could be that Martin, was the battery dead or disconnected ? if it got jumped it might have blew a fuse or fusable link ? bad grounds maybe ? corrosion on terminals ? I think its been covered before on SAU but could be wrong ?

yeah I had one let go in similar fashion , opened up the pressure plate to find shrapnel inside it on my RX7, Aluminum flywheel / Center force racing clutch make sure you check the run out on the flywheel, bet it could be borderline to thin? also check the bearings on the input shaft ,always replace the center pilot bearing, you call it something else in OZ. but it goes into the crankshaft? good time to swap out the seals on the input shaft as well ? and if your real bored polish the casing to mirror finish..hahahah sucks mate but least your floor doesnt have a hole in it from the flywheel

Im in the process of doing the second layer of dynomat and some other tricks to silence the car inside(For SPL competitions and my sanity on adelaide ruts)..my GTT had a serious case of rattles in the sunroof area even with the radio off.lol there are many Dynamat copies and some work just as good if not better when you consider price. but dynamat has great quality anything is better then nothing???

nope I havent sent mine in either Martin. actually thinking of not attending (95% sure I'm not coming) , my car would be better at extreme HP show and Autofest shows as it transforms a fair bit in the next month hard to miss out on a event like this

sure but no laughing..lol post them up later today hint the glue and old stuff comes right off without drama, just soak it in wax and grease remover first. better then screw driver scraping. and wont damage the plastic if rinsed off after with water then dried , after your done put on some new interior protector to get rid of the dull look after using above methods. use with care disclaimer. Becareful wax and grease cleaner can kill some plastics and cloth. but in most cases wont on door trims and seats. and will dry your skin out till it cracks and bleeds. so use latex gloves . PS take the panels off to do them right. !!!

just did mine this weekend on my GTT, in black suede with metalized embroidered logo for shows fronts will be carbon fiber bottoms and panels, suede inserts.... factory top bits , customized to hold 4 speakers in each door, in a sealed box bit odd how nissan didnt make that part come off but instead glued the cloth in the groove??? most other cars are stuck on with screws or melted on plugs etc.

it can also be lacquer. if thats is the case buy marine grade lacquer to respray it. to stop yellowing ,dull, cracking note Carbon fiber uses different epoxy for its clear coat as you put it. you need surf board grade epoxy to be strong enough for car parts you dont need to autoclave parts either, unless you have a vacuum pump etc around. Im doing heaps of my stuff now . all fine without it.

I bought the Skyline as my daily...lol to drive the wheels off it and a Supra RZ for weekend toy but now I sold the Supra...lol plus I wouldnt be caught dead driving your Old man / ghetto mobile. the rain fills the seats up doesnt it..lol
