  1. good old insurance, I moved closer to town (the dirty south = ghetto ) and it doubled the monthly cost. had to nego to get it lowered to only 20.00 a month more then aldinga beach and value has fallen by 600 bucks without warning. but agreed value is still really high, 29,400. (shannons) end rant. time to move again...lol
  2. black r33 with a for (carsales)sale sign in the rear quarter on states rd... just about 15min ago white r33 with tinted windows on goodwood rd about hour ago
  3. dark silver r33 with stockie wheels on near MV nice red 2dr r31 at workplace noarlunga
  4. black r33 4dr gave a wave, got a confused look from the soccer mum..lol on states rd lime green holden ute , full power takeoff/drift down my street in a 50k zone , race cars logos on it, and in huge letters, "THIRSTY CAMEL" followed by a blue EVO 9 full of wedding goers... how dumb can people be ? pretty sure it was this one UTE VID
  5. bet you couldnt find 1 I installed in 30min , hell maybe you would never find it, very very stealth and high tech setup but by that point you would end up slicing the seats up, and throwing bricks through the windows before setting fire to it. kinda a double edge sword, not getting it they trash it, getting it they trash it(unless you track then thru GPS to the there front door...lol)
  6. floating the ground thru the antenna jack , RCA or speaker frames shorting on metal can cause a few radios dont need big fat ground wires, they draw fark all current. bad alternator can cause "ripple" in the A/C sine wave being converted to DC. a bit deep for most but its normally when its about ready to fail or bad ground/power wires to it.corrosion on teminals ???? record the sound and it would narrow it down quickly
  7. white r33 cruising christies beach, 7 digit plates two r33 lines in HJ hackams drive thru, white with blue rim ring and silver I think mr rs4 at junkfood corner along with a metallic green r33 , rego something like exlr 8

  11. Autosalon magazine is dead , last issue in march http://autosalon.com.au/articles/cars/auto...the-final-issue
  12. that is going to take a fair bit to fix the fiberglass problems , unless your able to do the glasswork yourself you might be better off buying a new one on top of that it will need paint.
  13. not to be a tard but who is grant zippel ???
  14. Im entering, form will be sent in next week. dont forget sunscreen, think we all got cooked last time..lol
  15. spotted matty 31 in the MUD HUNTER on lonsdale hiway last night near hallet cove
  16. disclaimer I'm not held responsible for any failed attempts to wire the car properly..lol but this might help you ok then , try a cheap club to deter, dont park it in unsafe area for a long time, hide all items in sight, and then you can use the "clutch in" wire for a simple circuit cut.. if its a manual, or the auto box neutral safety switch , you can hide a switch under the carpet or to stop them until you get a proper alarm, a crim wont know how to start it quickly if it acts like a slightly dead battery and jump start wont work either. use a wire that isnt neon and tie it up clean to hide it. if you can get your head around that if not visit a sparky or shop who can, dont just cut wires willy nilly
  17. first guess, in car computer power supply is producing voltage "ripple" find a oscilloscope to test it or the RCA wires are run too close to a coil of wire(power supply, high power source, low quality voltage converter or RCA with broken shield picking up RFI Tweeter on a amp or deck powered ? try a new RCA RUN OUTSIDE the car to the tweeter amp, does it still do it ? tweeter speaker wires touching metal ???
  18. I prefer to neutralize crims before entry into the car. but wont detail my alarm points here really you could stop fuel stop power stop coil spark stop tires from rolling, remove shifter, steering wheels but in the end the car will still get pinched by a pro if you need to ask what it controls you might not be able to interface a alarm properly... ?????? and frying a ECU isnt cheap,, but the car will be neutralized then..lol
  19. meeee bad it was MR RS4..lol hot looking chick in a MX5 with a massive carbon wing, msmx5 I think it said off states rd spotted in front of me at maccas reynella a pearl white 4dr r33 with a red smear/smash on the rear , crushed tail pipes
  20. I agree with Luke,, I dont leave my car for 2 sec if It goes in for work under warranty... dont trust anyone even so called decent shops have some shonky cats working there. I dont even let them drive it into the garage ,,lol and yes I have seen that issue on RB engines, there is a simple trick to tighten the bolts on the fan,and if the belt was too tight it would kill the weakest link in the pulley system sux mate
  21. my first guess is a dodgy alarm install, ??? power locks arent wired up properly or loose in the door/kickpanel, stuck relay ? doubt its a loose fuse unless someone has a fuse tap in the fuse box
  22. It could be a lot of things, so to cut to the chase, read this Ten commandments of noise is a whine, or static noise ? static is plugs , coils arcing to ground most of the time whine, is normally a ground loop, RCA shield stuffed, wire to the wrong power source, or some other accessory causing issues, fan etc. does it have amps ? or just a deck ? does the noise come from all speakers ? does it do it on the radio and CD ? if just the radio look to see if the antenna is grounded and tight, or plugged in fully ? clean the terminals on the battery and make sure its tight. ground to the alternators frame mounting bolt back to the battery ground will help noise and current surge issues ? a powerline noise filter is a bandaid , and wont solve the actual problem correctly.
  23. sorry to be critical mate, but the angle is wrong on the gauges, the angle doesnt line up on the right side of the wood bit, to the dash it looks patchy at best , looks wooden !! due to the shape, thickness... you need some shape to it or it stands out bad ? and next time you work on the car, cover the dashboard on the sides, your scratching the hell out of it from the metal cage on the radio..lol try "CAST IRON" colour paint it looks nice and has a decent texture, looks kinda like titanium when painted on the dash over a silver base coat
  24. hackam, the armpit of adelaide..lol think that was you I waved too going up past HJ as well the other day ?????
  25. that sux, this town and the savages that vandalize and steal shite are unreal,, worse then USA by far . guess it would help if the police and courts actually put people in prison instead of a slap on the hand , your more likely to be jailed for kicking a dog then stealing a car here.. bastards !!
