there are much better options in that price range, unless your Alpine only loyal you can have extremely loud and clean , depends on the quality of the install a lot

thats a bold comment, directed electronics make some of the best products on the market !!!! if you have the talent to wire them up right ?, failure rates are extremeley low which is why they have a lifetime warranty on most (not batteries ) parts , 99% of the time bad wiring job or remote thru a washing machine is the issue. take it back to the place that installed it ??? they would sort it out quickly first guess, no antenna connection or its been cut/taped on steel after someone worked on the car ,which = no range on remote, second, lost programming by fiddling around with a few things with the key on , is it a new remote??? changed the remote or car battery lately, remote battery is it in the right way? a newer viper won't unlock if it see's mutiple alarms in close proximity being armed or disarmed. the upper models will vibrate or chirp the transmitter when that happens(anti code scanning protection) sometimes the on off button gets mashed inside by you pushing on it too hard or crap in your pockets, if it can be unscrewed have a look at it on the inside , the little pin behind the button , mushroomed ??? or missing ?? does it work by pushing the little rubber button with the case off? if so buy a new case or remote if you have two remotes try the other one?? if not does it have any error code beeps or flashes ? might be a scrambled brain if you jump started the car ? but if a DEI Authorized pro installed it ?? DEI will swap the brain no fuss most of the time

for that much, neither..lol but type X if you must , they make a few models of type X so it depends on what you want for sound in the end.

jack under the fake frame rails (nearly even with the front of the door jamb )but behind the split or it will crush in slowly or you can jack up the car one side at a time and put them under the crossmembers, my car is so stiff I can floor jack up 1 side and 3 wheels come off the ground..lol oddest thing to see ever... but not real safe to be under..lol

just ditched my apexi pod for stock box and hi flow panel sound = not so mean... but pulls better then a heat soaked pod now to remake the intake snorkel into a wide mouth carbon fibre funnel and create headlight cover with flow direction into the snorkel ??? increase the lid top intake velocity/flow by doubling the hole size and smooth/direct flow inside the box

Audio Install, Now Have No Light To Cluster.
Carbon 34 replied to SHROOMZone's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
cluster (LED's ?) or globes, did you put in LED's ??? at the same time LED's can only work one direction, hence the name light emitting" DIODE" globes on the other hand , should work , if you get no dash lights, you don't have a dimmer hidden anywhere ???? some cars have them fitted aftermarket if they didn't come with one otherwise no fuse damage, most likely means a burned trace on your circuit board behind the gauges. without doing some testing I would say you put 12volts to ground and the current fried the board trace. acting like a fuse. but without seeing it first hand I would STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR , HAND THE KEYS TO A PRO to sort out, and don't attempt further repairs sorry ....sounds harsh. but then so is a car fire -

in response to your PM Passive crossover place in door or rear deck near speakers in most cases secure crossovers and confirm the window doesn't hit them ,no water enters the case, door panel still goes on ok ??? on the crossover you will see, input - input + use a speaker wire from the amp right or left channel to the positive to positive, negative to the negative (if you use existing car speaker wires, run amp wires to the radio and connect behind deck so you don't run wires into the doors, more detailed so PM me for that info) the woofer on the crossover has - + as well, that goes to the mid range terminals on the speaker the tweeter has the same, just use care on the positive to positive of each speaker and amp or you will loose bass if you don't pay attention to which is which and if you do it on random speakers it will sound weird. time delayed almost(out of phase delays) also use care on tweeters the terminals are easy to break off or melt with soldering irons. if you need more help I would seek a pro to install the speakers for you , depending on your skill levels see Chris Rogers as above, he is in Brissy?? if you get stuck

Audio Install, Now Have No Light To Cluster.
Carbon 34 replied to SHROOMZone's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
you did it wrong, I'd say..lol blown fuse ??? you don't have a constant power wire to keep memory on the radio ? which is why you have to reset every time you shut off the power and more then likely used a instrument lighting wire for the ground, they will show ground until you flick on the power to the lights.? you might want to have a pro do it if you stuffed it already once. warranty doesn't include fried from being hooked up wrong ????? and airbags in the face or dead ECU is a expensive mistake ?? -
Roof is a big one , on my car the sunroof rattled like a bastard even without a stereo. did the headliner in new black suede so that helped tighten the whole thing up nicely bit weird driving a car with a black roof liner now....lol after the crappy gray one..hahaha all the other bits are black too, mirror, visors, etc

depends is it a speaker crossover or a RCA(Powered X over ) your x over will have input screws , if your trying to create your own, pm me

and many times the alarm backup battery(if it has one) will be shagged as well if you drain the main battery down a few too many times when you have a full charge on the battery if you pull off one of the battery cables it should go off, if it gets alot quieter then normal the alarm battery is shagged too. (just replace a R31 siren cause of this very reason) but then again the alarm was 9 years old too..lol

as chris said not wise to create car alarm guides for thieves alot of the guides posted online are for USA made cars, not JDM or Australian models your bike wiring job, no comment

How To Fix Distorted Speakers In R32
Carbon 34 replied to r32man09's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
first guess - look at the speakers in the boot up close, baby bolts hitting the wires, loose speaker wires hitting the metal of the car from rear speakers area(aftermarket decks don't like using the car body for the ground on the speaker wires too many OHMS..lol), tinsel leads that go from the speaker connection to the speaker coil touching metal , re-bend carefully. or simply the factory paper cone speakers are cracked on the cone from being old and in the UV sun all day, if they make a rough sound the voice coils might be fried, you can tell if you carefully push on the cone with even force to move it in and out, if you feel grinding, dirty feel its most likely dead. (OHM meter can tell you as well) cracked cones, ditch them for some new ones, you don't need to spend a mint to improve over factory..lol ' next option would be the deck wiring is stuffed , most likely a "tape the wire together" job that has come loose and now shorts out random ? -
How To Fix Distorted Speakers In R32
Carbon 34 replied to r32man09's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
is it distortion(music that sounds funny/muddy/popping) or static electricity sounds/whine type of deck ? stock or after market ? if it has a old type rotary volume knob it can be a problem if the car was smoked in or driven in lots of dust amps ? sound more like a bad wiring/circuit board if a bump in the road fixes it have you faded the speaker to each one separate and tested to be sure its not just one speaker your hearing ? more info please -
