  1. Will it fit on an Izusu 3 liter diesel? If so I might be interested.
  2. Long term = completes a track session Standard internals = un-opened motor
  3. Selling a spare motor, had spun a bearing but otherwise in perfect condition. Bores are not scored, have original pistons in the block still - crank was taken out to check for damage, number 1 journal is eroded from the spun bearing. . Just block, girdle, pistons + rods - no other parts or accessories. Can include crank if you want/need it, otherwise will bin it. $1000
  4. GT-RS turbos would be good for up to 500+kw at all 4 wheels. I think the main problem with getting that figure would be the rear housings causing a restriction, the .86 would be a better option. At any rate, as long as the owners are happy, does it really matter?
  5. How long did you leave it to bake in the oven while you got a replacement? Yeah have got some new cams in, but not talking to you until you get your car back on the road (or know what you want to do)!
  6. I have seen and laughed at a few stories where cams have been snapped while being installed, where they have not been torqued down in sequence, but put in front- to- back. The pressure on the lobes on the cam would appear to have sufficient force to snap it, I wouldn't doubt it could "merely" bend them instead.
  7. I'd be wary of buying any kit without knowing definites on what precisely you are buying. Manifold can vary things quite dramatically, by as much as 1500rpm+ later spoolup and poor response. Turbo, you want to know exactly what comp + turbine you are getting - there are so many different combinations on "3040" not all of them are going to work at their optimum on your project. Cheapest option for 300rwkw is to get DJLethal's 25G setup, not many setups will hold a candle to that. Guaranteed easy 11's once you sort out your traction issues...
  8. Two years on and Roy is still debating what turbo to bolt on!
  9. Go the GCG high-flow!
  10. So what's the latest on the car John?
  11. Hahaha Brett was the moral crusader and didn't want a part of it, the time came from Merli saying you ran it (it was the celica before you?). In my defence I'll say I had burnout and launch envy, the launch on the second run was pretty solid - you could hear the tyres rip!
  12. I didn't end up going. The event was cancelled, no-body went.
  13. Are these genuine HKS ones or those "Stone Mountain" or whatever copies that have been springing up?
  14. Battle of the Whales! Hopefully should be some mid 11 second runs, with the runner-up hosting a night at the casino! Four doors weigh more!
  15. Hahaha show me a workshop that doesn't do that!
  16. A couple of useless things on Jap stroker kits 1) they all use the standard length rod 2) the difference in the "cheap" low horsepower kit vs the "expensive" high power kit is mainly the pin size(21mm std vs 22mm "SPL"). 3) Merli's running big block chev pistons in his new motor to give him a displacement of 8 liters. Fact or fiction?
  17. But you didn't have it in point form!
  18. 1) It's the crank which determines the stroke of the engine. 2) The piston determines the bore size 3) A standard crank has 73.77mm of stroke 4) Running a piston designed for a stroker crank will leave you with a very very low compression ratio as the stroker pistons have a short pin to crown height to accomodate the additional stroke on the crank.
  19. Woa that's an utter bargain, you'd be hard pressed to buy just the crank for that price! But otherwise, what Amaru said!
  20. Check your PM..S!
  21. I've got a standard set, will PM you.
  22. What time does it finish? Won't be getting outta work until 1pm-ish.
  23. Hi guys, Been itching to get out and try the changes I've done on my car, anyone else up for another round of freezing your ass off with bad food and long queues? Link is here!
  24. God praise the anonimity of the internet!
  25. 8.xx, there's a (probably incorrect) chart on the Tomei site that's been pasted into Joel's RB30 pdf guide.
