  1. So, if large frame turbocharger development came from diesel motors, why do people persist on putting them on performance petrol cars? Hell, I think that the majority of turbocharger design came from truck or heavy industrial motors. The TA45 is a good example, it's a truck turbo. But TRY-09S seems to be doin' ok from it. Greddy turbos, as SKid has pointedly referred to, are a Mitsubisi Heavy Industry product found on commercial vehicles. CFM is CFM, and if it can work (and work well) in an application that it wasn't specifically designed for then what's the problem?
  2. That manifold in the pics is almost identical to the HKS RB20/25 manifolds. Same as the RB26 T51R manifolds. I guess if it's good enough for HKS..... Free bumpage.
  3. Hi, I had forgotten you had called me last week regarding these. I've got a few of the alloy mounts, but no rubber bits. Not sure if you need the alloy mounts? Have got some GTS-T (RB25) ones, but they are round. Let me know if you need either of them. Sorry about the delay, been flat out with work and things are slipping my mind a bit. Chris
  4. Having a look at the pic, and noticing your arrow, it's obvious that it goes to the front diff to cool it down. It's running a very special diff, with very special water cooling. Seriously, that cooling system is pretty trick. Not sure if it helps cooling much... is that on an R32? That lower red hose could go to anywhere under the manifold, really can't tell. Maybe to the fitting on the block near the lower radiator hose?
  5. It's just a steam tank, can either connect up to the regular overflow tank or vent to atmo.
  6. Heh sorry Blitz, I meant "DLuded". If he's applied to get his R32 in under the 15 y.o. rule he's going to be waiting until October till he gets approval.
  7. Aww man someone parked their Skyline in their kitchen?
  8. You can check out the sizes of Dunlops at http://www.garysmotorsporttyres.com.au/str...legal_tyres.htm . Might want to give them a call re price too.
  9. GCG sell the flanges, check out www.gcg.com.au .
  10. How are you getting the car imported? As a personal import or 15 y.o. rule? I've been quoted one week with the new web-based RAWS system, but the only real rule of the thumb importing is to triple the time and double the cost....
  11. As Sideways said, they are 90mm. Both AFM + Tbody taper down somewhat to 83ishmm internal diameter. Both of them work fine with the PowerFC, the AFM is only a couple of clicks to change.
  12. Ideally the front suspension allows easy extension of the shock, and harder contraction. This allows the front end to "stay up" and put more weight over the rear. The rears are to do the opposite, that is compact easily yet have more resistance on the extension - to allow it to stay "squatted" for a longer period of time. Shock absorbers and their valve setup are pretty important.
  13. I think it's 95mm, same size as the AFM. One sec, will measure...
  14. I can get fibre at pretty cheap prices if you want to avoid cat cable.
  15. Hi guys, I've got a few rack mount kits spare. To suit a 4 post rack, has adjustable depth 706mm-747mm (27.8"--29.4") and a cable management system. Good quality ball bearing rollers too. They are to suit Dell 2650's, but can be modified to suit pretty much any rack mount chassis - just need to drill the holes in the rails to suit. Product code is VersaRails PV775N. Rec. retail on these are $397 each, asking $50 per kit.
  16. No, that's getting married.
  17. Too lean on rear cylinder?
  18. Nice graph there Harry, how is the car to drive? Happy with it?
  19. Man, how the hell did you get the Yen symbol up? My and my gimp computer can never get it
  20. Are you looking for a bolt on solution? How much power do you want to get (eventually)? Maybe a 2835Pro or 3037Pro could be better? There are some people on the forums that have used these turbos with proven results...
  21. Have got, will PM you.
  22. It's called Sports Sedans Remember Keith Carling?
  23. There's nothing terribly "top secret" or "proprietry" with Mario's setup. But he is one of the few people in the world with the resources and inclination to build a car like that. In a few years if the development of the RB26 continues, and the popularity of Skylines in the US picks up, then it will be significantly cheaper to build up an RBxx filled with aftermarket parts. How do CNC ported heads flowing 310+ cfm off the shelf sound?
  24. Aww come on, give the guy a break. If he gets one, great. Wouldn't you have loved a high performance car at that age? If I were you, at your age I would start getting into Kart racing or that. By the time you are 21 you'll have advanced driving skills and would avoid getting into bad situations. Hell, by the time you are 21 you could be sponsored in some form of motorsport. Then again, if you're Ritchie Rich just get mum to buy you a race team
  25. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If I had the intention to extremely modify a car from the word go I would have bought a cheap car that needed repairs. Hence why i said "a better way of approaching any project would be to set out your goals first". Next car should be good though, thinking of a '69 fastback mustang with twin T51R's
