a car. Asking $2000. Currently on an R33 GTS-t.
  21. The Phoenix runs are on a 4WD chassis dyno. But anyway, how can you possibly lay claim to the world champ 2530 title without a fight? However, you'll get your chance at WSID on April 9 when a special guest is flying in to defend his world title..... Ladies unt Gentlemen, I give you (drumroll) Hulk "2530" Hogan, reigning world champion!
