  2. alrighty.. think ill be best to give boostworx a call and have a bit of chat about what to go with and what they would prefer to tune... im sorta swinging towards to haltech after spending so much on the motor. engine is only as good as the systems that support it cheeers guys.. appreciate it
  3. i plan on having it tuned by boost worx in adelaide.. they do haltech and microtech as far as im aware.. i have only briefly spoke on the phone with them and they didnt specify a favourite.. my engine builder suggested a autoronic ecu.. at the time he wanted to run my motor in on the engine dyno with the autoronic but the outright cost of that was to much for me at the time. my original plan was the microtech.. now im contemplating a haltech
  4. after peoples opinions on what is the better management system to go with.. micotech ltx12's or the haltech 11v2 im running a fully built rb25/30 in my cefiro. looking for mid to high 300rwkw's computer and run in is my next step.. cheers tom

  6. hey all.. recently put my built rb25/30 and rb25t gearbox into my cefiro.. im stuck at the gearbox mounts, im wondering if anyone on hear is running an rb25 box in their cefiro and what they have used in the way of engine mounts?? i heard that a s13 ca18 gearbox crossmember can be used and makes it fit perfectly?? but cant confirm.. and no one in sa would happen to have a turbo cefiro rear section of tail shaft for sale??? haha cheeers tom
  7. hey mate. i have the same r32 rb25de head on my fully built rb25/30 motor.. im running gtr valve springs with a ported head and standard valves... altho not yet running in my car.. dahtone racing is a member who i brought the head from.. i know he was running it and it was going fine.. good luck mate.. id say rb26 springs would be the go for you
  8. ahhh no no.. lol i was having alot of trouble just gettin my spigot bush in. i had no auto spigot in their. was just to tight in the crank and kept crushing the bushes. i slightly grinded mine to a tiny bit smallr diameter.. still had to use wood to tap it in. just not as tight a fit. its all good now
  9. urgent
  10. i ended up gettin mine to fit... i used a grinder bench and grinded the out side diametre till it fight in nicely
  11. ahh yep sorry mate... can delete this thread if ya wanna... cheers

  13. wanting a rb20 gearbox dummy out put shaft to use when aligning twin plate clutches and such.. pay cash. cheers
  14. ah yes thats the wire clip i was talking about... hmmmm alright ill see if i can muster that to clip together... cheeers guys tom
  15. when getting my last 4 spigot bushs in i have used a wooden end of a broom and a hammer to very lightylly tap it in.. all of them have f**ked up some how.. they compress once in and wont accept the gearbox shaft in them...
  16. nah not that wire clip that is wrapped around the thrust carrier.. its like half way down the clutch fork.. a long skinny wire clip slides threw it :S confused
  17. hey all.. can anyone confirm what the small wire clip thing that slides through the clutch fork is for?? that is all.. cheeers
  18. im having big trouble with this aswelll... gone threw 3 repco spec spigot bush's. rb30 crank with a rb25 gearbox.. its just a no go.. once the spigot bush is in the crank it does not let the gearbox output shaft slide threw it.. annoying as f**k. no idea what to do..
  19. yeah i was tapping my spigot bush in exact same distance into the crank... hmm its hard where i am because im one of the few people in this town that drive an import.. so i have to travel about an hour and half each way to get to jap import spares in adelaide.. i have thought about getting another brand new spigot bush and cutting a thin slice straight threw on side. dodgy i know... i just wanna get this motor and box together
  20. is the 14mm carrier a must have with the twin plate clutch?? i have a kts strenghened pivot ball in their aswell if thats relavant
  21. where abouts did you get a dummy input shaft. just wreckers or somthing?? we know it was deffinatly the spigot bush as it was being pushed back into the crank further.
  22. i dont have access to a dummy input shaft at the moment. my old man lined the clutch plates up with a half inch driver handle.e we have tried adusting the cltcuh plates.. but thats when we figured out it was hitting the spigot bush instead of sliding into it
  23. nah no real deforming of the bush or anything. both mating surfaces are clean and that.. i have a used spigot bush which im goona try next and see how it goes.
  24. using the soft wooden end of a broom stick to tap the spigot bushs in.. im using standard engine mounts but got a conversion cross member for rb25 box in cefiro off a mate along with the tail shaft needed for it to alll work. with the gearbox siting on the ground i can slide the spigot bush over the out put shaft fair easyilly and smoothlly. the fit in the back of the crank is tight as. and yeah once the bush is in its like it squiish's the bush size down so much that it cant let the out put shaft slide threw..
