  2. pop the molding off and use a piano wire on two pieces of wood for handles to slice off the silicone, easy as hell just go slow and get some help to carry them off the car to avoid flex push the wire thru the silicone, wind onto the two sticks on each end and walk it around the edge of the glass a brick works but leaves a bit of a mess..hahahah
  3. telecomm omnibudsmen , they fixed up my phone, bill with op'tard 3G I still use them but I now have better service levels and my 3rd free unlocked phone, Iphone but like some of you noticed the service the past few days has sucks donkey balls, 1 or 2 bars in town and the random no ring but missed calls and your sadly mistaken if you think Telstra will fix your problems, my work phone was just as bad if not worse Australia gets farked when it comes to cell phone bills, in USA unlimited calls is dirt cheap they all suck..lol

  6. Ministry of BASS in St Mary's is a sponsor of SAU SA and think you get a discount ...see simon he can fix ya up I'm sure
  7. DNA stuff is fine, they're is about 100 brands of deadener, some re branded beware of some underlays/foams etc, they hold water and rust soon follows, , also some rot in UV ,not fire safe either. the jaycar tar backed stuff does fall off if you do not prep the car first, not as forgiving as the name brand stuff. make sure you clean the area with wax and grease remover before hand with any brand deadener and roll it on during a warm day or with a light dose of heat gun or hairdryer to make it flat and stick really good. remember heat and flamables /fumes don't mix so do it with good ventilation to prevent flash fires
  8. go see Tom at autopro reynella, they pro detail in the shop
  9. 240Z convertible with a full roll cage in it, on south road. sounded nice. L24 and some triple webbers maybe ? blue/purple R33, near beach rd.
  10. be nice if we could get that many cars out in one spot again like a real car club . ?
  11. subwoofers use Mono signals for mono amps, you don't need two RCA in most cases. on the amp case you might have two inputs but inside it mixes the signal for you. if you feel inclined you can use a rca splitter to go from one to two outputs ? since I have no idea what your using for sub amps I can only make suggestions. not exact configuration instructions
  12. think we have hashed this subject a few hundred times now...lol use the search function those Black Death "Vibe" brand speakers are new to OZ, been around England for a while now. there not any better then average gear. just something new style wise.

  18. I think Alpine is overrated but sells well, decent stuff ... with pretty blue lights...lol(my old demo car was Alpine V Powered car 5 amps 15 speakers yadda yadda, 145db, broken windows..lol, subs on fire belting out smoke from the voice coils..lol a 10" is fine to belt out over 130db at least... in a small car it will still pound hard with a good box 1000 watts, hell I could use 10,000 but thats just me..lol I like it loud and clear..lol most of the time a few hundred watts is enough, build a proper tuned box , use less power to make the same or better sound I could make a 6 inch or 8 smoke a 12" sub in a bad box, used to demo a dual 6 box next to a 15" box, ceiling tiles would fall down with 20 watt amp. people thought it was the 15" box.. wrong it was the dual 6" in a 7th order bandpass box(dual reflex box) not much bigger then a boot(shoe) box I'm sick of Type R stuff..lol .... there are lots of better choices , some much cheaper too..? 6x9 is rubbish ,,,,, any brand 6 x9 !!! build a mount for 6.5 splits instead
  19. I think he meant, Velcro it won't hold it , in a accident it will find its' way forward in a big way a bracket to metal with proper bolts, rear deck , bracket behind the carpet into the computer bracket area fiberglass box into the side panel is better but still needs attachment, eblow boxes aren't the best ones easy to take out for track day , easy to take out for thieves ???
  20. NO it's doesn't meet standards. and it's not enough security to protect it from anything
  21. there is a slap happy slightly correct way to install, 90% of the shops do those. for a quick buck !! who looks under the dash ? who would know what there looking at ??? those shops are all too common and don't let a mate install it, unless there a pro !!! and then there is the well thought out, very very hidden, Soldered wires, taped to be nearly impossible to find or remove triple redundancy circuits you name it sensors on everything!!! finely tuned to stop false alarms, effective customer knowledge of use, installers who spend the time to do it right and will back up what they install 100% for life of ownership( except failure of unit, a few have lifetime warranty even on the unit if pro installed) the best alarm is only as good as the customer's common sense. leave a ipod on the seat, bang kiss it goodbye, smash and dash I had a shite box 100 dollar car broken into for 4 bucks of shrappnel in the drink holder. mind you they sliced there arm extremely bad judging from the blood trail. so nothing is sacred in oz. worse then America by far!!!!
  22. a few bimbos reviewing stuff(PC games on the one I saw..lol). guess scantily dressed women can sell better..hahahaha Pimp.tv
  23. It's not that simple.. lol your amp current might still be pretty healthy at 750watts. depending on the power efficiency , class D draws less in the form of wasted heat in most cases. I use my stock R34 Alternator with nearly 3000 watts of power (@ 1 ohm )to the stereo and heaps of other gadgets to run, neons,LED's LCD's etc , and I do like it loud,,,lol so it can work if your careful either way update the wires to 0ga and grounds fixed up, new decent battery, maybe a additional capacitor next and you should be ok if you drive your car often and never run it flat . won't be optimum but from there it gets lots more expensive, sound deadener to lower the noise floor, then you won't have to turn it up so loud to hear it.
  24. really it can get extremely expensive to upgrade or rewind the old alternator. also upgrade the wire from the battery to the Positive pole of the alternator in 4Ga(good for about 150amps max) , and ground the case as well with 4 ga don't expect to sit in the park with the engine off blasting tunes unless you want to walk home, even for a few as little as 10 min might kill it and your lights will dim on big bass and possibly the Computer will get wonky if the voltage gets to low. engine misfires or stalls are common on low voltage if you run A/C,Lights, Fan, etc you might have some issues if you like the music loud. but in most cases you can get by with a bit of common sense short trips with tunes up will kill your battery, not able to charge back up, and not good for it to deep cycle over and over either. don't overlook your battery terminals either !!! I would ditch the battery for a much better one, odyssey or yellow top, AGM or spiral wound gel battery with 850cca or better
