well I get my toyo's from my local revolution race gear shop. looks after me really well. if you cant find a dealer close to you there are some proxes 4's (good tires) on ebay in the sizes you after i think. also access autoworks on this site sell federal tires really cheap. 595 SS arn't a bad tire either. Proxes 4's are great and are pretty well priced, there R1R's are awesome but are roughly double the price

aftermarket or not, series 1 and 2 are still different. and will not fit (without serious modification)

ALSO, in regards to the questions about the "big fat superlights" They are ROTA RB's barnd is ROTA, RB is model. Rota sort of copy famous designs, work replica's and that sort of thing anyway made in china (nothing against stuff made in china) I think and they do have a repution for being "brittle" but i personally have never seen a set let go. (quite a few local drift cars run them) they are not that exspensive at all -

nice car mate well done. couple of little things i may have done differently but overall its a really nice tasteful car i'm acutally working on a 31 at the moment, not quite as unique as your's, its only a aussie r31 Ti, but has copped new motor and manual conversion. removed moulds through the doors, dog legs and front gaurds & shaved locating holes, boot lock, arial and shaved rear garnish and a line or 2 out of the bars its going gun metal (new honda colour) i think its actually called phantom grey or something. series 1 bonnet, series 1 lights, pintara grill with series 3 front bar with around 18mm chopped out of the sides to fit all the series 1 stuff. also is getting some balck 17'"s (6 spoke). anyways back on topic great car mate well done. -
Thinking Of Taking The Centre Muffler Off....
Mr. Untouchable replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have 3" from the turbo down to a 3" decat, then 3.5" through to a bigg ass cannon. No mufflers nothing just the cannon. from the cat back its a JJR Hyperflow and decat and dump/front are my own. All stainless, all 304 grade as far as I know and decat is 316 grade thats after a 3540r(.82), and thats on a XTR top-mount stainless manifold. hell rasinging note, sounds really unique, my tuner mentioned how free flowing the setup was. But it IS insanely loud. doesnt have a doughey wishy washey note like some big diamtre systems you hear. sounds crisp and raspy, and performance wise its great. can't say I've had any run-ins with the law about the Db level, but I live in a very small city and keep and pretty low profile lol. NOT recomended for built up area's! cheers -
also double check intake pipe, turbo to afm. anything less than 100% perfect is no good!
-
What AFM are you running? double check wiring make sure connections are 100% and i'd be trying a different afm. if its doing it at idle its not going to be a strane thing, so rule out coil packs. maybe injectors. Did you get them cleaned and flow tested? should be checked for leakage and or large flow rate differances. injector loom? did you change injector plugs? doesnt sound like vaccume leak. i'd be semi suspicious about the 26 ecu./ modded what are the injectors scalled at?
-
well you'd expect that the smaller rear and internal gate might choke it up a bit. I think high 200's would be more on the mark. who knows, but good luck with the next tuner/tune.

Super hero's from shiftlock?

only if you accidently leave a large amount of cash in the car lol

nah it has a form on the back of the letter stating, must be signed & stamped by a AIS (approved inspection station) of all the things they could "do" me for, i'm glad it was the plates. and hey, I was given verbal cautions god knows how many times. got screwed last monday (queens b'day) I have learn't, On long w'ends and or public holidays, car stays in garage lol in other news, gonna be painting the Ol' beast pretty soon. And doing the wheels too. Going to bare metal the whole car, epoxy it and flow coat it.
-
technical drama's aye. bugger I gotta get new number plates, then get a Approved inspection station to clear the defect slip. oh and pay the $110 fine I copped along with the defect.. pig mullet bastardo's

yeah coz 225KW's is waayyy too much mumbo for a RB25.
-
Air & Fuel 1. you wont crack that sort of power on the standard turbo 2. injectors will be at maxing point you say basic mods, i'm guessing Exhaust, higher flowing air filter and a FMIC. 160-180rwkw's seems to pull most cars up running the standard ECU. even with after market ECU 190-200 is max

for people who havent been on one before or dont know its even held, Tas commodores hold a Red nose day cruise every year, last sunday in june. This year its the 28th, Meet up is @ hunter street down at the dock near that weird food van. I have been on the last 2, good fun, good mixture of cars and a good excuse to abuse some windy roads. Tas commodores do a really good job organising the event cost is around $20 turn out is always good and they hold a BBQ also. i'm guessing they will do the same this year the exact route is not known till that day apparently its heading south and finish at around 1pm hope to see some other skylines there, i'm almost certian i have been the only one in the last 2 years. cheers, Jack

Are Hks And Nismo Injectors The Same Thing?
Mr. Untouchable replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
aus and jap spec are 440cc I think, US got 550cc's. dont know for sure a mate used to own one, said US spec had steel wheeled turbo's and slightly bigger injectors -
Chasing a 90 degree elbow fitting, just a stock cam cover fitting from a rb25. PM me if you have one!

haha I bought my car withy 118,000 on it 2 years ago (car was dead stock except japo 17" wheels), clutch feels stock, not heavy, can ride it, seems so stockish but held up to over 340RWKW's and on low boost, still 320kw's its still going strong. this is in my 33 gtst.sorta looking forward to when in runs out so i can see what the hell it is
