  1. Yeah but you don't care if your mighty workhorse RB20 ends up scattered over the track either. For the price of a baffled sump you could buy 3 RB20s!
  2. Put me down if you're getting additional karts.... for sure!
  3. There's a guy in QLD that has run 10's with a set of AX53B60's + nitrous. I think it was 10.8?
  4. I can tell you Merli... you need to have oil in the motor. Some people chose not to and caused damage.
  5. Yeah, Andrew's rims are the shockers. I can't comment on yours Troy cause Steve's got them too... although now they are the RVR rims. Go the Spastic Van! Might look different on the car though, have to wait and see. If I'm bored I'll put them on my car
  6. Pics of the comp + turbine blades? I dunno, any turbo that uses a piece of steel mesh as an air filter scares me.
  7. I just had to pick up an exhaust system from the post office, a "trainee" accepted it for delivery then the postmaster there had a hissy fit and handed it back. At first they said anything with a dimension larger than 150cm is too big, then he said 100cm.... Need to find a courier asap... if all else fails I'll TNT the sucker.
  8. p.s. Scott's transport told me they don't do small or personal items.
  9. You'll keep son, you'll keep.... Still doesn't change the fact that your rims are horrid. Ever wonder why no-one out here has them?
  10. Heh you assume it's connected!
  11. It's bad that the turbo manufacturers and distributors don't have a standard naming scheme, they are all over the place. Some name them after the inducer size on compressor, some on exducer size, some by the family (which have a million variations), some by horsepower ratings etc etc. The one on my white car has an 82mm comp 50 trim front, 60mm 84 trim rear. GCG normally use the 82mm 56 tirim comp, 60mm 84 trim rear. The only real way to know is to measure it yourself - invoices can be wrong, wheels can be different to the i.d. tag on the catridge.. and salespeople are full of shit.
  12. Yeah, true.... I have large rim envy cause I can't afford to buy them (or the tyres!) But never-the-less, I am scared of Duncan now... very scared.
  13. Do you know which comp + turbine wheels it has in it? By 3040, runs a GT30 turbine wheel (60mm 84 trim) and a GT40 comp wheel (can be a whole bunch of them). The GT40 comp wheels are good for over 500hp, but that small exh housing will restrict it to about 400hp or under.
  14. The resolution with 2 Q45's will be pretty poor, you won't be able to fine tune it as the steps are pretty large. Having said that, you could tune it well for extremely high power levels.... like 700kw at the wheels.
  15. So rims are the new penis compensation? I fear the guys running 10 inch steel rims....
  16. What sort of slicks, semi slicks, drag radials or drag cross-plys can you get for 20inch rims? Apart from being able to run massive brakes that would have the power to rip your face off, I don't get it if the tyres can't keep up with the brakes? Did you change the ring and pinion to compensate for the larger rolling diameter? I know you've posted about being relatively fast around a track and at the drags - have the larger rims changed the suspension settings much? Yeah I'm stupid and don't get alot of things ><
  17. Hey man you could be correct, but with the AFM @ 5100mv sounds like you have the polarity reversed or something? The BDE thing was what I had in a file, nothing else specified.
  18. On the AFM it has B D E above each of the three terminals.
  19. Ignition - B, ORANGE/WHITE Signal - D , BLACK/WHITE Ground - E, BLACK WIRE Found my notes on the Q45. Did you check the voltages on the hand controller to see if the death star was fully operational?
  20. Oh? But what about the motor Keir Wilson is running... the Over Sized Race Breed? Pretty schmick motor bro...
  21. 1) Alloy block. 2) Rocker arms 3) Chain driven cams/distributor Why would people try to get insane power out of an RB20 when it's too easy to just throw in an RB26? I've read an article on a twin turbo RB20 (2.4) that does high 9's in an R32, but it's expensive to prove a point with an R20 (compared to an RB30 or 26).
  22. The CHRA are the same, it's the housings/flanges that are different between the RB26/RB25/SR20 applications in the 25xx + GT-SS/RS range.
  23. Yeah but look what happened to that motor. Q45 teh shit!
  24. Oh man, where oh where did that thread go. Will call you later today.
  25. Yeshsiree! But I don't know why they use an 800+hp turbo to get 650PS?
