Private as in a one on one tour? Or as in a small local guy taking on small groups? Isn't one on one, like awkward at times since you just want to chill by yourself rather than having a bum chum all the time?

Toby, what time of the year did you go Sapa? Apparently it's not nice there around this time... was more or so wanting to see the multi-level rice fields which is out of season atm?

True that Birds, those tiny plastic tables and chairs have some of the nicest food. That one random stand selling fob rolls is just the bomb. I've been back to nam twice, but only travelled around the south. But yes, insane traffic!

Planning to go, Da Nang, Can tho, Hoi An, Sapa(but it's too cold?), Ha Long Bay- Cat Ba, Cu Chi Tunnels and then south to Phu Quoc island before a week or so with the missus family. Tours, as in the group tours with the tourists. Do you just rock up and hire a bike easily?

Going with the missus and nah, not a party animal. Just want to enjoy the country and the places, we won't be doing constant tours. Just here and there then relax for a bit. Recommend tours and places! What you did in Cat Ba island is exactly what I want to do, also going to the vietcong tunnels when down in the south. Kayaking, exploring, adventures..

Speaking of overseas, am going back to nam in 2weeks time for a month. Doing tours from north to south, any recommendations?

Might do that, goldclass ticket expires in 2weeks time. Beanbag cinema is also awesome for anyone that hasn't tried it.

On the rhs of the site in the breakdown cost, it says compliance $5k yet down in the overview tab it states "Cannot be Complied. Race use or display purposes only" ??

Yeah, got the report. I checked and they went through the report with me, the rear wheel looks a lot straighter too so I'm pretty sure it's alright
