  1. ahhh engine deaths suck wang. no good, Im assuming the 500kw supra was Matty rodgers? gets a move on that thing. 3rd is a top result!
  2. Just stick a 33 25 in it nowelly. Just get one that has healthy comp and obviously one that has as much stock stuff still attached as possible that doesn't look like its been just put back on. Put your sump on it and cam covers and with the money you save buy a accusump setup if you want a extra fail safe. Keep it at 7500 and love life. And from what I can see, and from what you have told me, that motor build/tune is shithouse. Woeful. Oil problems from day dot, then that. Compared to say rusty's car, which he took in, had the motor pulled, built, put back in and tuned to similar power as yours and has been drifted and daily driven for years now and the bill was about 7k or something and has yet to put a spanner to it. Edit, just saw the fuel filter thing, still, undiscovered Amazonian tribes knew you'd have oil dramas with no restrictors and a good sump etc.
  3. Love it mate, should of gone the distance with the body filler, but still looks good. I have a carbon duct intake light on my 33, they are awesome and very effective. I wouldn't have believed it if someone told me the difference it makes, not so much power, but helping with heat soak, lap 10 is as strong as Lap 1.
  4. looking good mate, if your gonna keep the carpet out get some dry ice pellets and strip the deadener out and paint the floor out, will look a million bux. a pic of my datsun with the floor painted out, looks great in person
  5. That's what I said. Can pick up N1's reasonably cheap these days and you can pick up JPC or reimax gears which don't cost a fortune.
  6. Planning on heading out Sunday, boss of Baskerville last year was really good too, except the bit where they left brad sitting duck on the start finish line whilst a few other cars went past at speed, handicap with a chance of death lol. Hope the weather plays nice.
  7. Spotted a white Nissan Datsun taking off at some lights in newnham thisafternoon in a speedy fashion, wheelspin, smoke and so forth. Making a bit of a racket, and travelling slightly squ-iff up the road somewhat like a crab. Perhaps it was a SAU member, I suspect it may have been. After the said events I had the uncontrollable urge to yell YOU ALMOST HAD ME..... YOU NEVA HAD ME...., YOU NEVA HAD YOUR CAHHRR! That happens when I'm in Launceston town for work, man I need a beer.
  8. Hands down best sounding car on the planet. And my gawd is it clean and tasteful. Not a drags fan myself but it makes me grin ear to ear and warms my usually cold soul watching it hose down the big block brigade and their pushrods powered chariots, then drive home after owning the shit out of everything. Legendary, I bow to the master.
  9. Farkin oath. This genuinely saddens me.
  10. Mild steel dumps went out with 202 reds and hotwires. What a crock of shit, had a just jap stainless dump on my car for 3 years and 55 thousand Kay's, 3 years of daily driving and about 8 track days. Now I have made my own, that's only done about 8 thousand Kay's and 2 or 3 track days. I had the just jap split dump, hardly top end product but did the job and sounded the part. Looked like brand new after 3 years, and 55k km's . If you want a half assed rusty piece of shit, go mild steel.
  11. My ex had a blitz system on her car, good quality and excellent fitment etc but sounded a bit tame for my liking.
  12. Left hand rear quarter has about 50 pounds of bog in in it, looks Like it was applied with a shovel and rubbed with a rock. Hands down one of the biggest shitters about. Was "clean" about 6 years ago, would make good target practice now.
  13. If your considering local and your in hobart PROFAB on gepp parade in goodwood would have to be worth a look. with Chris tanner and Chris Mcgrath on the Tigs, some impressive work is coming out of that place.

  20. I'm afraid I agree, 17's are the smallest wheel that still looks good on a 33. 18's fill the guards the best
