more power then that, you would be disapointed and sony isn't my first choice in amps or even in top 20 choices the sub needs about 300watts RMS but more is better then less. to a point that is,and get a proper box for it. not generic if possible. a 2 channel amp like this can run the whole car with the right passive crossovers installed. and proper ohm loads but the power is meager at best. hate to say it but import a amp from usa is a huge cost saver right now. even with shipping. just select a good one cause the warranty will most likely be void here. I'd look for something name brand , 4 channel, 150 a channel at 4 ohms , you can do a ton of ways to set it up depending on what your goals are and how loud you want it. ?

How To Get To The Rear Speakers In R34 25Gt Sedan
Carbon 34 replied to thejedilestat's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
this is missing hints like cussing about how the complaince guys bolted the baby bolts in the car. and smashed the speaker grills by slamming bolts thru them, its like that ona few cars. and this only covers sedans, the coupe is different slightly -
orange r33 booting it extremely hard in the city on the weekend, think it was near mile end. on a holiday weekend no less and looked like a car full of people in it. not a good example for SAU ? silver stag with red stripe tires, on beach road black stag at supercheap, hey mate did you get new front guards ? black r33 with chrome wheels on states rd black r33 4 dr same spot black supra parked on salsbury highway, salsbury way, suprised it was there still the next day in one piece, too nice for roadside parking lots of old cars out cruising a pair of GTT on south rd heading towards salsbury on the weekend. and one parked on the roadside /sidewalk sunday am. on south rd.

saw it yesterday in vmax , only in vmax or gold class at marion , funny thing it was put out early in OZ , it wasn't supposed to come out till june. now the USA gets to wait till the 29th for it.lol agree stay until the lights come on, or you will miss something after the credits I liked it but its getting a bit of a cops and robbers and loosing the cars culture aspect that made it so famous. check the rust in the dodge chargers wheel wells in one scene. and since when would paul walker drive a silver stock looking car ???? damn hot chicks in it. mops up drool Andrew some of us don't use fail book...., so posting a link is a waste to some of us.

The US fm bands are the same as OZ, in japan they use a different freq modulation. which is why jap cars with jap radios have band expanders japanese radios go from 76–90 MHz Just about Everwhere else 87.5 to 108.0MHZ some older russian countries had another band 65.8–74 MHz but don't think you will find a decent radio from russian..haha it gets very confusing but it works on a sub carrier, which is why you can sometimes hear stations off the normal freq range. depending on weather etc. in usa we used to pick up a radio station in finland on weird weather days, , and it is nearly half a world away. its called Radio wave propagation Explanation of how it works oh and in some UK countries they plan on shutting off FM analog transmissions in 2015 so DAB will it. but the world ends in 2012 anyhow ...haha

you could check into the new HItv double din, it has most if not all of the features you want and prob won't cost a mint. HITV

Can An Audio/alarm Install Affect Nistune?
Carbon 34 replied to are bee's's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
doubt it, even disconnecting the battery etc wouldnt harm the ECU unless it the car was jumpstarted without fusable links or fuses in it ? or shorted out. while probing wires using a old test light instead of a DMM I would suspect a bad solder joint or plug in the ECU , not related to the install, just a coincidence now if they did remote autostart then it could be a possibility , a rare one but ???? what electrics don't work now , it could show where the fault lies -
both of the guys in youtube are certified master installers, fishman is old like me and only does crazy mad installs, you know 100k or more in a car audio system kind., I started .... you know the 8 track tape deck with house speakers sub days. and a radio shack homemade amp pushing 40 watts max, and 100% distortion soundman is a bit nuts but most installers get that way and enjoy the work , long hours of sitting with your head under a dash will do that to you, but these guys goof around and cross the gross barrier a few times. but when it comes to installs they do good work , not perfect,,,, but above average for sure. in usa you have so many shops, and retail stores doing lousy installs. it drives you mad fixing up mistakes on a 100k car because a doctor wanted to save 20 bucks on installlation. nice to meet you rowan. I think I should write a car audio book ....lol I could start on how to install a 8 track , and build your own 40 watt amp from parts from radio shack..hahaha

pretty sure you can say its a swap market special, a guy in canada had one and it came from the flea market does the remote look like this one..lol I'd dump it asap, and buy a real ADR approved model
-
the bands are the same, the jap radio freq, differ but the sat, nav wont work(in most cases ) , neither will the siruis sat, radio or pandora program for iphone .and warranty is voided , radios no, but with the dollar being so high now amps, subs etc could be way cheaper. its going to put a pressure on local shops to drop prices as well, so shop around.

if you apply the tyre gel to all your black parts first the white wax wont stick to it. M105 is a ultra buffing compound, but even with just that on the car it will shine , the 105 is what you don't want on the trim, or to dry to much. make sure you have lots of light when you do it. on white cars its hard to see until its a day old. buffer time...lol a real detailer tapes off the window trim anyhow, cause a buffer will scuff the rubber or worse tear it off. you don't need to go crazy with tape, just make sure its the blue painters tape or you will be cleaning glue for months. on a side note, if you want to strip the wax off before starting from scratch, wax and grease remover works a treat and is safe on most things. I've used it on a tessarosa to remove interior , carpet parts, (italians glue friggan everything on the car ) it can discoulour cast plastic sheets, if used on the plastic door panels , retreat them asap with protectant, it takes them to a extremely dried out look. and prob, wouldnt be good for them long term. do not use it on fresh paint or rattle can paint, it will strip it off. hear is a link to answer more questions Megs, FAQ

its been done many times already, Search for soundman car audio or fishman(dave) car audio in YOUTUBE they have tonnes of videos with them. dave the fishman is old school from my days in audio, in 1984 I think, and he made it big with a fishtank in his Acura, some crazy installs from us old farts. The guys at soundman have been selling premolded fiberglass ipad mounts for many cars, ipad 2 as well in case you haven't heard SAMSUNG is being sued in a big way by APPLE for galaxy products, and ipad look alikes, after testing one it is a dead ringer for my iphone, but sucks even more ..lol you don't need a radio if you use a ipad, they have apps for it. and digital outputs too. shame we can't get Pandora in australia. you have to use a american credit card and address grrrrrrr search itunes for it. its amazing

Megs M105 will take out most bad spots, can be used by hand or machine and is paint shop safe. but not cheap, nearly 100 bucks a bottle for 32 oz but last for a long time , really you could do a lot of cars for the price of one bottle and share the cost around. ??? I would compare it to maybe a 6000 gritt wet sandpaper if one existed. cuts but doesn't harm the paint or clear coats . unless you have had a respray , then becareful, the resprays can be dodgy, like anything test a small spot first. scratch X 2.0 would be a cheaper choice for minor scratches or swirls, used on my metallic black Monte carlo VR4 with better results then 100 dollar a bottle zymoil, but damn zymoil smells good..haha DO NOT USE these on a hot car or in sunlight. (on a perfectly dry car only a tiny bit of water can make a mess ), do a small area at a time. use painters tape on anything black/trim, or matte painted. if you use a buffer, or make a mess by hand. if you don't remove it asap, it will be nearly impossible by hand to remove M105 , it will buff off the paint on washer nozzles too, beware. it's not a deep nasty cut like kitten paste but it will remove acid rain from a osaka shipping yard. or even plastic burn marks from trolleys hitting your car. and finger nail marks from under handles. if you use a buffer, don't use wool , use two proper foam pads, one to apply, one to remove with micro towel finish

R33 Gts Central Locking And Immobileiser
Carbon 34 replied to ermi's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
not stock as chris said the power locks are stock with a aftermarket interface -
Turbo timers are a defect, not ADR compliant. just drive normal for the last few min and use synthetic oils, idle for a min while you gather your stuff and you should be fine. don't flog it then shut it down or the turbo can sludge up from burning oil.

not asking for much are you..lol that unit isn't recommended I would look at the big brands, Pioneer, Alpine, Clarion, but navigation is going to cost you a fair whack pushes you over a grand in most cases . what your describing is a eblow radio(under 500), which is fine but won't perform these tricks exactly, I use a Audiocontrol overdrive to push my signal up, to 13volts per RCA channel instead of the aftermarket radio output.and it maintains that thru all the processors to the amps. each item has signal clipping meters on them. depending on your current setup you may need additional parts, to reconfigure dash. a/c etc. and dont expect the radio trim rings to fit right, not many do. get a pro to install it if you want it done right, where are you located , and I take it its a R34 , dash photo ?

turtle wax, is cheap crap(sorry shane) , in usa its the same as kitten in quality. sorry but it can do a number on your paint over time. depends on if its s dark car or white. different products work better . Really there is hundreds of product brands out there. monky shine has wax that cost 24,000 dollars a bottle(not a typo ) , and kitten is 2 bucks from cheap as chips... and Megs is actually 3M now, 3M is who makes all the pro stuff for Megs anyway. the old man Berry Meguar sold out Megs soap, the NXT stuff or the new yellow one works fine.lots of smell good suds, and slick on the paint, NEVER USE A SPONGE !!!!!! use a microfiber towel.and swap often , dry your car in a cool spot, without a hot engine, adelaide water is torture on paint, creates bad water spots I use pro products from Megs , gold class works average at best, NXT is better but still won't last, and synthetic so you can't paint around it... the pro stuff (from rare spares ) is used for the buffer MEGS M105 to take out imperfections about $100 32 0z botttle. nothing compares for buffing japans acid rain, etc. and I use a few other products fromt he pro line of a few companies. but clay bar,a high shine wax. and paint sealer. once its done right it stays shiny for ages , just a rinse and dry Megs tire gel on all black outside bits.and hoses. lasts for months Megs dash foam, smells yum and works a treat Megs air freshner orange cleaner for the seats and mats , unless they get too messy, then the cleaner you use in extractors for carpet, from woolies. headlights MEGS M105 or aircraft lexan polish, or 3000 grit wet sand then M105 for perfection on bad lights tinted windows, nothing with amonia. Megs or eagle one glass cleaner works good. , vineger and news print can scratch your glass over time. , then use glass wax to keep them smooth.you can clay bar windows too. if needed. clay bars come in different aggesiveness if you didn't know ?? and aways use mist of either spray detailer or no water spray wash for lube while clay bar wheels , either megs or mother wheel cleaner , purple bottle from Megs. farcala is decent my paint sealer is a secret but it is cheap around 20 bucks and works a treat for up to a year on garaged cars .made local too you can put a cig out on the paint without damage to it. once your car is done, its a quick process to shine up under 20 min , the first go round takes 6-10 hours if you use a buffer and take off acid rain etching. so stock up on beers first. oh and some newer skylines use SUPERHARD paint, mostly 2000 S2 R34 and on .... look at your paint codes first. the super hard is a bastard to buff. supercheap has bulk microfiber cloths cheap,I paid 25 last week for 25 of them.... orange ones , when on sale they come out to a buck a towel, work awesome expect to spend 100 -200 on gear but it lasts a long time. the usa Megs forum is a wealth of information for free, a direct line to the people who make the products and worldwide pros self healing paint is coming on the newest nissans next year I think.

Help! Identify These Wires Please
Carbon 34 replied to kamakazi1122's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
bad photos can't count the pins, is it 11 pins or ? but I'd guess and only a guess a CD changer or external amp from the factory. depends on what radio it has in it or had in it in japan????? if I can find my CD changer from my car I'll look at the plug which is a clarion or panasonic unit if I remember right you could test each wire to see if it had power and what voltage you might find the plug on here maybe, but don't assume anything , if you pull up the rear seat or yank the gear surround to see if it comes up to the radio, Pinout guide
