  1. well somebody was going to say it. Search mate, most informative forum on the net IMO. have a look at the rb26 dyno results thread.
  2. well I've done a lot of reading up on hi flows. A lot of people hate them, and some people blame them for blown motors, as where some guys love them. to keep it short, i think they are a good option if you are on a budget, but do get them from deutchworks or someone reputable. RacePace in melb modify them, and have had great success with them. and they flow test them in house. as i said some love them some hate them, im not going into atomization etc. sometimes they idle a bit doggy. but its the price you pay for not going all out. One thing i will say, buying second hand injectors all together doesnt work out so cheap. seen many guys caught out, and i have been too. if you pay 600 odd dallars for a set of 6. keep in mind the average price to clean/bath and flow test and check for seized/leaking injectors is going to be 150 - 200 dollars. then, stick 25 bux on that for new top and lower o-rings and your up around $800. and if you are unlucky and get landed with a dud...... [end of the world x10, almost as bad as coming home to find you dont actually have beer in the fridge on that uber hot day] a set of new sard 850's are arond 920 - 930 with collars and plugs. if you can get a set that are good for a resonabable price, great. if not Sard 850cc items are IMO the best option. cheers
  3. nice, very nice indeed is that rb26 t4?
  4. yes damn shame was hanging out for a GT tune. maybe with some good tassie seafood and beer and tassie views he maybe just might reconsider coming down ?? i hope so.. eitherway goodluck with it all Anthony cheers
  5. along side getting it tuned again, maybe try different tuner and get second opinion on maps etc. Maybe you should drop 100 rpm and set it at 6900 RPM. (if your a limiter abuser ) and i think you will find s15 injectors are 480cc items? JDM items anyway i think ADM are 370ccs? maybe someone can verify. have you got a big fat cooler? also which turbo? Fuel pump? cheers
  6. yeah thats sounds pretty exspensive. $8,700 a great set of pistons should be under $1500, rods well under $1500... i'm guessing stock crank just polished or something, ACL race series bearings, mmm not % sure what they are worth to fill out a RB30. guessing a few hundred. machining costs.... and oil + water pump gasket kit..arp stud kit maybe? mate unless you are getting the best of the bloody best thats sound rather dear. you'd wanna be getting some high end pistons rods, rings and bearings and a high end oil & water pump. only thing is you say "all fitted and machined ready to be bolted on the head of the RB25" is this including the head work or is that just "ready" for you to bolt a stock 25 head on??
  7. Hi dude, R33 RB25DET injectors and RB26DETT are not the same, the RB25"s are SIDE FEED 370cc items and the RB26 Injectors are TOP FEED 444cc if you get a hks rail you may be able to use the RB26 items but not the RB25's. hope this helps
  8. Ive always run them as close to the throtle body as possible ie 6-8 inches away. and as for being "better" for the turbo to place the BOV close to the turbo, mmm cant really see how its going to make it better. what does matter is plumbing wasted air back into the intake pipe after the AFM. cheers
  9. yep spot on, hit it with some 600 grade paper, doesnt need to be wet rubbed. if you get any nibs in the primer/sealer that are horrorible, get them with some 400-600 grade pape and give it a light scuff and go a dust coat or 2 before hurling it on for that nice flowing gloss finish. you'd probably pay 40-50 bux per pipe section at a bodyworks. facing the pipe back, primer sealer or light putty, then prep, clear over base or solid colour, either way it will get a bit pricey. cheers
  10. whoa, builders products are a big massive no no. Shaving and working the fibre glass, shaving and sometimes adding is the correct way to do it. But if you must seal the Urathane/ Sika , Sikaflex from a automotive place is the go. this is usually black and the reason its a bad idea is painting skirts, bars etc on the car is not the right way to go about it. but if you are make sure you do get a automotive sikeflex/urathane and make sure its not silicone based!!
  11. i will take the turbo mainfold if its not already gone. please let me know asap regards, Jack

  20. Hi guys, I’m getting ready to fit a GT3582r turbo to my rb25. Now aside from feed lines I don’t need to change a hell of a lot, main pain in the ass is going to be the dump. I have a full 3.5” stainless exhaust, with decat. So I need to get my car trailered to a exhaust shop and get the dump modified. Means day off work, mucking around. Now I know not all top mount manifolds will be identical, but I want to know if anyone has the setup (3540r plumbed down the a cat/decat onto a kit exhaust and would be willing to make up a dump(s) Just from a gt30 4 bolt exhaust flange, 02 sensor nut, then down to the cat flange. Going to run a open to atomo screamer so no gate plumbing Can even provide a fitting for the 02 sensor, turbo exhaust housing flange and a cat flange. Thought maybe someone already does this or will be willing to to make a few bucks! Cheers guys
  21. um, well my manifold would be diffewrent to urs, but i also tried a few car stores, revolution racegear etc, tried for ages had nothing I went to enzed and they had heaps, got 5 fittings for 13 bux. ENZED FTW
  22. excellent, thanks guys for all your input. SAU FTW cheers
  23. Hi, after some help/advice. Note, i searched and filtered through a heap of pages. (couldnt find anything) I am very close to installing a hypertune intake manifold on my rb25 i havent done one before. I have GIZZMO racing thermal gasket.(manifold - head) the manifold uses stock runners. it has 4 fittings for vacume hoses and has the idle control flange underneath it. now i know i'll need to fab something up to hold the throttle cable just wanting to know what i will need and anything to look out for. so for the guru's out there who have done it, advice would be very muchy appreciated! kindest regards Jack
