  1. Pffft...I still can't believe you guys would go into so much trouble to reset the ECU. The proper way to do it according to a NISSAN ECR33 Service Manual is this. 1.On the right hand side just under your steering wheel is a fuse box cover. Pull it off. You will see a set of fuses and some Wiring Looms. The one we'll need looks like this, it is not connected to anything, this is your diagnostic plug that NISSAN uses to find faults. 2.Now grab a piece of wire, bout .5mm-1mm in diameter, you need atleast 10cm and splice the two ends off like this. 3.Now we're going to short out 2 (two) of these pins, which will reset the ECU in this process. -Turn the Ignition onto "ON", within the next 10 seconds you need to... -Place one end of the wire into the Bottom Left Pin. "YES" put it in there...you won't get a shock. -Place the other end of the wire in the Pin right next to it.... LIKE THIS Your engine light should Flash 5 (five) times SLOW and 5 (five) times FAST. CONGRATS...ECU RESET!!!! It does sound complicated, but it is EASY AS! Any questions..feel free to ask! Also, you will need to go for a spirited drive for the ECU to correct AFR's. Atleast 3 to 4 0-100km/h runs. Fuel is not changed, as it uses standard fuel map, but rather adjusts the Air coming in. It will fine tune itself over a period of days.
  2. To put the GTR into rear wheel drive is simple. My R33 Service Manual states:- There are 2 Methods to change the drive mode to 2WD setting. 1. Remove air evacuation connector, and depress the brake pedal 5 times within 10 seconds after placingthe ignition switch to ON posititon. At the same time the 4WD warning lamp will flash in the meter panel (twice in a second) to indicate it's in 2WD mode. To return the the vehicle drive mode to 4WD mode, place the ignition switch to OFF position and connect air evacuation connector. 2. Remove front propeller shaft. Can anybody confirm this works??
  3. Toshi, Need a tune badly mate. Car: R33 Gtst Mods: - Walbro in tank fuel pump - GCG High Flow - Front Mount Intercooler - Spark Plugs Gapped .8mm - 3inch Turbo Back Exhaust - Boost Controller - Apexi Pod Shielded - Cold Air Intake. Looking for 230+rwkw. Am I missing anything here? Please let me know. Will book in Dyno tune in next month or two. Cheers! RJ.
  4. Also I can try to pick these up on the weekend. Will let you know!
  5. Will take Bonnet and GTR Front Bar! Please Confirm that its black Series 1 KH3 Paint Code, PM SENT!
  6. As topic suggests. Black bonnet R33.. Colour Code KH3. Contact RJ 0401338134 or PM! Cheers!
  7. GREASING?...how did you grease it? Mines making that noise too!
  8. Would it be possible for you to post what's left for sale? Interseted in bonnet. Cheers!
  9. You need supporting mods but a High flow will do exactly that. It will be just as responsive. Or if you got money...nothing compares to GT-RS. Torque everywhere on less boost. But to your first question. 10-11psi is good. Mines set at 11 and rises to 12.
  10. It would be handy to know what state you're in. I live in NSW, I've been done for pod with bracket, got told to shield it. So i did, and also made a CAI. I suggest everyone to do the same as a pod unshielded just sucks in engine temp air! mAybe not shield it if you don't have to, but atleast get some cold air to it. I certainly felt a diference!
  11. It'll be running rich man. I did this too. your fuel is getting burnt better but also your O2 sensor will be reading a lot clearer. It will show up as Rich...best to reset ECU. Or get a tune!
  12. Also, has anyone notiecd the 2 speed cameras about 100m from eachother on the F3 North Bound? Whats the go with that?
  13. Matt, carpet only weighs 250-500g if even. I've seen you drive past me once on Mona Vale rd near Terry Hills, I got a black on black R33 series 1. Anyways, spoke to a reputable mechanic, he said I gotta take the rear seat belts out too. Apparently having no spare tire is a defect. Wtf??? Basically wanna make the thing as light as possible, they are heavy as f**K...anything to shed some weight. It's a weekend car, and in near future wanna head out and do some track work.
  14. As topic suggests, but also I want to remove just about everything else i don't need. ie; spare tire, jack..etc etc. What do I need to do to make this all legal? And what more, registerable? It will be cleanly done too. eg. when rear seats are out I will put carpet in to make it look cleaner. Cheers.
  15. Something like this. I was thinking about buying this and just buy a piping kit. Are you running standard turbo? Any power increase/lag?
  16. Nice 33 Simon, By the way...completely off topic, but do you still get good air flow to your cooler without the front bar cut out like i've seen on others?
  17. My intention was warming tyres up at drag strip. But yeh? Who knows?
  18. Of Course to all the above. Yes we've all done it. But I believe there is a place and time for everything. Midnight on Hwy, with no cars yeh maybe. But not bright daylight in 60 zones, and that applies to all speeds above. I'm all for school Zones, it is a pet hate of mine and I purposely slam my brakes on ppl behind me tryin to speed me up. Remember mate, SHIT HAPPENS! You're young, you think you're unbreakable. I use to think this aswell. But I quickly grew up. Take it to the track mate, see how your car handles in controlled conditions. Take some skidpan courses. Anybody can drive in a straight line, but not all people can correct a car once you lose traction at 100km/h. And by the way, this is a public forum, Police do look through the pages. And you have a thread with pictures of your car with the number plates on. So i'd be more wise with what you inform us with. RJ
  19. F6 Typhoons are fast. I would never race one. Only reason is cas all cops drive them undercover. 180km/h...crazy on street. Make sure i'm not in the way next time ok mate. Pretty dangerous.
  20. I have ABS. The way I described is what I use to do, but I learnt from a guy when I was at the drags once to try Heel-n-Toe method! Maybe he needs to check the strength of his brakes. Oh and make sure the car is stationary whilst the rears are spinning. My ABS actually does come in sometimes when the car starts to move a bit. NO NEED TO SHOUT!
  21. ^^ Yeh that's what I do. But i'm assuming his friend doesn't know what he's doing, so i'm just giving him the easy way in.
  22. Mate, Rev 7000, Dump Clutch, Quickly put left foot on brakes HARD!... Oh and change 2 second...don't just leave it on limiter in 1st. Actually don't leave it on limiter in any gear. Control it with the throttle!
  23. Can I have ur headlights..lol?
  24. ok..arguement over now. We all get it! I'm guessin it was all that+installation! But who knows?
  25. guys guys..come on! I think you've had your question answered mate. No need for E-wars... Let's all help eachother out. On that note... $2000 is very steep. Maybe a GReddy or HKS "TURBO-BACK" would cost that much +installation! Or the guy that told you that was just bullshitting ya. I got an X-force turbo-back for $1250 inc intsall @ Liverpool Exhaust!
