Pretty sure the law says you need a cat !! If the car came from oem that way , your not going to feel a lot of power over a hiflow car , only noise that makes it sound faster A decrease if your cat expands pipe goes from 2.5 ,3 to 5in the air turbulence actually makes less power Plus smells like hell to idle The fine is huge if your not running a cat or shop removes it for street use After running no cat on NA rx7 for 11 yrs except for 15 min california style emissions test only to remove it again , on that full race motor i noticed it a lot but the factory intakes etc had to be put back on to pass too and a bottle of emmisions pass junk poured into the tank for the test on bridgeport motor Its not worth it buy a 100cell for 200 bucks which is sorta legal anyway Can be drone at speed which is super annoying My 2 c

R34 Gtt Series 1 Vs Series 2

Yeah who knows the 206ps " gentleman's agreement " was in place still it might be ar the wheels stock the car runs about that much power I think its more of engine and trans dyno figure , back then chassic dynos were rare even for big companies except for racing teams You can feel the difference for sure in s2 over s1 cars the car is way more driveable around 60kph once modded even a little it makes it a whole lot better car to drive sanely ( but will bite you on rough roads in the rain tcs off) its a fine game of throttle control and potholes with jap spec coilovers . Like a gokart on oily road Fun but you better pay attention or back it into a tree I have a test review from a car mag in uk , its interesting , I'll scan it up this week sometime -

Yeah cool story bro Worse place to put it Your a mupppet we dont disclose security details in a public forum car theft is bad enough without help from wanna be "pro installers " Try being helpful in other ways ffs And we tend not to want DIY car security installs because 99% get it wrong , nobody likes to fix someone elses mess when it comes to alarms

Automatics have a built in slip factor and because of the design less power makes it to the wheels Automatics in general arent performance base cars they're designed for coffee cups, traffic and being smoothe , only lately has it become a performance option (flappy paddles) semi auto (Always in drag racing circles due to being able to sit on the exact rpm for launch ) Australia has so many people who don't know how to drive a clutch it forces car companies to build autos , 4 dr's , growing up in the states everyone drove a stick and had 2 dr's , now its lazy drivers everything is huge, traffic brutal, coffee mugs 2 litre size Some people look a people who drive a stick , turbo, 2dr as hard core rebels lol or mid age crazy Overall jap cars of the 1970-2000 in auto were cushy cars not beasts an smoothness was more important -

I did all my hoses , water , air etc so they could match my colour scheme The expensive ones from prob one of the best in oz arent any better then good ones made in china ? My failure hose is the name brand stuff , same hose twice now gates makes oem hoses and racing hoses , that withstand time but can be hard to find Supercheap sells some ? Gates makes the GReddy belts as well and a few other branded japanese belts My radiator is from a local popular SAU seller but it had made in china right on the box , so unless its made onsite its made overseas prob!! but you know its still better then factory lol crimped alloy and plastic tanks suck -

Ebay hoses just fine except they forgot to cut them on the ones under plenum so they looked wonky till ya figured that out, but I bought the 5-7 ply ones not flimsy ones And kudos 100k kit Gates belt noisy as hell but after speaking to gates racing it just needs to be tensioned with a warm engine not cold kelvar doesnt stretch well and it just takes a little expansion and noise pops up Radiator had issues with but its a SAU seller who wasnt the most helpful and now it leaks on the bottom hose dooh , its made in china as well anyhow so why bother The other hoses i had fail were name branded au brand vacuum hoses - too thin walled -

R34 Gtt Series 1 Vs Series 2

Yep to keep the ice from building up on the front edge of the roof and flying off onto the cars backwindow or behind you , my rx7 used to throw sheets of ice and snow off the sunroof down the backwindow and deflect it up off the whale tail The heated copper tube is between the front and leading edge of the sunroof glass held off the headliner but hooked to the roof on metal clips , blew me away lol wtf is that look heated mirrors , ditched mine for carbon ganadors already lol Car is nearly stock on dyno it ran 200kw+ @ wheels and 503nm @ 3100rpm on 10psi and failing cat still pulling power but the cat was glowing before redline so we stopped ( bp 98) And neo engines Use GTR rods , solid lifters and series 2 use a N1 style waterpump impeller to reduce cavitation nissan fast doesnt even have half of the parts in it Which is annoying When the dealer cant find it lol -

There from japan i found a source He has a bunch of gtr 34 stuff and a little gtt stuff left till i can buy em lol The R35 stuff came from Au, Uk, US, japan , unopened from nissan, japan 2013 still has the nissan logo seal on the plastic , has a model r35 sales gift to entice you to buy one from nissan , high detailed mounted desk item in nissan box all kinds of goodies , impul , nismo, blitz dealer catalogs from 2000 model Special model pamphlets like Black edition R35 , Nismo edition etc -
If its sprayed clear , treat it just like a car paint , wax it etc, just remember the clear will be much thinner ( some will be epoxy clear other lacquer which cracks and hazes fast) You can also get what is called "blushing " kinda a wipe off hazy look thats from non UV stable and possibly chemical reaction still occuring in the epoxy from the heating, in that case let it cook in the sun one hot day then wash with good car soap not kit or some crap like dish soap And show car glaze and your fav good paste wax Once again not turtlewax, kit or cheap crap Using only microfiber towels to wash and dry snd polish not lambs wool for anything or sponges If you drop the rag grab another one dont use it again And when you wash rags DO not use fabric softener it leaves a haze on your car and smears The epoxy used on carbon bonnets is paperthin in most cases so sanding or even a detailer polisher can be dangerous and require a reflow of epoxy or even carbon repair which is paper thin too

R34 Gtt Series 1 Vs Series 2
Carbon 34 replied to B-Boi34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I have a series 2 build date 9/2000 and there is a mountain of things that differ, garrett labeled turbos to start with 206ps cams are the torque increase, bigger smic , electronics are different using SMD curcuits that dont interchage, side airbags on some cars , lower emissions , heated sunroof and mirrors with super defrost snow option , seats use different cloth inside and out, etc , i have the factory S2 Gt/Gtt etc sales brochure and I was blown away by the options not documented anywhere 7 sedan models, 5 coupe not including gtr!! -
Your right the word "pro" is vauge just because a Car audio or alarm shop installed it doesnt mean its right , but a 12v sparky is even worse lol sorry its true , i'm sure theyre is exceptions around ? And mobile installers are fine for somethings but not for a well hidden job it just takes too long to do it from a van in crap weather while customer stands above them Your giving away the location of the items on the Net too now not wise Like I said do not pull ground or power off any ecu items or weird things happen some fatal to owner or car and hard to figure out once hacked by items that dont belong hooked up to those and no fuel related items either , nissans have low voltage conditions from ecu transistor and can drop well below 12v running which would be fatal to ecu and most likely tracker most GPS trackers are slammed in or substandard jaycar plastic models that arent up to australian conditions longterm , real installers would hide it so well even the dealer wouldnt find it looking all day long !!!

Can I Put Windex In My Window Washer Bottle?
Carbon 34 replied to xntrq's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yes its the real stuff but built up over lots of thin layers to work, you can buy glasswax from USA its pretty cheap under 20 bucks some megs wax works but beware some waxes stuff the wipers and they shudder bad , those silicone blade suck too unless its a downpour , splatters of water they clean to well and the backstroke is bouncing blades -
Is Remote Start Legal In Australia ?
Carbon 34 replied to Carbon 34's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
its a big ? , just like ADR in general state by state, who even knows anymore its a shot in the dark for all mods its wank factor anyhow Starting your car and walking two steps away you can be done for "aiding and abeiting "a criminal so watch out , same goes for keys in a car even in your driveway in whoop whoop , police can and will give you a summons for it , my friend got done in his driveway -

I'm Locked Out Of My Car! Door Locks No Worky
Carbon 34 replied to Bond's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
The locks should work even without the alarm ? Unless its been so long the lock barrel is crusted and won't turn or i think 1 lock actuator failed from siezing in my lifetime and it had sand and salt from no window seal mind you the rusted door bottom you could shoove a finger thru actuators fail for these reasons , loose and rod sliding ,wired wrong, blown fuse, hitting something installed later like speakers or ? , door trim rubbing, on older cars like AU r31 the lock buttons get stuck , silicone spray fixed again for a year poor design, even relay failure is extremely low most of the time its due to crusty terminals not the relay itself -
Give him his car back , your begging for bad things to happen if your stuck already and never pull power off ecu's for anything where did you buy the alarm they should help you or shouldnt have sold it without install to start with Sorry but alarms are best left to pro's in 99% of the cases home install ends in failure
