  1. you can reuse a lot of the sat nav items, translation too
  2. most likely the antenna in the rear de- mister area then or mutipath from nissan diversity antenna idea (worthless) in adelaide, if your unit has a local distance button put it on local in town? where in town does it happen? expressway ,airport, cbd ?????
  3. oh you got the one in a prebuilt box the part number is unboxed one , and yes its a Dual voice coil sub wired in parallel inside, if you use a stereo amp it has to be 1 ohm stable it won't play the sub bridged and survive, you must use a mono amp that can take a 2 ohm load , something like a digital mono block do some shopping around you can find better prices so no cheap amps..lol
  4. normal cost is near 200USD, and being alloy it's lighter. even my supercheap special lifts the R34 rear end or front end with ease. so this one would be even easier since its a race jack it lifts with a few pumps. sure these cost a pretty penny in oz in alloy ? I shipped two huge sub woofers from usa for like 60 bucks insured. they weighed a shite load too
  5. I worked in a high end shop in USA and one of the other seasoned installer's torched a ECU for a 959 Porsche with 0 miles on it, funny enough it controlled everything and cost a boat load to replace.all from the use of a 2 buck "test light" to try to interface with a after market alarm...... lets say he didn't get a paycheck for a month to cover it.
  6. most likely a dead cell in the battery or low current on it. or bad wire on the ground of battery, power fuse-able link wires on the positive side of battery loose terminals ? if the battery is older then a few years most likely shot. jap battery, most likely dead. most likely only 9-10volts on it, or the current output is too low.
  7. make sure your sub box is the same specs as required by the woofer, or they fail easy. don't under power it either. lets see, you can get something for 100 bucks or $10,000 that will power it. but shoot for around 600-800 RMS , if you like it loud you can go bigger but beware the sub can fry if the box/port is wrong check out these pioneer deals, direct from them Pioneer any of the mono or two channel models on the bottom will do the trick 4ohm load per voice coil in stereo or in voice coils wired in parallel is a 2 ohm load to a mono amp, so make sure the amp can handle the loads or another option but not a perfect one, wire in series, which = 8ohms mono and bridge a two channel amp on the load , the amp will see a 4ohm load in that case(can sound a bit muddy that way) presuming you got the dual 4ohm coil model not the 2ohm one ? they have both ? or even both coils wired(4ohm dvc) in parallel on a bridged 2 channel amp, that can handle a 1ohm load in stereo , when bridged it becomes that load (I run mine off a old 4 channel amp bridged to each sub. a 1ohm load on each coil to the amp. ) 75 watts rms at 4ohms ,,,990 max at just under 1 ohm) pm me if you get stuck ..lol
  8. this is the tool mecca, but confirm price to ship Alloy low profile jack
  9. no ....they get mixed reviews in most tests reports and feedback and for a few bucks more you can find much better. sorry to be so blunt follow the box size specs in instructions or it will fail.
  10. todays test, what kinda car is this ? one that needs a run around the bedroom, what the hell were you looking at ??? ...lol
  11. is anyone going down to spectator on Sunday? maybe roll up together ??? anyone have events list, they sent me worthless info from autosalon about stage times...grrrr
  12. don't laugh but they do make something similar to this commercially, it fills the cabin with smoke so dense you cant see shite. won't stain and doesn't smell. and can be reused . smoke car alarm there are other nasty party tricks you can play but I'm sure in this country your ass will go to jail, cause crims have more rights then you do trying to protect your property. need a "make my day" law here.. like usa...lol
  13. it's a sales gimmick,,, they sell rubbish , worse then ebay stuff. and setup for most new US cars not OZ
  14. most of the time its going to happen with any radio, multipath is a huge problem with "Nissan diversity antennas" they suck ass on a good day before blaming the radio I would look at the antenna connection, most are hacked up when they bring them into OZ. to put on freq.converters. and without a good ground plane refuse to get a decent signal. or they might just have a loose jack ? setup on local or distance switch ???? you can get a stick on grid antenna similar to the rear defroster grid for a replacement or go old school and get a EVO,BMW,MERC roof mount instead ?
  15. nothing a flatbed won't fix
  16. I was in the background fishing in tangles sunset shot...tried to get his attention ..lol but he drove off to soon
  17. this is a old idea, and easy to get passed if you have the know how. to get passed it in most cases take's a part that cost less then a dollar if you know how to do it. and transponder ones can be bypssed as well. OEM factory has no clue how to stop car theft. they run about 10 years behind the curve which is why most car insurance companies want you to buy a better alarm then factory .
  18. yeah I'm sure it was. I think your car would either be the wine r33 or the blueish purple r33 I see all the time..lol off states rd, hackam/MV area
  19. acetone on one side of the plastic wall , fire extinguisher on the other..hmmmmm in case of fire please wait for the exit to melt before extinguishing or do you just like to sniff the fumes without loosing a drop..lol and when your done you can give the stuff to the local meth lab to help reduce his setup costs..lol
  20. R34 would most likely be mine. heading back up the hill
  21. If you buy the right type deadener you can paint over it with normal auto paints, some of it never dries 100% so beware, that isn't the kind to use and fumes can be there for weeks until the car is in the sun and baked a bit.best if you can leave it open but alarmed still in a locked garage to air out at first funny enough some of my worse rattles came from my sunroof when closed ??? and the car chassis is so stiff now it goes on two wheels (one front.. one rear ) upon entry to car parks, looks and feel funny as hell. thank god for nismo lsd or I'd get stuck mid air...lol you can't see much besides the under-carriage deadener everything else is hidden and yeah JRM catch me at auto salon if you want to chat , my car isn't showing but will be there for photos. be at in the rest of the shows this year displaying
  22. why would anyone want the factory jap radio,,, except for a doorstop ? lol or for a trade in when you sell the car
  23. this has been discussed a few times on here. huge arrays of ways to stop a car. as Chris said, but another version is your cig lighter is your passkey..lol no cig lighter with the right curcuit, no car start or radio kill switch for the mechanics who like to blast your subs while working on your car. then hand you keys back and say your speakers were dead when you arrived..
  24. pull off the front and rear bar and a few choices include, spray on sound deadener. or another couple of product's which will remain a trade secret..lol all automotive safe and actually improves the impact safety a bit, take a lot longer to apply and shape to fit forget to add, do your rego plates as a priority... they will rattle a lot
  25. most retarded idea ever,,,imo LPG blows unless your BBQ'n
