  1. ask Chad he has some R34 GTR wheels on his car ? pretty sure they fill the guards fine
  2. I sorta have a cheap R31 already..468,000 k on it purrs like a kitten still just think a car like daves old one would be good, there cheap as hell now, less then 9k for a cool one
  3. I think I might go the lexus route for a daily, cheap and lots nicer..... 2J turbo power too or v8 model
  4. I know the feeling my old jeep CJ5 hit the sprinkler pipes in a parking garage once after clearing the safety poles.. really tall ..lol good thing I saw them coming to slow down before it hit my windshield my dodge 4X4 V10 pickup wouldnt fit in the round parking ramps ...too tall, too long
  5. yep, bin it.. for 88 bucks on sale you can buy a Pioneer or Sony, or look to see what kinda deal chris can swing ya..lol
  6. at rest the battery should be 12-13 volts roughly when you turn it over the thing will drop to 10ish if the starter is getting ready for a clean up. drawing too much current, or motor mistuned skyline starters rarely fail, you can pull them off and clean the goop out of them, take off the end cap and shine the rotor(communicator- bronze shaft) and clean off the laminated coils, slap it back in for another 5 years. worse case , put in new brushes. but rare yes, new batterys do fail, my Odessy PCA 1200 failed the first week of having it, DEAD cell, wouldnt charge above 10volts you should use some of this stuff if your battery isnt sealed, works a treat , just hard to find...lol BIG W had it I think for about 7 bucks
  7. spotted a white r35 at my house. silver stag in hackam, again..lol also spotted hung 31 the other day on lonsdale hwy looked at XXXI r31... fark!!! he wants $5,800 for it.. but its cleans as hell.. way to much cash
  8. dave will put in a engine.... in his own mind that is...lol good idea dave, had my bike out dusting it off the other day..lol
  9. wont be there tonight going to be a nice day out too but dyno day will be 25C , nice day
  10. spotted a black 4 dr r34 on my way to grand auto wreckers yesterday got a wave lots of cut in half r33, goodies for r33 if anyone needs parts..lol including some front bars, seats.etc
  11. sounds a bit wonky in your words..lol but yes I have run larger wires into my GTT doors, it is a bugger to do !!! very tight access if your not after massive loud tunes you can run the amp speaker wires to the factory harness behind the radio, and solder on from those to avoid the wire running into the doors ?(most common dealers would do this route unless requested to run new wires into doors) amp wires will go down drivers side to battery, RCA/trigger wire down passenger side, speaker wires down the middle or passenger away from RCA fused at the battery, grounded in the boot to a solid bolt with paint removed around it, dont drill into fuel tank,Hicas steering lines, etc ? if your not sure take it to a shop to get it done properly. and remember the airbag and seat belt tensioner pre-charges can be triggered if you dont use caution !!!
  12. that should be fine for the fuse rating.. if it blows that look into a bad wiring on the circuit. the boss comes with its own fuse on the harness if I remember right, just leave it inline as well to be safe
  13. might be easier to see in person, or photos, you tube to hear it ???? one thing I would guess right off is you dont have the port tuning right on the box to start with, and will destroy the woofer in the end if thats the case ?
  14. agree with above, check the battery current holding ? bet its rooted it will show 12v but wont start the car for crap, also check the grounds and positive terminals, remove them, clean with battery cleaner wire brush thingy. try it again. also voltage at the alternator doesnt mean the current is getting to the battery, just replaced one on a R31 last week, same issues, new battery ... stuffed alternator but showing 12-14 volts running the alarm will get flaky as hell if it sees low voltage, doors will do weird things, siren on and off, etc,,,,plus the battery backup in the siren will die too if its not fixed soon...
  15. nice shot mate, a hint for future shots,,,,, take the P plate down it distracts from how sweet your car is. a little tweek of the contrast, and a little crop,,, I think you would have a real nice shot, nice work
  16. My mom has a infiniti 4x4 truck back in Denver. super nice as long as it never goes off road, she loves it,,,big jump from her Porshe 928S grey market car to a truck...lol worked on a fair few infiniti Q45, Q30 models in USA. but Lexus is still nicer and more attention to detail IMO
  17. r33 with some red /white custom plates, rss 334 or something similar on south rd
  18. call me a puss I cant stand it...lol like eating a salt block, even after 9 years here I still wont eat it...lol
  19. I'm dragging out the photo gear for Dyno day and will be there for photos all day. plus maybe some after depending on weather, location surroundings etc otherwise Im game for a photoshoot day in the near future if the weather holds off a bit ???? I have some new interesting spots for photos
  20. yuk, too friggan salty crumpets, better then pancakes but not as good as waffles.... the debate begins again...lol how about french toast ???
  21. figured it was french,, I just like the Sphinx'ter error..lol translated into , "it shit itself"..lol
  22. jack up the car on that side, support it tight...with the wheel on rock it from the top back towards you, does it click ? if not try to rock it from side to side, does it knock a bit ? loose wheel bearings, worn out ? loose tie rods, worn out ? sway bar loose or bushings worn ? loose wheel or mis tightened ? loose shock tower on top or bottom ? loose dog bone bolts on the calipers ? the wrong lug nuts, not coned the right way for the wheels ? hit the wheel with a kick or rubber hammer, do you hear rattles, loose brake pads, shims ? all pretty common on nissans, could be a worn gear on the steering rack as well ? but not so likely hope that helps dave
  23. sweet error message off the forums... when I searched for loxton...lol The error returned was: Erreur Sphinx : searchd error: unknown local index 'ipb_search_topics' in search request Merci de contacter un Administrateur !
  24. FYI - most wiring for the ebay kits is re labeled or unbranded kits from china, asian for big companies, like aeropro, stinger, etc the installers/biz owners like myself who visit the dealers at the CES in vegas can attest to that. doesnt make it rubbish. the thing to watch for is the RCA wires, some are pure crap, used stinger brand for a long time with only a few failures over the years on RCA power wires dont fail unless , too much current is pulled thru them ,burn jackets from being to close to heat sources like exhaust, or sharp objects cutting into the sides. just make sure the jacket is flame proof, flexible, do not use solid core wire, never , ever!!!! in a car and fuse/ curcuit breaker at the battery is setup to blow before the amps load, I would use a breaker, lots cheaper in the long run and quicker to reset if the amps max current draw =110 amps use a 80/100 amp fuse/ breaker at the battery to" PROTECT THE CAR" , not the amps, the amps should be fused on the side of them or very close by to amps if the fuse isnt on the side of curcuit board already. you will never hit the fuse breaker point in 99.99% of the situations playing music, but a short curcuit to ground will hit it in a milli-sec. which is enough to start the car on fire from arc welding thru 4ga cable? so make it as close as humanly possible to the battery, and use damn good grounds, battery terminals too ???
