  1. sorry for scaring ya,, but it only takes a few CC's of oil in syringe with vynal hose super glued on it to reach to prelube the walls and rings If you dont feel comfortable doing it I would highly recommend help.. I would but dont have time this week sorry, and yes I have built many race engines in my time...lol a few dozen a year when running a few cars on the track
  2. just dont tape on the fender paint, de-sticky the tape by touching it to your jeans or tshirt.. if its too sticky it will pull off paint or leave white sticky crap on the car.
  3. ebay if your not in a hurry???
  4. a tiny, tiny bit of oil,, not a shot glass full...lol or it will hydro lock and bend the rods when you hit the starter, end of the motor again!!!!! then when you do put in the plugs and it fires run it just long enough to get oil pressure(30 sec or so) then shut it off to check everything for leaks and top up the oil again after the filter fills up.
  5. easy for you to say ruby, your volvo can tow a RV pop up to sleep in...lol.....Im still going to be wadded up sleeping in the back seat of the 34 when Im retired...lol hell maybe a R35 or hydrogen powered R36 by then..lol retirement is over rated, I still want to be busy improving till death, screw sitting around rotting. gotta live life a bit , you might not be around till the end to enjoy it with loved ones.
  6. sure dan, then we can do TOP GEAR - SAU SA video work as the A380 engines blow it off the runway at 300k..lol bet it would still run and look the same.. but then you can have brag rights...lol the hole in the window would highlight the city lights ,, as its dropped from a cargo plane at 20,000 ft...lol or maybe we can say its a gunshot from a 50 cal machine gun on a WW2 plane...lol at least they didnt shoot you down in the Holden plant parking lot(enemy territory)
  7. I'm still interested not positive about hotel yet, still no krudd stimulation, damn ATO is slow as hell
  8. yes you can , take it to the shop that installed it or risk" VOIDING "your warranty or insurance issues if stolen. "simple diode isolation of sensors" but might register as a bonnet impact when the window is broken , based upon led flashes or beeps when disarmed to isolate them you need multiple input channels to know what happened to set them off, if you dont have any left it registers as whatever its connected too? if that makes sense ? the window up/down portion maybe, if you have multiple function buttons on the remotes.I dont have the mongoose manual in front of me to say 100% if not you can wire it to go up when armed with a relay.
  9. some twisted pairs run near power or computers will create inductance induced noise? try running a pair of working rca cables even 2 dollar cheapos outside the car to the boot amp. did the noise go ? no try the antenna wire, is it loose or unshielded, they pick up a/c from fans, etc if loose deck grounded to metal or car harness, try the metal of the car all power goes down one side of car if its front battery. and rca down the other side,, ALWAYS!! otherwise look at the grounds for amp, secure, no paint rca crossing over fuel pump harness? if so move it over or up does the noise increase with fan on, window heater on? if so check the battery connections, clean , tight ? run a ground wire to alternator bracket bolt to ground on battery. do you hear whine on alternator, with fan on, heater wires in window on? might be a bad alternator, have it checked with Oscilloscope for A/C ripple ? a stiffening cap will reduce whine on amps ? removes ripple but alternator must be good to start with? does the whine increase with rpm.... fans, heaters off? coilpack voltage leakage ? or voltage regulator issues, might be overcharging a bit ? name brand RCA dont fix bad whine unless a shield is broken on the old ones. the path of the rca is more critical then brand names broken ground shield shows up if you run a new wire outside the car, it can also be a bad pre amp portion on the amp, but rare!!
  10. dont get CT18 on the paintwork from splashes it can cain the gloss bad, tape a old sheet or plastic over fenders before you plan on a big cleaning fest for small jobs its prob ok not to cover them up spray the electrical parts with silicone before you spray can help too. repels the water in advance?? dont spray near belts or in alternator 5-10 min only if your motor is nasty greasy otherwise a few min is enough
  11. ^Nope Man Ruby are you pushing her out on the street ...lol ???? Slumlord king raised her rent to 500 a day to pay for his GTR..lol
  12. I'd use the 2.5 k on moving away from whyalla..lol 2k on beer and pizza for mates to help 500 on fuel and truck rental problem solved buy a disposable car for a few hundred bucks

  15. spotted a black r32 with P's on beach rd near maccas, low spec car , looked like crap , stock. no spoiler and it looked like parking lot scrapes down the side door police mobile radar on a stealth VE in seaford area, commercial rd.
  16. speaking of being BLOWN hard and going fast, I saw a Black HSV R8 holden with a massive polished FMIC yesterday and heard the whine of a funny car coming from it ..in seaford sounded porn and looked pretty stealthy , beside the massive whine and fmic it looked like a normal R8 with stock wheels etc. Cara is going to be a whiner soon......lol tailem bend hoon..lol are you going to "Cowboy Up" your daily Cara ? lights, antennas, mud flaps etc
  17. yeah I bet you shite yourself...lol my bro sprayed his VW airflow meter with water and it fried it when it had power applied to it.. OOPS, costly mistake and cast iron doesnt like to be quench cooled with a garden hose while red hot..lol tends to crack it near the studs
  18. try not to pressure wash it, and dont use red can degreaser crap(kero in a can), it corrodes connections and rust on the block, use a proper natural engine cleaner, or something like Kenco in a spray bottle.and a light rinse , dry parts with air or let it run for a bit afterwards, beware of all wiring, bonnet liners, airfilters, with pressure or water I use the long life gel tire shine from megulars on rubber, wont collect dust if wiped off after application. and lasts a lot longer then the spray stuff.. look at the megulars forums USA or AU for more hints on cleaning, heaps of good tips spray silicone lightly on connections afterwards with a fine mist to get rid of water etc. dont spray with engine running or cooking hot either. shorts out connctions or can crack parts from hot parts / cold water
  19. thats cool wish I was getting a respray..lol are you sticking with the same colour ? and for those asking, the plane would be EX military not a F18...LOL and not a 747 either..lol and it could be at any airport in the adelaide area pending response/confirmation from the aero club president, or the other person i asked permission from. might have to be fair about spots and use a lotto system to draw names out for spots... or the one who slips me the most stimulus cash...lol kidding
  20. Yes ..Dan for real..lol but it will be limited to a max of 6 cars and 1.5hrs to shoot them in. Im trying to get a military, vintage or exotic aircraft for a backdrop by the end of may or first weeks in june(weekend or friday night). and possible access to the tarmac as well for one car at a time for ultimate BLING factor shots dont pm me yet to secure your spot wait for confirmation first.. and no you cant burn up the runways and you must behave on the tarmac better then a "sinner in confession to the pope" or it will be the last time they let us take photos there ..lol
  21. ok, Im trying to secure a aircraft hanger and plane for backdrops.. on a friday or weekend night to wet down the floor for reflections of the cars its not 100% yet but trying to confirm it. and some other prime local spots. for daytime shots keep the suggestions up and hope by weeks end the date can be confirmed Troy that cat photo is SOOOO wrong but funny
  22. spotted a white r33 no wing with a massive nismo sticker on the back window at christies beach sun sweet black r33 gtr and a white dr30 heading towards dinga together sat?
