  1. Yeah i assume there wont be bolt on turbo kits made seeing as the compression is so high. But yes, would be awesome if they released them as flex fuel!
  2. http://greddy-usa.blogspot.com/2011/12/1st-modified-scion-fr-s-is-greddy-tuned.html
  3. what do you expect to get out of a 2.0L N/A boxer? The car is aimed primarily at handling and efficiency rather than all out power. Put a big heavy turbo engine in and say cya later to the low centre of gravity and hello to $50k + price
  4. shoop!! BRZ vs 86! http://www.hpi.com.au/node/321 considering a new thread "the Scandy and Damo 86/BRZ hard-on thread"
  5. Luke can get you one off Yahoo auctions! I think Heslo has one?
  6. If compression was down you probably shouldnt have wound up the boost and hammered it, but do a current compression test.
  7. do a compression test, post results
  8. Need track day photos for the newsletter please!
  9. Its the "free air delivery" that you have to take into consideration. All air tools (and spray guns) will have a recommended minimum cfm or similar measure. id imagine that the "high flow" will have a greater free air delivery than the standard 2.5hp
  10. bring back the silvia!
  11. nice find Pete! who stickied the wasteland!
  12. An in-depth look http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/articletype/articleview/articleid/2279/86-under-the-skin-technical-details-on-the-toyotasubaruscion-86gt-86fr-sbrz.aspx Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada was quoted saying “There is a Toyota standard for designing new cars. This standard was to a large extent ignored. Why did we do this? There are cars that are accepted by a lot of people. Practical cars that are easy to drive and that do not break easily. These are standard Toyota cars. The 86 is not a car like that. We had to change our design approach for this car. We may have to do this again for other cars. It is impossible to develop a sports car that appeals to everybody. If you try to please everybody, the car would be half-baked for everybody, and not particularly good for anybody. This car is not developed by a committee, or by consensus.” That strut brace looks like they pulled it off a kids backyard play set! Unfortunately the stud pattern is Subaru, 5x100
  13. Yeah as Steve-o said, depends what you are doing. If you do a bit of spraying and want a good spray gun, youll need a fairly decent compressor. put it this way, to get one of our good gravity guns, youll need at least 300 litres per minute free air delivery. Or a bit lesser quality, around 210-220 lpm
  14. was that in Vic or in SA Faris? 2k's over, $244 sounds incredibly harsh
  15. yeah i dont mind this: with some wider offset meshies and coilovers! fan of those seats too!
  16. Yeah according to Speedhunters, they have already released info to the Nippon Aftermarket Committee so manufacturers and tuners can start production of aftermarket parts! New car owners will have the option to change out the suspension and add aero mods on day 1 of ownership! THIS!!! What a revolution. Best thing a car company has done in a long time. Cant believe Nissan tried their darndest to exclude the GTR from the aftermarket scene, why not encourage personalisation and stimulate the aftermarket economy! In short, the car gives me a hard on. Looks wise, not so much, but the potential.... huge.
  17. you will if you lose it and go back to P1/2 system
  18. something obvious might jump out a you when you take the trim off, you never know.
  19. forget the emotional loss, you did the crime now you gotta do the time. You can avoid financial loss however, i assume you mean that you now cant register the car in your name because they wont let you own it? Is there a chance you can register the car under a friend or family member just for the sale? it might be worth copping the stamp duty to transfer the owner just so you can sell it.
  20. whats the big loss youll incur? financial or emotional?
  21. no you can pull the trim off without damaging it... there are screws and clips involved, do a search and youll be able to find a "how to"
