  1. I was heading down to hunter street to meet up with the guys going for the "fireworks" cruise. after a long day and a few frothies I totally forgot how un-import friendly hunter St is and plowed into a gutter. lucky my front bar is Bull shit tuff (thanks FibreSport!) and ended up with no real damge. few scratches, no extra cracks. sounded nasty. shits happens. was a good laugh. as much as I try to keep it looking neat, its still "go before show"
  2. spotted me urban 4wding at hunter street tonight.
  3. Hobart's the mouthing off capital of Oz. the only way to command respect is to drive some form of holden. A safe bet is a hq. it must have a v8. with pushrods, and a big dirty holley and most definatley roller rockers and without doubt, straight cut timing gears(this is also known as Fully worked or HOT mota). "stractors and hot dog and probably a lukey. tires = Fat. wheels, centrelines are a winner.you must wear a flanno jacket, tight black jeans, a mullet is the prefered choice of cut and the only beats to be played are ACDC. and there's no bloody latte's or souvlaki's about it. meat pies and crap beer is the only way to be rolllin. and ya favourite waterin hole has to be 'the Don' hobart, "hate this place!" haha lol. (nothing against muscle cars, next cars gonna be a mopar monster, but hobarts still a shit bogan town)
  4. Don't lose too much sleep over it. people talk smack all the time. its called jelousy
  5. Ive seen your 33 kickin about. lapping salamanca and round the cbd
  6. its jap... but wouldn't call it pretty lol
  7. http://www.mi-trek.com/WhereVehicle.html I've looked into this ^^^ but I'm going to do some more sniffing about and see whats the best option. The technology is there, just trying to find the best and most reliable option.
  8. yeah saw macca in the 180 aswell and maybe a few others. its good to see people actually having a go. I know its almost f**king impossible without a helicopter but I know if my car was stolen i'd want as many eyes out there as possible. 2 things i'm gonna look into seriously. 1, being a tracking device. tracking device planted in car, not that hard theses days. i'm lucky enough for some of my family to be in that line of work so if i can come up with something useful i.e(a proven, affordable & reliable setup) i'll let people know. 2, being bait car. a random car in a random area that may be of interest to puss maggot car boosters. sit close by and close in on them bail them up with shotties and nail them to a tree out bush. well you know what I mean. without being too over the top but maybe get it into there heads. get them thinking... . gee, will i have people knowing exactly where i am? and or is it not going to start and will people surround my sorry arse and maybe shoot me???? one of these days, one of these DAYS
  9. saw the white 34, NIK-000 coming out of AAMI yesterday. good old smack on the nose. bonnet bar etc held with white tape.
  10. agreed.
  11. bugger off find your own, she's mine.
  12. If you cant find anyone i'll be up there on the 13th til the 18th of this month. I've done a few skylines and a silvia or 2. the fronts are pretty hassle free, but must be treated with extreme care as they are alluminium on GTR's. The rears have a habbit of cracking the paint, but its only the lip, which is not really a problem as you cant see it, let me know what the color is and i'll try to arrange some touch up to dress up under the rear quaters. only to stop surface rust. a old shity trick is to put vasoline on/in any chips cracks but IMO that went out with pushrods. there are plenty of panel shops up that way, but they will charge you too much, probably wont realise "the jap boxes" have alloy front guards and yeah. cheers Jack
  13. well a nitto for $1350 from spool, or tweakit is starting to sound really good. and no doubt you can probably get them a touch cheaper if ya tried.
  14. Thanks dude. Its getting there! Yeah kutzie does look after me. I dont like to dabble into tuning politics too much, but he has done my car a few times now, and he continues to come up with the goods. son of a bitch. I'll keep my eye out if anything else pops up
  15. Name: Jack Location: Hobart Job: Panel beater at Bocchino's - European Technology Bodyworks Car: Nissan Skyline ECR33 Mods:car was 100% stock when I purchased it on may 25th 2007, just after it landed from J land. everything on the car I have done myself (all the custom fabrication/mechanical, everything), except tuning which was left to Andy and Pro Automotive. Roll cage is on the go + my boot 'layout', including 3 litre surge tank and external pump setup etc, and respray is on the cards for xmas break. stroker motor is going to be the next major project. the mods will never stop. The rough aim is 600RWHP, insane panel/paint, clean unique interior, something I can take to the track, hillclimb or drags and drive home, and to remain and bad ass street car. Cheers
  16. hey Justin, I dont really know you, I met you at revo race gear once, anyhow, a guy has a 25 minus turbo and ecu i think out the back of eurotech behind hamish's shop. maybe needs manifold too. I think he wants 1200 or there abouts for it. I have a AFM, manifold and factory ECU your welcome too if you need it. if it doesnt sell soon i'm gonna grab it for a spare lol regards, Jack
  17. well since the Greddy (and those Greddy "styles") have the Q45 flange, id fit one rather than mess with a adaptor plate. It does work
  18. Fitted Hankook Ventus R-S2's to the rear of my car yesterday. 18/40/235 on my 18x9.5 wheels (stretched fit) wear rate is 200, but so far very good! wet weather was good, stable. and in the dry, they hold 350 odd RWKW's well.
  19. cheap turbo's belong on cheap nasty horrod drift cars. on cars where people dont build motors, just replace the bottom end after every round or 2 with another rb30e bottom end, which they can obtain for a cheap nasty corton of beer. on a street car that serves as transport and is your pride and joy.... no no no.
  20. arhh. for the first year I paid the one off payment, 2nd year they allow monthly payments and now i'm onto my 3rd year. its not that much extra to pay by the month.
  21. sounds like your only option is Justcars pay by the month etc. and can be done all online (I dont do phones)
  22. sweet car mate very tasteful modifications dont think Id change a thing. cheap price for a exotic killing 'zila!
  23. big bad burnie. good roads. smooth. more "autobahn" spec, say compared to our more "Dakar" spec hobart roads
  24. nice work mate well done. Go the gtst! 1 minute is quick round there. mate i think its time for some gtr front guards carbon bonnet and boot. carbon doors would shave a few kgs too! and front a rear bar reinforcements are overated also lol bring on round 4
