Crossovers if you run them from the boot you will need Two wires to each door ? Mounted in doors just one? Your preference really , two wires would be able to take more current but not nessasary for mids tweets unless you run active crossover on each speaker not a lot of hacking to use alpines and have the savings go towards having a shop install them if your not up for it Decks dont buy from overseas all the features might not work and warranty is more them likely void unless your after super basic sinlge din deck steer clear of cheap US dealers My deck choices in order Alpine/pioneer Kenwood/ clarion upper models/orion digital radio clarion/sony Blaupunkt/ the rest including ebay Your bare min comes on just about any mid range deck and lots of lower end ones too Digital radio and or tv? I have both in my car but its a lot more to get it to work while moving , nice but way beyond most budgets or skills to do it Parts had to be imported to make it work right here and still can be flaky , touchy signals Even my hd tv at home looses signal with new hd antenna so double that in a car The option for digital is use 3/4g iphone to stream it to the radio via bluetooth or cable , not perfect but works Note pandora does not work in australia (pioneer radio)

Spacers should be mounted to door with flat surface and butyl rubber sealer , speakers should be mounted flat not warped or wavy the coils can drag if flexed and butyl seal to wood Wood should be sealed with paint or epoxy or it will be dead first rain Door trim might need dynamat chunk on backside, mine is spray foam filled behind armrest , contoured after drying to fit and adds some safety in impact bonus lol keeps the sound coming from speakers not every leak in door skin Spray foam is light but messy so beware cant remove without force once dry , wet it sticks to everything and i mean everything haha No photos of your spacers But you could run a dense foam to door panel between speaker not prefered but you could ?

if you have the type R use those again? you can do some mounts on mirrors or a few other spots ( see carbon mirror mounts in the forum ) You can do them fiberglass and paint them ? Or just use the tweeter cups on most splits ? You can drop the 6" in the doors pretty easy , run off that amp !! Thats a bunch of power to just splits , dynamat is must or they will sound crap with that kinda power behind them id run that amp to sub and use mixed mono signal from amp in stereo or deck power on the frionts ( if you want a sub) I would do splits unless your budget is extremely cheap Blaupunkt makes some for about 100 that sound ok ? Jaycar vifa brand is better So many choices depends on your budget, goals, ears, they need to be really decent with that much power !!! Figure about 200watts max capable at least that jaycar amp can drive them beyond 200 watts easy Deck you can get freq fixer to hear aussie music stations Or better dump it for a new deck and not fart with the bad radio reception on jap radios

Spotlight doesnt sell that kind of carpet only thick rugs and a bit of house carpet Any auto trimmers , autobarn sell it , think its about 35 a metre at autobarn for the proper speaker box carpet unbacked so you can pull it tight , dont use thick foam under it , it will get floppy in the heat and looks like. Cat bed Clark sells thin open cell white foam , 6 mm i think it is maybe less use that , cost about 5 bucks to do the parcel shelf , they have other stuff but dont Be tempted some of it is poor for cars and dies in UV here Use proper contact cement ot better is a high strength high temp spray glue , all the ither stuff fails in the sun and heat Dont glue the foam down and carpet , only glue the foam to carpet or foam to wood , otherwise it will bunch up and look horrible Few tricls , and glue the carpet under the board edge trim with razor blade :-) done -

Quicker to build a fiberglass one if you have a factory one as a start , takes about hour to make one tops -
Reverse sensor , a wireless one first choice due to install cost Orherwise ebay , cant compete with made in china brand Mine is a multi sided sensor with display And front and rear cameras (On a side note usa just made it a law to have all new cars from 2013 on have to have rear sensor and video reverse cam) Keyless entry depends on car and current equipment alarm

Most are exactly the same no matter what brand Jaycar same as most others You must setup right and silicone the door slides and some fords have crap ( all fords lol ) door panels , the old ones would rub on the inside of the panel on top where the cardboard wood meets the plastic afterthoughts You can buy some serious ones but they cost a shite load more ( 100 times the price) , actual alloy screw drive instead of worm drive made out of nylon But really I've had some generic ones in a car for over 10 years and they still work perfect Most fail from water or dirt inside Not wear Stinger australia sells the serious ones on ebay under a kustom car modify biz out victoria , i have a 12 inch one to open my boot lid , serious overkill haha it can lift like 150kilos each retail they run about 500 each here if you can find them in 12v most are 24v

What Does One Do When You Get To The Cross Roads?
Carbon 34 replied to SkyHi_33's topic in South Australia
When i look back at the cars i dumped money in and sold too cheap For a woman For bills For house For travel For 4x4 Back to sports car For racing pay to store it Too much Police attention Having to swap emmisions yearly , for sniff test Windows at 5% tint hassle Having to rego it in another state for years to avoid the above , only to be harrassed by that local police and highway patrol why my car rego was in another state Too much hassle sold it to my best friend after 11 years for dirt cheap. Cause i thought he would care for it he crunched the one of a kind body kit on a curb first week , i had just took it to bare metal and repainted it Took hunks out of the new bbs wheels.. put on my old enkie racing only to ruin those too on curbs The next month he siezed the brand new bridgeport racing motor by not checking the oil daily , old rotor oil injection in the webbers used oil about a quart a month , spin it to 11k on 40 degree day = death The car sat rotting and he wouldnt sell it back to me he was going to fix it !! 3 months of labour to take it back to bare metal and fix all the dings and fiberglass cracks He let it sit with 4 other dead rx7 from lack of oil or water till his new wife said dump the cars All 5 went for less then 2k to wholesale wreckers .,, my car had 40k worth or parts at least but i didnt know , it was sold at auction lot his dad did it and had no idea except to get rid of them from his yard I could have cried , it sat out across my street for a long time shattered to rot and then most likely crushed after stripped o all the goodies Today that car would get 50k easy Or my datto 1200 coupes i bought for 75 bucks they sell for 10k now 70 Opel gt with 11,000 miles in it ( found in a backyard the guy who owned it died in vetnam) paid 200 for it so rare now they sell for damn near 20k with 100,000 miles on it Lousy car but still? New cars My v10 dodge 4x4 had the front axle fail 2 weeks after i bought it !!! Second time i put in 4x4 and not flog it either Mitsu vr4 galant blew the rare evo motor at idle threw a balance shaft and under warranty it took 3 months to import a evo motor from japan , they made 2000 of those only for usa rare as hell Mazda 626 new off the showroom floor , radiator cracked after 2 weeks on a trip to texas in the middle of whoop whoop Under warranty but still a hassle worse then a paid for old car cause your still paying for it while it sits for parts Cars are money pits new or used , plan to keep it a long time or sell it and buy a scooter , and pay off the credit. Invest the rest asap or you'll blow it in a heartbeat and have no car or money !! My car doubles as a coffin lol they can bury me in it so its a investment lol Mercum is not the place to buy cars unless your after big dollar cars , lots of auctions hide some great buys once imported back to australia are worth a mint , turn that a few times and you could be smiling quickly and you get a trip to the states bonus ! if you like the TSA at the airport the big dark lady with the painted on uniform from being so tight You only live once so if you enjoy it just finish it No regrets you'll have other things you sell over time and kick yourself later Everyone does Happiness is worth more then money If it doesnt make you happy or money dont do it !! -
Nice work andrew , your little one must be a magnet to promo girls ! Teach em young lol

That box is a isobaric semi single bandpass box hope you ran the speaker wires to the proper phase or it will produce 0 bass or destroy the subs that center chamber better better be sealed perfect too Isobaric boxes loose spl in the name of acurate bass control Best for home use in most cases Those guys at decware have some interesting designs but most wont work in a skyline ( size comstraints) the bass waves wont expand enough and will pressurize the cabin but no bass or little bass until you open the window , the bass waves at 70-80hz and the speed of sound is around 16ft the length of your car and your windshield is about 11-12ft from the boot space in a coupe so the bass waves are stronger outside the car bass travels further then treble Be curious to see how it works for you ive done a few isobaric tubes back in the day and they sounded clean but not a lot of thump and that was in a rx7 hatchback which amplifies the bass from the shape alone Will that box fit it looks pretty big long ? So much for a boot haha all in the name of good sound Going to be a heavy bugger Blaupunkt woofers , dont overdrive them to much or for a long time on 10 and watch the distortion in a mistumed box they will fry quickly , i would use a rta to setup that box since you can slidetune it ? Good to see something a little different ! Let us know the outcome ?

Any Mobile Auto Electricians In Adelaide?
Carbon 34 replied to Miss V35 GT's topic in South Australia
Dont use auto eletrical person , use a car audio specialist Some of the V series cars have blose stereos and that creates a whole can of worms external amps etc Just shit can the factory speakers even 50 cheapies sound better And put in sounddeadner on the doors while the panels off Makes a huge difference in sound and solid feel of rhe car Ministry of bass- st marys , simon Ampl audio-seaford , beau Gt Auto -glynde i think , george Marvey tech - out north john -

Keep it the little bit of money you get from it wont be fark all to invest !! And you will kick yourself later for selling it It doesnt need to be a gtr to make you smile when you drive it !! if you sell it buy a Z tune 34 for investment haha Cars outrun realestate everytime if you know what to buy , buy some old cars from usa ( right pete) economy is crap and great buys around to make money faster then a house will here , the market conditions arent the best for houses right now , beside you can live in the car and drive it , but cant drive a house haha iron chef imports us muscle now ??? Besides the world ends 21-12-12 anyhow lol -

Some decent bands but I hate the tards who go mental at concerts and want to fight all the time !! Yes you would be suprised by my vast taste in music for old fart lol Just no beetles or 50's music yuk
-
Dont use expand a foam for that , its. A Mess and farks up a lot of stuff hard to remove if you need to work on it And can expand enough to crack the outter paint / fiberglass/ plastic spoiler itself It has to be wet to dry which sounds silly but thats how it expands best , it can expand 3 times or more the size needed so beware !!!
-
Ducktape them down ? Or stick a bit of dynamat over them to the bootlid kills the wire noise and deck rattles You can wrap in foam from clark rubber ? Hard to imagine you can hear the thin wires rattling in the boot unless the car is super quite but meh who knows must be something other then skyline the rb would drown out the noise in most cars?

I lol some crazy redneck stuff
