be warned in advance , some people have issues with DIY battery replacements on R33 when it comes time to put in new terminals security and size is critical http://www.odysseybattery.com/ http://www.optimabatteries.com.au/Products...aYellowTop.aspx http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/default.asp a few decent ones above if you look for CCA , which is for cold start cranking amps, is useless unless you live in the mtns. and it snows the value is a "guess at best". for a RB to start you need about a 650CCA battery, to make it happy and dependable for a few years. once you go to AGM, DRY CELL, SPIRAL WOUND and the other catchy term battery they provide huge amounts of instant power, the yellow tops are for extreme car audio and driving, if you drive short trips they will die.. never recharge completely and short cycle charge if you go to the park and blast tunes for hours, it will die,, then you need a blue top , same for a boat deep cycle, but you not recommended unless you run a starting battery as well. if you have a basic decent stereo and dont park and jam the red top will be fine, I had one for 11 years in my old car in snow too Ive had good luck and bad luck with every battery made so I can only say, buy it from a place that stands behind them for at least a year if not longer..lol get a drycelll, AGM, or spiral core, your car will thank you for it. but remember to update your terminals when you do that as well, and double your grounding up. run another 4ga wire from the back of you alternator bracket bolt to your chassis to improve your charging circuit, less misfires and smoother idle is a common side affect...all good ones plus ADR rules suggest that you car battery needs to be a sealed one(non spillable) or the venting of the battery needs to be in place all the ones above are fine for use , you can mount them upside down if you had too..lol any of the above batteries in the 850CCA range or higher will fit the bill,, my R34 had 2600CCA in it but the battery failed for no reason, no stereo in the car when it failed... go figure. and it depends on how much weight you want to lug around, the big ones are nearly twice as heavy as normal batteries, but provide twice the service life, power at least. if your only care about go fast, then you can get by with a smaller one

maybe in the future,,,which is why I warned people about it in advance..lol carbon is a fussy bastard to work with sometimes to look nice.

I run a 4 channel amp to a DVC sub, but in separate chambers ,( until I get my sponsor to cough up some amps..lol ) I bridge two 4 channel amps and run each to a 1.6 ohm load in bridge mode per coil , which is 2x 12 inch DVC subs I think what Chris was saying is your subs are more then likely sharing the airspace in that box, if you run either of those amps to 1 sub and not the other it wont sound good and could cancel the bass all together. without knowing how the sub and box is wired/partitioned off inside I would say no, unless you run it like mine with 2 of the same exact amps , partitioned box. and set the gains to match exactly with advanced equipment. if you can only run one amp, and the subs are DVC you can run all 4 channels in bridge mode or stereo but its not optimum to say the least. and neither of these amps are what I would purchase to run subs. if you have both of them already .....then run the alpine to the subs in bridge mode a pair of channels to each sub depending on the models , Ohm loads etc. and the pioneer to the fronts

burning black is too rich, the grey is more water in tailpipe MOST of the time. if you car is cold when you boot it the mixture will be really black, grey your O2 sensor is prob dirty, and the intake plenum is prob caked with carbon as well. spark plugs, otherwise it sounds normal for a turbo car.

Anyone Know Anything About The R34 Gt Na Tweeters?
Carbon 34 replied to HairyMerkin's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
mine have been moved off the pillars and wings on the door. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...rs-t241312.html most R34 people seem to plonk them on the the little triangle on the door panels.. I could say, the sky is the limit on tweeters. 5 bucks to more then 5k a pair. listen to plastic domes, silk domes, titanium, alloy domes on a sound board with YOUR music choices. I can say most like the sounds of silks for sound quality. for the symbols to be clear they need to be a decent dome. so chose your path first. massive system or 4 speakers and deck simple one ? or somewhere in the middle. brands , you would be surprised to learn , a lot of the big companies use the same speakers so unless your brand loyal dont fuss about brand, let your ears /wallet choose for you. also remember a 5k pair of tweeters in the wrong spot , wont sound much better then 5 dollar ones in the perfect spot. FIND A GOOD installer. or decide on the level of custumization your comfortable doing, BEFORE buying anything. plus I tried to send you specs on the screen mate, I have account problems with sending pm's...grrrrrrr I'll try it again in a while cheers Troy -
great work damo,, it wont open,,, says I dont have permission to access it, and right click , save as wont work cause its in a HTM location

a screw driver run thru one of the balance holes is usually enough, if not try a steel scrap through the starter hole .. if you can get one bolt off, use a steel flat bar and make one,, drill a hole in the end , pop the bolt back into it and use a bellhousing bolt for the other end.. works a treat. WD40 helps too..lol some take a light heat from a heat gun or plumbers torch to get loose.. but dont overheat the rear main seal or it will melt.

unless they have been replaced already in japan Waste Bin spec, or break off the magnets and use on beer fridge in the shed..lol even the cheapo tweeters for 10 bucks a pair are better then those most tweeters are small but have massive housings to mount them (compared to the actual motor structure of the tweeter that is) -
can you say paranoid, since when would Apple , Itunes, or Quicktime be used for these purposes.. geez how retarded actual disclaimer agreement You also agree that you will not use these products for any purposes prohibited by United States law, including, without limitation, the development, design, manufacture or production of nuclear, missiles, or chemical or biological weapons.

fan clutch, is common for lines to fail, but easy to test , search for it, I wrote a how to test article on here for it a while ago the thermostat was placed in backwards ???? some cars they can be ? did you burp the system, the two bleeds on the plenum and near thermostat area. and squeze the top and bottom hose when cool to and cap off to rid the air lock in the head ????? turn on the heater full heat ...fan on when filling coolant, to rid the air lock in the heater core ? do not use plain water ,, unless your motor blew its coolant on the road and you need to get home. it boiling point is too low and crusty engine insides. dont mix coolant , never water pump, failure, or bind up ??? you will overheat without the shroud in traffic use Redline water wetter or Motul socool products when sorted out, it makes a huge difference worse case, backflow the system with garden hose and flush it out, if you took off the head ,, did you check the gasket isnt blocking the water galleries ?????

the antennas prob arent hooked up right, had one with the antenna screw in mismarked , but also the GPS antenna must see the sky clearly, where did they mount it. behind metalized windowtint ? or upside down ? the digital tv, well the signals arent the best stationary let alone moving but they do make antennas that can lock on the signal at 200mph the radio signal antenna in skylines sucks a best. diversity, twin input , creates more problems with mutipath on aftermarket radios, if they just hacked off the old wires and not properly converted it, the signal will suck .!!! yeah these radios , for the cost and features arent bad, the GUI graphics blows ass, might have to hack it..lol and the manuals are below average . still for the cost and what you get, Pioneer and a few others should reduce there pricing , cause ebay is selling the crap out of these radios. lol
-
screws/pushes into the rocker cover or inlet plenum depending on the car , the place the oil breather lines plugs into with the little rattle ball or slide of metal in it.
-
still an italian built cockbox...eitherway. I wouldnt own one !!! after my not so impressive month of driving one !!!! even the F40,50 etc doesnt impress me sure pretty fast but they build them like crap , pull off a few panels on one sometime,,, its full of contact glue, fit and finish is 1000% better on a lexus cane them and they cost a fortune to repair, do that same in a jap car it still starts the next day..lol 2f2f "smoke em"
