yes lanzar, until a new sponsor comes on board..lol, they sell stuff from the cheap side to the extreme. a new 24,000 watt @.5 ohm spl mono block amps for the bargain price of 24k.....6- O gauge power connections on it and other amps for 60 bucks once again a company that uses someone elses curcuits with lanzar on it. very common these days after the GFC the speakers arent as good as some others but the cost was right..lol its more about the install to make cheap equipment sound good lanzar has been around for the long haul.

its chris rogers , not christine...lol we just like to tease him he can do up something for you or ditch it and do a ipad. car pc is to much work , Ipads can do it all now built in. and can be removable too. seach youtube for soundman, or david fishman, they can show you ipad installs I have dumped the nissan gear and done mine with the things your asking, but if I had to do it now, IPAD or similar. is the way to go. my 3gs iphone is being dumped into my car soon for a game console. etc. in june Iphone 5 come out, if no delays

Focals are made in France not Germany, Made in france link polydax in france makes a lot of speakers for others. not my first choice for that kind of money, actually not even in my top ten for the money some half the cost sound better and perform better IMO Alpine, over rated- type R average speakers , the top of the line aren't made by Alpine, but another company . go with Vifa, Morel, DLS, Dynaaudio, Hertz, SEAS, Rainbow and build your own crossovers to save lots of dosh the vifa from jaycar are just as good or better then Alpine, Focal with proper crossovers/baffles and installed right a 1/4 the cost Audiocontrol DQT like the pair in my car has 31 bands of Digital EQ per speaker with 8 program modes , and 13 volts pre amp out per channel Audison Bit one or 10 is another option new to the marketplace Alpine has one too. MB Quart sounds nice but cost a fair whack for paper cones. . the 3 way splits sound really nice, but a bit harsh on the top end

Those Damn White Plugs In The Centre Console.
Carbon 34 replied to Little's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
in the second photo you can see the little push pin, push the connector tight together, push on the little pin in the middle with a small flat screwdriver to get it past the plastic bar, while pulling the plug apart , sounds funny like you need three hands. but with a little practice you can do it without seeing the plug at all. and don't poke a hole in your hand with the screw driver..lol it should be fairly easy or your doing it wrong. hope that helps the pin is white the bar stopping it is black -

pin extractor, yes your correct in the barb type connection, the pin extractor bends the barb down enough to remove the wire and re-insert again without damage, the pin extractor is much thinner then screwdrivers jaycar sells them and if you ask the nerds(oops salesmen) working there they should show you on a connector how to push it in. it can still be a bugger to undo. make sure you take photos of the plug and even a diagram BEFORE the wires come out.. in case you haven't already a good bright light and a magnifier glass helps see inside it.to know which side to stick the tool in. the tool looks kinda like this one tool link its a test of patience !!!

Car Stereo Doesn't Play Sound At All Now.
Carbon 34 replied to Hanso's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
yeah try what Jenna said...lol I've seen wied problems , like a seat bolt used for grounds that got loose when the cat converter got hot. lost ground to the amp. or a curciut board flexed by the mounting that dead shorts inside the amp if its not flat. without blowing the fuses. amp type ? location under seat ? boot ? what is hooked up on it ? also too much current draw on the blue amp wire for turn on can do strange things, if it runs thru a high level rca convertor that can be another problem ? hook up a mp 3 player to the amp with a rca to headphone wire. low volume, will it play without the radio input ? -

factory or aftermarket deck? aftermarket fuse behind the radio, or cig lighter fuse ? if not its a good excuse to upgrade ..lol -
you can but its a bugger on the sealed plugs, you will need a pin extractor tool and a lot of time on your hands? in most cases your not going to get the wires free on sealed plugs without damage. better off and way quicker by just cutting and soldering . i take it that is a engine bay plug , off a R32-34 ? looks familar ??? or attessa ?

one like this, if chris doesnt have one try jaycar or autobarn I would think chris has one??

the factory alarm on any car sucks, and code hopping ???? no, even the chipped keys , wont stop a crim even RFID can be a problem RFID Explained, many uses in cars now
-
they can have factory alarms but they wont' comply with ADR rules for insurance nor will they stop a scum , don't buy a min alarm for a skyline, and don't hook up a remote start or turbo timer function. you need one that is compliant to the ADR rules for alarms and then add more to that asap to stop it from being stolen. just look at the SA forums, every other week 5-10 go missing nothing is safe these days. SCUMBAGS who steal cars !!!!!! read the PDS for shannons, Just cars has the similar requirements for coverage Shannons PDS link

I wouldn't answer WHAT KIND OF ALARM questions, in public. but only if it had one and was it armed. alarms are deterents, not a final mechinism to stop a thieve who wants your car, if they want it, they will get it no matter what. !!!!!! even GPS can be thwarted if they know its inside the car. the key is mutiple layers of security and a 100% of it in use every single time you stop your car, even in your garage. lots of common sense where you drive and park it and CAR INSURANCE !!!!!

give Phatt Audio Customs a call in braeside , ask for brett or sam I'm sure they can point you straight

option audio is good, they're made by a chinese firm, and rebranded you would be shocked to see how many brands are the same amps. when you run amps mixed mode, the passive crossover uses up some of the power. not much but some.and the cost of a coil or two for a sub exceeds the savings on the amps splits in the doors, tweeeter near the mid for staging amps I'd sugguest depending on budget and where you buy, (50-150watts per channel max)4 channel amp with active crossover (most have that built in ) run the fronts off the amp, bridge the rear channels to feed to the sub somewhere in the 200-300 watts of clean max power should push it good even up to 500 watts max/peak but then you might void your warranty on the sub. the box needs to be right. the voltage needs to stay above 12v the signal can't be distorted a lot and it won't play all day long at max volume, or kiss it good bye from a burnt voice coil in no certain order Rockford Fosgate Orion Kicker Option Audio lanzar opti or pro MTX earthquake JL - same guts as MB quart on lower models. Percision Power- no sedona series Soundstream Directed Hifonics Alpine US Audio old stuff, blue , purple, red models. often on ebay cheap. these have guts from a major SPL brand in them Jaycar , often overlooked but same guts/heatsink as option audio on older models, 1st place winner in major car mag. saw one on clearance just the other day for your price range. Pionneer- upper models Kenwood -upper models Clarion - give chris rogers a call for those Boss audio , mid models and up are cheap and ok for some basic installs heaps more but I'd be wrong pointing you to websites that sell these cheap, transshippers can create problems for local biz in USA and OZ and voids warranties etc. call around, and find a decent installer. don't forget your wiring will cost around 40 bucks in kit form min.

Older Style Pop Out Dvd Players Buyer Beware
Carbon 34 replied to Yts's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
mosr radios arent worth fixing, unless its a easy fix, the cost of radios has fallen so much and so many new features its not worth fixing old junk, imo
