  1. depends on how far from outer space you are...lol mine uses a glass mount powered antenna, and hidden (digital tv) DVB-T,GPS antenna mounted under the carbon fibre dash TV insert. you can take a look here for options, Aeropro antenna website a lot of these can be used on a Skyline.
  2. I think you can find what you need over here. Mitsu lancer forum can't vouch for the accuracy of the content on this site so bewarned the lancer is easy to install a radio in, most just use the factory ISO bracket and factory screws, use a prewire plug if the harness hasnt been cut before. and solder and tape the wires if know how ? don't break the dash parts they can be $$$ and hard to find, they changed the dash textures slightly mid years , just enough so they don't match....lol
  3. see the bolt in the upper left corner, it screws into the metal bracket behind the carpet cover and scotty doo I hope that fuse isn't the one for the battery . you do have one up front very near the battery don't you ??? if not your asking for a massive car fire(unless your battery is in the back of the car now ?) you don't have to give up so much space. the amp can get a lot closer to the seat back , but don't put the power wires too near the computers in the back if you can help it.
  4. pretty sure they run 6.5 speakers in front and rear just watch the depth on the front ones on sedans . dont hack the rear deck for 6 x9 rubbish you might need to make some MDF rings to fit speakers or buy some plastic spacers depending on speaker brand/type and a little dynomat behind them to stop the boombox in the bathroom sound quality on the thin doors
  5. you can put them there, but make sure you can still get to the wires etc on the fuel pump if it dies and dont drill into the floor = fueltank , or behind the side panels there is heaps of room, but you better know how to mount them without denting or piercing the outside metal skin. and then you can hide them completely or false floor above spare tyre. don't recommend ditching the spare for audio gear unless its a show car only side panels in rear seat area has a bunch of room behind the "flux capacitor" panels(the one with all the bolts holding them on..lol) but stear clear of seat belt pre-tensioners on the reels. (yellow wires) under front seats, not a real good spot on that car depends on size, heat, your goal, to hide them or show them off, expense to do right, skills if you do it yourself ? lots of factors

  13. hmmm, to be honest I wouldn't go your route with a butt load speakers, you can drown out the noise of any motor with a properly designed system and enough power. less then half as many speakers could sound twice as good if designed right ???? that box is going to sound horrible, looks like all the drivers share the same airspace, bad, bad idea!! yes 6x9 speakers suck end of rant, Kevlar speakers can sound muffled to people, they need proper tuning to sound right that is a lot of worthless magnet weight and will be exaggerated on cornering g load not the best for a ski boat of that size. like dragging another skier around all the time T off the wiring, depends on which wires your talking about ? I hope you know how to figure OHM load wiring correctly or the problems will get much worse ? seriously I would rethink what your planning and do it right ?? your going to be much happier end the long run ? IMO
  14. JVC, crap , worse then ebay radios Ebay, hit or miss quality . but for the price versus features is hard to beat ??, BUT !! lousy graphics on the display, some Freq. output specs are way off base. noisy motors ,some shipped with 2006 GPS maps trial versions only ?? but warranty service seems to be ok. (some cars featured in professional sound offs use them, so not as bad as people think.... if your using outboard amps, preamp, processors) single din units (foldout LCD) are trouble, steer clear of them a lot of name brands have lowered prices to compete with ebay radios in the double din market. so do your homework first

  20. bit silly to hand out stickers to non club members , if they get caught doing stupid tricks on the road it associates all of us to them ? and our stance is to take it to the track, responsible driving ???? make the general stickers different to paying member's??? just a thought

  22. pathetic wheel lock, don't know about you but I would forget its on my car until it tore my fender off..lol
  23. you have dodgy wires, first look at the radio, to see if a "loopback" is wired , cig lighter is a common one ,the power your describing is looping back into the ignition switch side of things, does your fan come on too ? its getting power from the opposite side of the ignition switch to have the ability to keep things on after the door is open and key is out ? could be a stuck relay on the alarm ? or if the battery was replaced they might not of hooked up all the wires, look around the battery for dangling wires, they might be to charge a relay on a dodgy install? really hard to say without digging under the dash and battery area... but dodgy exists somewhere ..lol small chance your ignition switch is dead and cross shorted behind it
  24. hope you have poly cones or waterproof type speakers ?, most speaker failures are from spray and sand in the voice coils or sun damage and why in the world would you have such a odd combination of 4 6x9 and 4 6.5 ??? 4 6.5 and a sub bridged off the amp would be better sounding and weight less in the end. mount the rockford amp up out of the way as high up as you can get it "within reason" and mount it on rubber feet or it will die, they dont tend to like the vibration of a boat for long before the board connections fail on them... and one drop of water inside =dead amp and remember if you silicone everything, one day you will need to take it apart, that makes a big pain in the ass, and some silicone can promote corrosion on certain metals a properly designed system should provide a good 15 years of service if your careful and don't sink the boat...long story from the installer files. (soundstream amps full of sand..lol)
  25. yep that was me.. spotted a white r33 behind me when I turned from beach rd but it headed straight towards the sea where were you hiding ????
