I think it is designed to be an N/A cam but apparently also works well with turbos. Got new lashpads and was told the same rocker arms would work Located in Canberra mate . Cheers for the offers guys but I have already sourced the L20ET turbo setup from a bloke who used to rally Datsuns. Probably be a few months before I actually get going on the turbo work though. Suppose no-one has a Microtech MT-4 laying around that they are willing to sell? Also, anyone know of anywhere that does cheapish resprays around canberra?

Hi everyone, Just having a bit of a look around for an S13 Nissan Silvia. MUST be manual transmission and little or no mods. I'm unconcerned as to wether turbo or N/A. Not fussed by small scratches/small dints. Looking to spend about 4k(let me know if this sounds unrealistic) and I also have an R30 skyline which I am willing to trade with adjustment. What's everyone's opinion on the cam itself? Good move or no point(I'm installing it on Saturday)? I was told that the stock setup chokes the L24E pretty bad and the cam would fix that significantly(like about 15-20hp worth N/A); but I would REALLY notice the advantages when the motor is running boost....... And rear R31 disk brakes. Also a good move?(they are going on in the next fortnight hopefully) Sorry MAG86, I am an idiot I just tried a few alternative keywords in my search and found the answer to about 3 other questions I had. Sorry to make you repeat yourself. I am going to investigate remapping the delco further.........will let you know how it goes

Yeah, gonna try and install mods that will work well with the turbo as I'm planning to turbo the L24E rather than do an engine transplant............ Why?? Because there are heaps of RB20DETs around and L24ETs are a lot fewer

Hi guys, RB25DET throttle body a good choice for the L24E? Also can anyone estimate the bhp(at the flywheel) that these mods will give an L24E? -72 degree regrind camshaft from SW motorsport -RB25DET throttle body -Exhaust (2.5 inch piping i think) -K&N panel filter -Maybe a set of extractors -Also thinking about using variable resistors to modify the afm(has anyone done this before?) I'm looking for about 160hp so I have to try and gain about 30hp up from stock. I have turbo plans for the future but just looking at N/A mods for the moment.

Sorry to keep bothering everyone with the questions......... I met a bloke the other day who used to to a lot of work on the early skylines/datsuns. He was saying that my 1984 MR30 skyline had probably gained ten or fifteen bhp as the previous owner replaced the exhaust meaning that the emmissions control system had been ditched which allowed for much smoother airflow because the car(in his words) 'isn't trying to eat it's own shit' What do you guys reckon?

Hi Everyone, Ive got an old apexi safc with just the 5 knobs at the front and the six wires(white, blue, yellow, green, black and red). Will this go onto an L24E? If yes does anyone have a wiring diagram/know anyone around canberra who installs these?

Assuming that i replace the ECU with a megasquirt or similar(sorry i didnt mention that bit in the first post lol). Ive just been told(correct this if it is wrong) that the fuel pump is running near capacity when tuned to stock settings and must be replaced to run any higher amount of flow, just wondering if this applies to the injectors as well?????

Hi Everyone, Would I gain any bhp replacing just the fuel pump and fuel regulator on an L24E in an MR30 skyline or would no benefit be gained unless the fuel rail/injectors were replaced as well????? Cheers Michael

Okay thanks everybody, Would an apxei air fuel computer be suitable ive heard things about incompatiblity with sensors but im not sure And the reason for nitrous oxide is that i told someone I wouldnt use a turbocharger/supercharger in it and they bet I couldnt get a peak over 250hp without the turbo
