Driver Charged After Sa Police Graduation Burn-outs
Carbon 34 replied to Howie's topic in South Australia
let me guess it was a skyline,, hope not..lol funny but what a muppet!!!!!!..lol -
I know lots of them and not one makes 6 digits, even the mine people dont with shit loads of overtime.. beside working in the farking 50c heat in a dust bowl on hot trucks in MOOMBA ? for 2 weeks on 12 hours or more a day. I dont think so. a few years and your burned out if you make it that long, most dont, then end up in town making 50-60k tops.. once again a market that is getting saturated fast in Adelaide ?
-
I can give advice about the IT Eng, I have been one for the past 15 yrs, along with my other biz. the market in Adelaide is over saturated and under payed, to many people will work in IT for 25k a year. if you think this job pays good or is a good one, think again, unless you go to the east or west. and even then they're laying off people right and left. or work on secret projects for the destroyers or RAAF base I learned how to work on cars by working on Race cars volunteer in high school a long long time ago..lol, the guy down my street had a RX7,Formula 440, and a Formula VW, then a Formula Ford. so over about 6 or 7 years of his cars, and my own projects and race car , you learn fast or pay top dollar to someone else who doesnt fix it right anyway?(lots of shonky repair people in this world, but not all?) working on cars stuffs your back, arms, etc over long term. but I still love it as a hobby. you want good money and a safe job go medical, or like a few have said, Electrical. if you go to a place on stuart street just west of morphett rd on the north side of the street , they run aprenticeships, and job placement thru the gov funding bodys. see Alan Williams nice guy might be able to point you in the right area? plumber sux, I did this in the navy , turd chaser is the nickname you get, enough said!!! so I became a welder/ firefighter instead, before joining the navy seal training. follow your heart and passion for things you enjoy mate

see you learn your lesson..lol that would suck dog balls to walk a bike in the middle of nowhere..lol I was just shitty after hearing the dicounted price ???for 18" tires in OZ..lol in my days I used to fry up some tires , on my datto 1200 with skinny 5" retread tires on 12" rims.but I was 16 then..lol and yes I called for the SAU price too..lol
-
after pricing new tires for my car, I dont see how people can afford burnouts with big rims, or why they do them on a rough street. the way i see it ,$ 500++ for two cheapy tires min just for them to go up in smoke and dust,,, stupid as hell.it doesnt impress me at all not to mention the other parts it trashes. anyone want my 18" Impul rims with bridgestone tires some tread left, 30% or so,,, Im going down to 17" for cheap tires. how do the tires companies think 1 inch taller demands 4 or more times the price for the same tires? rip off, supply and demand gone wrong or running so much dial in on the front wheels the tires only ride on the first few Cm,,, hello its a street car oh and scandy I know a female , who has the other 4 matching tires to that one driving around christies in a white ford. with unbelted kids in the car no less, oh and she got pulled over for no rego and let go? bragging it up how she got off ...life isnt fair..lol

lol old military bases are used in the USA for dragstrips etc. it just makes too much sense doesnt it? in case anyone is bored read this and go down to Australia,,,,as you can see street racing is a popular thing world wide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_racing#Australia but in USA they ticket the spectators, as well as the racers now, WTF?

Where Can I Get A Replacement For My Alarm Remote?
Carbon 34 replied to Skyline1989's topic in South Australia
most work even after a washer gets a hold of them, if you can take it apart , do it and let it dry or use hair dryer with the battery out, then try it again. other wise my first thought is depends on the brand of alarm ? some arent worth buying new remotes for, the remotes cost 100 or more but a new up to date alarm is only a bit more ? maybe if your not in a hurry ebay ? google the name brand and see if you can find a dealer ? or on the back of some remotes they have a 1800 number , but its a USA number and prob wont work here , so you must dial the 00111 before the other number ? if its really old, they use a jumper setting to program the remotes, do not throw the old one out, the alarm guy might need to see it , to find out which jumpers are cut ? new ones are simple to to code, they use the valet switch to program it. dont let them charge you to program it if you buy it from them, takes 2 min tops. if its the oem key alarm, its going to be a bit of a pain, Nissan or locksmith ? -
Busted, I caught this guy putting cards on windows to drag for cash??? cause he is outta work ...lol
-
no but it would get the hoons off the roads. and word of mouth will bring out the racers for cash. so its a double win for sapol. and get defectable cars in one spot. you would be suprised how well it works in USA... and not classified as entrapment either..lol some of the cashed up hoons also sell drugs for cash, so they get hit too.. sapol wins either way anyone google the number yet ? or do a reverse lookup? online you can find out about anyone brian spilnar, so they say in 2f 2f..lol
-
cops can and do lure people this way, very common in USA....good luck not ending up in jail..lol I did find a new makeshift drag strip near me, while new white lines painted the right distance a part, and lots of burn out marks, I would never race on it, very wavey road in the sticks..... end up in the ditch for sure.. but it explains the noises i heard sat night at 4am,, damn commy hoons and a bit of WRX noises, maybe a SR20 too

spotted a silver stag in aldinga headng towards the beach, got a wave. I see it all the time, who is it..lol ?

do you really need a respray or a really good detail? I'd be willing to give it a go cheap if the paint isnt destroyed already? save you a bunch of money, I redid mine after I priced the respray...lol and I'm picky ..lol

watch out for the devine 105% loans, and high fees to break the loan in 3 years. I found the homestart and st george dudes had the cheapest loans, but in the end i sold the house. CBA and a few others valued the houses low here. cause they didnt have sales data for the area, too new!! another option is newish but used, a lot of houses around here, a year old and up for sale due to job losses ? one gotcha in this economy is buying more house then you can afford, just because you can buy it (qualify for it) doesn't mean you can really afford it in the long haul , houses have lots of hidden cost most people don't figure in home loans or budgets? banks can afford risk, but most of us cant afford to loose a house. just my two cents of advice?

Testarossa cool? have you driven one ?, I drove my mates fully tricked out Konig twin turbo black model in aspen colorado for a month, looked really hot, but unstable with that much power(close to 900 dyno'd HP at sea level). and touchy engine didnt like a good flogging at high altitude, , plus being tall you dont fit for shit. gear shift is behind my kneee when i drive it. not a fun car to drive ????, scrapes on every driveway. but at nearly $500,000 US invested in it, it does pull chicks like a money magnet..lol its a look at me Im a WANKER car, but for a driver give me a GTR, Austin martin, GT3 or something like that. his car must be one of the nicest Testarossa in the world, PS. he is very very rich and single for all you materialistic girls out there, 35 yrs old.lives in many locations worldwide. sorry this isnt the dribble thread...lol

fiberglass too weak for a lower lip ????, I had a much lower front bar on my RX7 for 11 years, the only time I needed to fix it was after hitting the remnants of a frozen deer carcass at 80mph on a dark night. even then it only cracked a corner of it. if you know how to drive your car and drive knowing how low and what angle to drive out of car parks at, you wont have problems . plastic ones would tear if they hit things, look at the ones on OEM cars, they tear when they hit parking blocks. but if you cant drive good dont bother with front lips you will tear them off your car.quickly and if you guys want one coated with carbon , carbon doesnt like pin point impacts, it tends to shatter the clear gel coat on it if you hit a parking block or something like a rock off a truck?. a bit brittle but strong and light. and a pure carbon lip is expensive to make, at least 300.00 in black carbon alone. I located some carbon fiber, kevlar, aramid heat proof glass fibers and I can get it in a vast array of colours and thread counts (photos coming soon of colours). so maybe in a few weeks time permitting ,I can see what I can create that wont cost a boat load to reproduce. going to make a few other parts in carbon too, battery boxes, airboxes, coat inside dash parts, and air panels between headlights and radiator. engine fuse box cover , RB25 coil cover and rocker covers in carbon, and neo engine cover in carbon, and new pedistal mounts for my wing , taller ones in carbon if anyone might be interested? dont flood me with orders yet..lol can someone with a lowered R34 GTR or GTT with lip, measure the distance from the ground to the lip on the front bar? and the distance from the top of the front lip to the bottom of the lip , just for reference since I dont have access to a real one? and only can guess how low to make it ? the lip i make will replace the factory front plastic under tray, and have functional brake cooling ducts, ducted cooling to the radiator/ fmic and drain holes for water to excape etc. my tray is missing already so not an issue.lol and have a rubber or teflon strip hidden under the front bottom to keep scrape thinning minimized cheers

parasitic drag is the word i think???. air flow and liquid dynamics , if its too smooth it actually beads the fuel up , not ideal for sure. you want the best fuel atomization you can get, like a super fine mist ? this is very true, intakes work better if left glass beaded/sand blasted texture inside .but port matched to the gaskets and intake plenum and all burs removed, extrude honing is a great way to fix up the head but not sure if anyone does it here in Adelaide? (kinda like shooting sandy toothpaste with extreme pressure thru the ports smoothing the walls ) the exhaust side needs to be polished up and flowed , also port matched to gaskets and extractors , also by cc'ing the head to balance the power in each cylinder and polishing the combustion chamber to keep the carbon buildups minimized, saves the carbon buildup from misfiring over time or even jamming in the ring lands like abrasives tidy up the head gasket to match the water jackets as well. a little bur/ slag in the water jacket can cause a lot of hotspots on turbo cars. creates a spot of bubbles which dont transfer heat out of the head correctly, cavitaing the water pump at high rpm if severe, all easy to do for the best insurance and head performance when my head is due I'll port my own and take photos of it for ya, later this year prob. I've done a lot of them in my past for formula fords ,datto, formula VW cars. for those of you who want to do it just take your time ...it's not hard to of good info here for the DIY http://www.sa-motorsports.com/diyport.aspx

I read the title and had completely different thoughts of what you asked.. but wont post it up here and photo's of my thoughts i don't think so ..lol this might be more of a wasteland subject..lol no motorbike, too farking dangerous, I'm passed that phase of life a long time ago. to many idiots on the road for one here. even a push bike is a bit risky on the roads here !!!!

hmm pretty odd, call the police and let them know, might be stolen or foul play? if not call , rocco at sinergy to see if he knows the owner, maybe he can call them ? last time i reported a car like that the cops they took there sweet ass time and came the next day but some kids broke into it and torched the car. it was stolen too.. little bastards!!! good old huntfield heights Ted , good to see someone steps up to the plate to take notice of odd things. instead of just blowing it off.
