  1. IMO, There will always be the minority who have a complete disregard for the law, will speed, will do drugs, drink and drive, etc etc, no matter how much legislation or education you provide, it will still happen. A drag strip may or may not reduce the amount of hoon activity on our roads, but drag strip or no drag strip, "hooning" will still occur. Its common sense that the majority of hoons are aged 16-25ish, and i think that laws such as power to weight restrictions for L, P1 and P2 drivers can help reduce the amount of high speed deaths that occur on the roads. Sure, you can still go fast in any car, but i think most teens/younger drivers speed because their cars with larger capacity engines/forced induction can get to 140k's in a matter of seconds. Reducing the amount of "fun" experienced whilst climbing quickly to high speeds could decrease the amount of high speed deaths/injuries on the roads. But in answer to your question James, i say yes, i think a drag strip will decrease the amount of hooning on the streets, but not by much. We still need hoon laws, and a drag strip. The drag strip could also prove quite profitable, which could be in the interests of the state government... These are my opinions only mind you, from a 21 year old who falls into the hoon category.
  2. post the pics up!
  3. Yes, did forget to mention, was one of the best car shows i have participated in, congrats!
  4. Its like the opposite of peanut butter and jelly, the two will never get along. Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of people on SAU who respect a well built car, regardless of make, but there are also some commodore drivers who have no time for imports and have shown as as much or even more disrespect.
  5. i dont know everything, but im more than happy to offer an opinion

  13. take it out. done. The rest of us fly by the seat of our pants, or we be smart about how we modify our cars. Like not having the boost solenoid with a big "BLITZ" or whatever sticker on it in full view. Be smart about how you modify your car, be smart about where and how you drive.
  14. dutch rudder may suffice.
  15. priceless for the passers-by who look at a huge bald guy sitting in a parked car listening to "never gonna give you up" Stalker?
  16. within 7 days, they finish up in England, move everything to France, have prepped the cars, and are racing again. Pretty unreal stuff. I'd imagine all of the stuff they unpack pretty much rolls straight off, then straight back onto trucks.
  17. suprised no-one has posted the calendar. With some rounds as little as 7 days apart, the turnaround of packing up, prepping the cars, then setting up, is unreal!
