  1. But what if I run slower than 11.6? How can I live with the shame?
  2. Hrm, after spending last night and tonight playing with my car I think it might actually be tuned in time for DC. Think they are still accepting race entries?
  3. Without having seen one of these, I would say winding it in would increase pressure, as you are effectively increasing the pressure of the spring used to control the fuel flow.
  4. No aftermarket cams? Or headgasket?
  5. They look like well made manifolds, would be a shame to cut them up. What if you got a flange and bolted it in as a spacer plate between the head and the manifolds? How much clearance do you have?
  6. If it's the T66 wheel (66mm) then it's pretty damn good - the comp map for that blade is awesome. Should be good for at least 700hp. But to flow that much you're going to need the rest of the support systems, and spec the turbine end not to be too restrictive.
  7. I can't afford a GT-R. I can only watch on with envy as those lucky enough to afford one post here. /sulks in a corner.
  8. Hahaha go go hillbilly!
  9. Scat have been around for ages doing pretty good work, they primarily do circle track parts which is constant high rpm levels, and alot of the classes require lightweight stuff to really accelerate hard out of the turns. I was checking out one of their lightweight big block chev cranks yesterday, was an absolute work of art. I liked it that much I actually made a serious enquiry about the price ($2500 2nd hand)... but wtf am I going to do with it? Eagle is a relatively new company with products aimed at the budget end of the spectrum - although in saying this most applications would be well within their limitations. It's harder to be an innovator of products, rather than mass producing a copy of others. Edit: Although I find it hard not to giggle a bit everytime someone mentions "scat"
  10. Scat rods > Eagle. Any day of the week.
  11. Heh maybe you should set up a 0055 number.... for a good tune /husky_voice "Call me nowwwww"...
  12. Damn that car must be making some serious powah. What sort of box do you use to keep all this mumbo together?
  13. I've got an R34 GT-R intercooler here, and the same model that Tony's selling. Both fit on the same car using the same mounts, the Greddy one uses the center bolt where the hood latch is rather than the two side "prongs" on the tops of either side. There's a (covered) hole on the outlet for the temp sensor too... although there's no clear shot of the back side of the cooler here, it might not have the temp mount!
  14. 2004 Porsche 911 GT2: 12.0 @ 120mph 2003 Enzo Ferrari: 11.1 @ 133 mph http://www.fast-autos.net is your friend
  15. First night out - Zeu5 vs Bu5ter. Let's roll back the clock a bit and you can put $5k on the GT-R with an exhaust, high flowed turbos, etc etc, and then I'll go spend it on beer and hookers.
  16. Don't feel bad about it, $15K can't even get you a Hollinger or OS88 box
  17. Hah the old intercooler arguement again!
  18. Merli just fitted one this size to his R33 - he claims he didn't need to trim the front bar at all.
  19. I've got a brand new one that I'm not going to use. $850 and it's yours.
  20. Sorry Troy, going to have to call buullshit on this one... your turbo setup cost more than that amount by itself!
  21. Haha I'm with Merli... and my "car" isn't even on the road yet... it's still in Japan!
  22. GT42 can use TA45 -> 51 wheels on it, but the TA45 is a bush bearing turbo (an OEM truck turbo, how's that for another example of old wheels in a new ball bearing housing?). There's a massive majority of quick VL's using bush turbos - at that level who wants to fork out another 2K to upgrade to ball bearing when that would take care of your complete rear end/computer/some-other-expensive-part?
  23. Wiseco's are cheap forged pistons, but you do get what you pay for. RB30 pistons will stick out of the block by about 2 mm. I think the cheapest price-wise are Wiseco + Arias, but just to state it again...you get what you pay for.
  24. All the area under the curve heheh or not!
  25. If the flow of the cat is the bottleneck in the exhaust system, and the 3.5 inch cat flows more than a 3 inch, you might find that it's still going to be the bottleneck in the exhaust. I don't think it's that bad of an idea to use the 3.5 inch cat in a 3 inch exhaust.. .as long as ground clearance isn't an issue?
