R34 Gtr Double Din Conversion Kit - Part Numbers?
Carbon 34 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Sorry thats not right You only need the facia not the whole A/C climate control , gtr and some of the other R34 have ambient air temp sensor as well so you have to be careful which one , the silver knob pushes in on ambient air temp model the other one wont The sensor is just in front of the lower driver side radiator , a plug with a small item in held out space and held on with 10 mm bolt You just unsnap the old single din shaped faceplate, unbolt the circle behind the knob first And slap on the new wider angled one its that easy and bolt on the circle bit and shove the knob back on , its a good time to go change the lights to LED since a lot are burned out and dated looking anyhow -
Timing Belt Noise Issue After 100,000Km Service
Carbon 34 replied to ozcanGTT's topic in General Maintenance
Spoke to a few other tuners and gates again they say nissan factory is best ( i disagree for many reasons ) but hey the problem seems to be a belt tensioned with the motor cold as ice the belt deflection doesnt exist when hot and it rides tight as fark on pulleys and tensioners my cas was fine , checked a few times since i changed a mountain of parts in that area lately the belt issues exist worldwide on all types of cars The mechanics dont know the fix in most cases but this is my findings The noise is worse with carbon covers ( more echo) oh and i found out the GReddy belt is made by gates as well so the above problem would be consistant with both belts, they make a few major jap belts for racing i would still buy the gates belts but install it myself if i wasnt injured at the time grrrrr Gates makes street and race belts blue is race , black street in case anyone wonders ditching my new bosch belts on the external pulleys for blue racing from gates next , they match my underdrive alloy pulleys lol -

Is Remote Start Legal In Australia ?
Carbon 34 replied to Carbon 34's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
At some point it may fall back on the installers shoulders (you shouldnt install it since its a safety hazard ) liability issue? counter sued ? the aftermarket parts sold that dont have disclaimers informing you a turbo timer is a defect ? that kind of deal and if the installer/ sales person / shop got fined for doing the wrong thing It would open up a can of worms , selling items not legal for road use in australia? The nanny country lol We should all drive airbags on wheels with gps control automatic speed sensor for each street which wouldnt work, the same street a block apart changes 2-3 times in speed in adelaide lol Just think a car shaped like a marshmallow to protect us !! Conform , succumb and obey lol -
Is Remote Start Legal In Australia ?
Carbon 34 replied to Carbon 34's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Yeah chris i know that , to me its like a turbo timer pure wank , sure i would like a cool car in hot days but you know the local scum would think they could steal the car even if they couldnt get two feet in it !! Its not worth broken window The outdoor show car scene might grab a extra point lol I want the car that can load the groceries in a down pour via remote haha -
For those of you who have it now or think of installing it in the future please read http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/article/news/vehicle_remote_start_law_changes/ interesting , guess we'll see if anyone goes to court to clear a defect because of it

R34 Gtr Double Din Conversion Kit - Part Numbers?
Carbon 34 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Its been covered a few hundred times But you just need the face plate off a newer or gtt , gt model car for the a/c and move it up a spot The double din cage exists already behind the pocket The controls fit exactly the same just fills the gap all the way across The nav wont work here anyhow , the mfd will and can be used still , where are you located Chris rogers on sau deals a lot with these parts and will help you a fair bit -
R34 Gtr Double Din Conversion Kit - Part Numbers?
Carbon 34 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
The single din kit is a pocket, or slab of abs, or sunglass holder depending on the brand Original you can find a pocket, or hide hole -
R34 Gtr Double Din Conversion Kit - Part Numbers?
Carbon 34 replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Its already double din iso ( tiny bit off double din todays standard but not much to worry about ) No kit needed but some trim rings wont fit right without filing the trim ring slightly or some dont need trim ring mounted , only slot the existing holes in the cage holding the radio to set it back a bit further to make it look perfect Note tape a thick soft towel around the console / gear surround to set the razor sharp cage on or it farks the surround black bits and its near impossible to repair , Double din rules fark the single din look is boring -

Parts For R34 Names And Price
Carbon 34 replied to Manuel Kasko's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Never use second hand ball joints , tie rod ends The new ones cost under 50 bucks a pair , if your clever and have a spliter tool you can drop the arm at a shop like pedders and 20 bucks later they pressed them in for you Knuckes ? Havent heard that since my old car days , that shouldnt cost much either Check on sau for one or eblow if your asking for the part the wheel bearings sit on Then get the car aligned -
Hope its a track car , you will feel the wrath from the man if you yank out the airbag on R34 Major defect Sorry cant help you find the boss kit , just wanted to let you know
-
That is nice effort but nowdays it can done on odb2 cars off the shelf parts , and fabricating that is nothing special the backend programing and icons would have taken a while You can go even further then this now and cover all your features and some you prob havent heard of My car has a fair whack of that and some and dash is near stock still The cost of parts and curcuit intergration does your head in and ADR rules stop super crazy stuff :-(

It was on tv in adelaide and who knows where else ? the car was from vic it wasnt specific about where the fuel was stolen , i laugh at how you guys pass it off like nothing and attack a fellow sau member ( not a young noob either) yes i posted it in vic on purpose Vic rego so you might know him ? Do i need to elaborate futher geez us theft is theft and isnt a joke like he makes it ? even if petrol companies rip us off daily on prices Once again lack of respect ? Glad i didnt go to nationals in vic if thats how you treat sau people , keyboard warrors i would comment futher but i wont bother
