  1. I sold it a week or two ago Sorry can't help... it was sitting around for 7 months and now have had a bunch of people after one in the last week!
  2. It'll fit an r34 as well, they use the same mount brackets, pipe locations etc.
  3. The correct email address is: strappap@yahoo.com.au
  4. Or you could split the classes into: Peasant RWD (Street RWD) VL RWD (Pro RWD) IT worker 4WD (Street 4WD) Millionaire 4WD (Pro 4WD)
  5. What were these "modifications" that turbonetics did to the turbo?
  6. The Sport RWD class is inappropriately named as it allows 4WD cars as well. I think it's a case of directly copying the rules from the NHRA, then realising it left GT-R, WRX etc. owners out in the cold and just tacking on the "4WD allowed" bit into the class. Of course, I could be jumping to conclusions here, I tend to think that 4WD is more of a hindrance than a benefit under 10 second times, and as such could compete with 2WD cars. If you want to argue about traction, check out Adrian's street car 60 foot time.
  7. Is the UAS a 4wd dyn-ho? That 02 sensor could be a bit of a problem, might have to bring some amyl.
  8. Standard pipes will work - they are 80mm diameter.
  9. Theoretically a car equipt with GT-RS's should be able to do a 9 second pass. But having said that I don't know of any low mount setups that do better than mid 10s - low mount as being defined by a turbo mounted lower than the exhaust ports on the head and having an internal wastegate setup. I know you can get off the shelf low mount manifolds for the Greddy TD0x/T67 series but they need a wastegate or two.
  10. Heh think they would let me run my bike? Schwinn 10 speed btw
  11. The M3 engines are a work of art, the CNC porting job is absolutely stunning - you can cut your finger on the edges it's that sharp. The rods are pretty good, although they aren't that reusable, they are compacted metal? (forget the actual term used) and the rod caps are actually broken off after the rods are machined. For a factory engine it's a marvel!
  12. I'm incognito. It's amazing what Habib and the boys did down at the panel shop.
  13. Well, since you asked for it, I did manage to run a sub 10 recently with the new turbo and suspension setup in my Skyline. Really hooks up well now, the fronts are off the ground!
  14. It's not diminishing the fact you ran a particular time once, it's not the fact that Harun's car didn't run an 11 second pass. This post shows the development, modifications and results of a few different (and major) changes on one particular vehicle. Granted they would have been expensive, and sharing the knowledge will probably help a few people decide what works and what doesn't - as well as saving resources in repeating the same decisions. With the somewhat repeatable performance of the engine modifications done to this RB25 it could have been used for drifting, dragging or circuit work. Or could just be shown around so people can gawk in awe at a massive turbo.. there's gotta be something said for show cars 'cause I think the Autosalon boys are raking the cash in. Don't think they would be so successful if there wasn't a market for it?
  15. It's very rare that a person will tell a bit of build up history about their car, especially the case that extends over a couple of major changes. Thanks for the info Harun, but as Brett pointed out there's alot more to doing a good time than a big turbo Oh, and not meaning to burst that big bubble of your's Adrian, but nitrous is a different ballgame
  16. It has alot of torque due to the fact it was run in 3rd gear, not 4th. Time to pull those damn skins off rice puddings!
  17. All the Bee*R demo cars are up for sale too at similar amounts... their 8.8 second R33, and two track R32's. At least those cars are proven performers - that car hasn't actually done any passes and could be all show...
  18. There are 2 different compressor housings for the 25G series, it seems that Greddy followed HKS's lead and started getting their compressor housings cast with their branding and Japlish on them. Personally I think the plain old style is better - works a treat when polished! I think they started doing this around 2002?
  19. You don't have the option to try different turbine housings to adjust the boost curve with the HKS units. Both are rebuildable so it's not an advantage either way. There are more options with compressor as well with the Greddy T88 series. The T88's also weight alot more and are physically larger than the HKS units. Is the Kai a ball bearing one?
  20. Nice rims on the convertible.
  21. Heh maybe you should ask Judd about it
  22. Uhm what motor/ exhaust manifold are you talking about? If it's an RB26 or SR20 with a GT25 flange you can get a million ball bearing units... GT25R: 471171-0003 26lbs/min GT28R: 466541-0001 35lbs/min GT28RS aka Disco Potato: 739548-1 37lbs/min And those are standard Garrett catalogue numbers. There's a ton more ... try researching it yourself maybe?
  23. Go the Yahoo auctions.
  24. I dunno Evan, some of the tight lsd's are pretty good - they lock up as soon as there is any acceleration and variation between the two wheels. Way around it is to roll around corners and round-abouts - any use of the accelerator around tight corners gets the wheels hopping.
