  5. silver r34 with autobarn fake GTR badge on it and what looked like bob jane 5 spokers, twice in MV area. badge wasnt even mounted on the right side under the lock ??? take it off tool and melt down those wheels ,,,they're hideous!!! wine r33 with a kit, no wing, maybe jack 88 too far away to tell
  6. that was me,, lol too busy watching the cops stare at me on the way past if I forgot to wave White R31 giving me the devils horns wave on doctors rd black r33 with a big fmic with black HKS sprayed on it, south rd as above
  7. use the factory grommet, a small slice with a exacto type knife in the surround, and a old ford solid antenna works a treat with the ball end cut off , bent into a arc tape the wiring to it on the drivers seat side and push it thru your slice slowly, if you need to use some silicone spray lube to make it slide thru you should see the wires come out around the drivers feet well, kick panel. run them under the carpet, under the metal brackets and seat frame, away from the RCA wires. not pinched by bolts or dangling by the pedals .. tape it to the floor using gaffer tape for a neat job and no movement you can pass it thru into the boot behind the side panels in the rear seat area(by the shocks) or between the boot panel located behind the rear seat bottom corner. use care around the fuel pump wires and use a fuse at the battery PS.its easier to pull thick wire from the front seat area the short distance to the battery then it is to pull it thru the grommet the length of the car, especially with thick 4GA or bigger wires. if you push the ford antenna or clothes hanger thru the hole you can tape the big wires to it, spray with silicone and swish they go thru easy as piss
  8. they come with the crappy silver inserts, they attract dirt and water spots out of thin air, which is why they got binned, now sporting black suede with custom logos, 3D effects in the door panel as well. and carbon fiber lower door panels with 2 pairs of 6.5" and 1 of a kind carbon fiber horn tweeters the seats and steering wheel also has the silver inserts from the factory, and they come with VSPEC 2 alloy pedals, slightly more torque and power with different cams and a few other mods from the factory , lower emissions. and the gay looking front bar too..hahaha which reminds me I have a new full body kit in the shed if it cools off enough to paint it..lol 43c today,, bloody heat sux
  9. to comply with AUSSIE rules,, any battery in the boot must be completely sealed or vents installed to the outside (defectable ) CCA, 330 isnt enough, try something in the 650-850 range or more if you want it to last and be dependable on a hot/cold and dont want to replace it ever two years buy a odessy or ultima they dont cost much more then the other crappy batteries and you wont regret it.. saves you grief in the long run dont skimp for a few bucks there are a few other ones but they can be hard to find in oz. I wouldnt even consider anything else besides a AGM or spiral cell battery from one fo the above poeople. or worse case maybe a Delka INTIMIDATOR ?
  10. damn double post
  11. Cricket is farking Boring,, and I hold them responsible for all the hot weather too..hahahaha

  13. buy a double din radio so it doesnt block your heater and aircon controls. looks heaps better then the slide out ones. Eonon radios are ok if your just after lots of toys.. I have one(cause it was cheaper then name brands by a long shot) and run it thru a lot of items , menu graphics suck and logic layout is bad but otherwise works just fine,,, watch the GPS /TV plugs lots are marked wrong in back!!! and the GPS software is out of date a lot on the units from eblow

  17. yeah sorry mate,, I've been a bit busy to upload the photos and write it up.. the drivers door is slightly different mounting and wiring but not something most people could figure out if you take your time... I wont be able to upload my photos till next week sometime.. thanks
  18. can we have a amen to that chris..lol PJ ,, I'm from the US and its not all roses over there either.. they ran across the "book smart" people doing basic installer tests then landing a job with NFI how to do anything in the real world..they last about a week tops before they get let go.. I learned audio myself back in the days of 8 tracks, and "new" hi tech cassette decks with home subs gutted out for bass... and when crappy kraco 6x9 speakers were the hot thing.. (they bite ass for all you newbies ) and over the years learned a lot , went to uni for a degree in advanced electronics engineering , worked doing some crap for lockheed martin- space dept. and airlines. but overall I learned on the job thru trial and error.and have been certified by orion, rockford, and the above group in USA.. after doing this for a long long time now, I do still have a passion for it, but when you get older the body doesnt contort to the shape of a lambo seat while your head is under the dash soldering for hours on end. yes I'm old .lol but not grown up enough to know better. I do find OZ doesnt have the commitment but in the future I see a specialized sparky for audio integration due to the new stuff on the horizon, data buss, fiber optics, lasers etc to run everything from a car pc, in terms of safety, brakes, gps, you name it.. the average back yard installer wont be able to troubleshoot or interface that type of system without expensive tools and skills. and unlike most shops in USA, the majority of oz installers wont warranty a install for the life of the car/owner. we did all the time as long as it hasnt been touched by anyone else first. I dont think we had a defect rate of less then 1 percent from a bad install.. only failed equipment and even that was rare.. except for a few underwater marine amplifiers from a sunken speed boat..lol and if you do get in the biz.. go to CES in vegas ,, the promo chicks and goodies are fantastic.. nothing like parting for days on end...lol maybe someday I will open a shop again , and hire someone to teach.. I could dress like yoda..hahaha come join me on the dark side (audio installer)lol

  22. reshaped mine to match the other dash bits and cover it with carbon fiber , to get rid of the trim ring altogether, near zero clearance , just enough for tv motorization to move
  23. Ok,, shame cause its a big show with national recognition. ?? Les do we know what day the car audio sound off will be,,, your schedule shows both days ? and I dont feel like spending two days in the wonderland of Murray Bridge lol
